Is the original Manta more of a MTL atty, just wondering if Tom might have any left and what the cost is?

The V1 has less available air, so would skew towards MTL vaping, but it's no more capable of that than the V2.

Beyond just the amount of air, the V2's afc is generally preferred, as you're hearing above.

I believe Tom has some V1's in stock.

Hooray for the Manta 2!

I like the v1 deck a little better too, less funky pin and desquonking(?) leaves a little juice behind to totally swamp the wick. With brass AFC it may be permanently seated on the CC brass which is a month away.

Good news, great news and bad news:

The v1 deck with v2 afc is confirmed.

The "CF" engraving is also a confirmed.

The Brass afc is a no go... Evidently food grade brass isn't available in the Phillipines. Seems weird to me also but 2 out of three isn't bad. I even offered to send a bar of brass to them but was shot down due to warranty issues with their CNC manufacturer. I did a little research on brass; I never knew their was so much lead in every type of brass. I thought naval brass was lead free... Wrong! .75-3% lead! I found a few companies that make lead free brass but I have to order huge quantities.

I will be paying the invoice for the manta CFs on Tuesday. Hopefully we can have these in and out of my hands in 2 weeks. I'm stoked! Maybe I will push for CF edition Stumpys! I truly thank everyone of you for coming together and giving us the buying power to do this.
I had a dream... And we have far exceeded that dream!

Question: what else would you like to see? Just don't say clones... Roscoe and I have an agreement and unlike some folks I don't break my agreements, verbal or otherwise.

I'll toss out an idea: a tube squonker. I remember Busardo reviewing the Promec, and I was thinking "cool idea, but imperfectly implemented". With your design skills, I'd lay good money on you coming up with a robust workable design.

I'd really prefer not to have brass. I don't trust it, whether it's "lead free" naval brass or not.

Thank you so much for going the extra mile to do this run for us, Tom. I was on the fence about trying the Manta. The Catfish edition was the little nudge I needed. If the brass cap becomes a reality, I am in for one.

I only had the clone manta2. Regreted getting rid of them. It was the best atty for the way I vape. Haven't find one approaching it since.

I have a CH Manta V2 clone and it is one of only two 22mm rda I can agree with.
It will be nice to have an authentic with straight post holes
