Looks great Tom!! I really like the bowed bezel idea. It will give a little more "rounded" feel without having to bevel the corners. Blasted stainless bezel with the polished stainless buttons will look great!! I agree with the engraved logo on the stainless bezel. That would definitely add to the look;) You know how I feel about 7068:D but with the mil spec hard anodizing on the 7075 that would work also.:thumb:

Is the port under the adjustment buttons for chip updates or is that where the charging port will be located?
On the dna 200 you can charge at 1a and do updates from the USB. Mine will have a 4wire (3s) just connector in the battery bay to charge at 3a from. That's where you would plug in the charger that comes with it. (Just like the one I told you about).

The port you see in the pics is the USB.
The jst port will be a cleaned up version of this:

See the white plug? That's where the 3a charger plugs in. Completely dead to full charge takes less than 30 minutes. I have seen almost dead to full in 15minutes. A lot of the 30 minutes is spend re-balancing the battery. If you charge before its dead the battery doesn't get as far out of balance.

I have been green lit for the Kennedy run! Once you have a high power bottom feeder cloud attys become a lot more fun. Clouds and taste are possible when you can actually push them. The Kennedy 24 is awesome and will look great on the Cam-R. I did 5 of them today for my personal stash. Awesome so far. I have never been much on cloud attys but these are crazy tasty. I have retired the velocity that was on the 2.1. 81watts and chugging. I can't wait until I can share this with you.

CAM-R v2.final.
Getting there...
Thoughts?
Notice the flush 510.

Notice the bowed out bezel. I'm going to try to do it in stainless with big square buttons.
Colors used for CAD purposes only. The first run will be anodized in a medium to dark gray gunmetal color. Bezel to be raw ss. Buttons not sure yet, thoughts?

Just a thought but a gunmetal body with polished buttons and if it can be done, the "outline" of the smiling catfish ( in your logo) polish engraved in the center of one side with " Catfish mods' polish engraved and centered underneath would look pretty ba'dass . The extra engraving would add a bit to the bottom line of course but it would be class me thinks.

Think Hellfire E8 only "Catfished" on your own mod...:)

I'm sure the Cam-R will be great I'm just not finding enough info about the DNA 200 chip ( well info but wish washy info). The sx350j chip I could find plenty of info and all positive not long after that came out.

I did read somewhere that they were looking at making the upgrades for the dna200 available for mac users sometime in September so that would help me.

Is there a cable you plug into the white connector inside the mod to charge and would the end plug into a USB or a wall outlet ?

See a few posts up. I believe the charging questions are answered there.

I see the white connector but whats at the other end of the cable that plugs into that ?
A balance charger. It uses a 4-pin connector that is visually similar to old variable-speed computer fans. I believe Tom plans on supplying it. It will use a 110V (USA mains voltage, I'm not sure if you'll need an inexpensive adapter to use it) power source, I imagine, and I'm sure it will have nothing to do with USB.

The board features the ability to charge the battery using the USB port below the buttons at 1 amp, so charging "on-the-go" will still be possible, just not as fast as the balance charger.

Confused. What sort of information are you looking for?

The dna200 is actually one of the best documented chip around.

The evolv website contains everything from the specs, to the user interface, to the software.

Both ECF and VU have strong forum threads discussing it as well.
