I still hover are .5 for kanthal builds. From the very brief time last night I took to research before ordering the 30Q, it looked very promising.

At .5 they will be awesome. A little primer puff at worst case to get it singing.

What are you guys running on your Cam - M. I have the Manta on it and it's not doing it for me.

So far just my Dark Horse, it was ready to go and it's been so good I haven't messed with it. Duals stacked, single air flow, at .39, three strand twisted 29g, 2.5mm id. Had a copper sleeved Z1 on it, but it got too hot so I switched to a delrin port chaser.

CF Manta is bangin'.
Flavor and vapor both better than my other fave toppers - not like "whole new class" better, but better - and BOTH.
Tight little workspace - I knew that, and STILL the cap shorted it, and had to pull 'em in a little. Good thing I checked it.
As usual, I got sloppy mounting, but I DID nail my target on the first try: dual 7-wrap, 27 g; 2mm inner; for 0.46 ohms. I was aiming for 0.45, so "bam".

Just to let you know if you have a dead short on the Cam-m it will let you know very quickly. If your button gets to hot to touch; you have a short. Stop pushing said button and begin trouble shooting. Continued attempts could have catastrophic results. The contacts are tough unless you go full ...... with an oven mit the contacts will be fine, nearly half the weight of the mod is the copper and brass buss bars. Want to be impressed? Unscrew the 4 nylon screws in the top. I have never seen another mod overbuilt like this one.

Good choice! I still fire my Dark Horse up on occasion.

In regards to me allowing two people to take my "Pinch" slots:

I have been informed that PDib does not allow this. I can bail with no hard feelings or I can ride it out. I'm currently #419 and #420 on the lists. Currently PDib is in the 230's with an estimate of about a year until my numbers pop up. I regretfully have to recind my previous offer of taking my slots. Sorry Nautilus and Dave. My plan as of now is to remain on the list, who knows in a year maybe I will come around to loving wood.

What is this "sag" you speak of?

Seriously, that's the thing about good dual parallel boxes, isn't it? They just hit so damn well through the entire pull. No regulation required. All of my favorite mods right now are dual parallel. And this one hits as hard as your batteries and coils are capable of.

And it squonks!
