It's a touchy subject. But here is my opinion whether it is right or wrong. I used to buy clones all the time at first because I thought it was crazy to pay $50(that seemed a lot back then) for an atty & get the same thing for$10- clone. But after getting a lot of duds I finally bought my first authentic & haven't looked back. That being said I have quit spending so much & I wouldn't mind trying Nipple, Snappy etc before sinking a lot into authentic Do what is best for you. You gotta eat. I have thought about this before & agree with others.....MAKE AN ATTY!! Which I don't know crap about it & I know it isn't simple. But once u do u can make money off accessories. Hell, I have 4 Narda caps & 3 tips for 1 Narda. Shoot I bet before you even made it you could have 200 spoken for because we know if u do it will be done right.

I'd buy 10 sight unseen (Pre-Order)...even if they cost 200 bucks a piece. As Tom mentioned earlier, his idea cross-breeding a couple favs and bettering them, we all know they would sell like hotcakes. Especially with the domed base he also noted.

Now that sounded like my kind of atty, the way Tom described what he had in mind....:)

Additionally, I would be more than happy to pre-pay for the LBC's, even if it took a year or more to come to fruition.

Agreed; as I have told many modders "clones have their place". Fun fact: I sold 45 derringers prior to the Derringer's clone release and 450 afterwards. I have modded exactly 3 Derringer clones just out of respect to Brett Reed (all 3 were hard luck situations). Some attys are grossly overpriced many are not. I have no plans to turn this into Chowder's Clone Emporium but plain and simple if I can't get the authentic after trying I will offer the clone and if we decide the real thing is worthy we can revisit the concept much like we did with the Marquis and the Manta.

In regards to the LBC and pre-payments:
As you know I despise prepayments; period.

Positions 1-10 on the DOC list will become due when I receive the bodies in their raw form (pre-anno) and my plan is to get them out ASAP, 11-20 will become due the day 1-10 ship and so forth. By the time 11-20 ship I should be up to speed; whatever that turns out to be (could be 5 a week could be 20 a week) all depends on what I'm able to do.

On a scale of 1-10 in regards to draining and filling I would give it a 6/10, for leak resistance 9/10, flavor 9/10
If you ever decide to do some clones, please consider Le Magister and the Snapdragon. Their price tag seems to be on the expensive side...at least for me nowadays.

Here's a quick shot of a spaced coil and wick job. Although this is a ni200 build in the Stumpy, the concept is still the same for Kanthal whether twisted or not. Note the wraps are level as possible in order to promote even contact of the wick to the coil. This thing vapes as smooth as a baby's backside with out the slightest hint of spit back...

What's wrong with 24mm? Anything 25mm or smaller will look fine on the LBC. That's why the 510 is 0.1mm above flush. I'll post pics of the manta2 when I get a minute. Looks awesome.

Nothing wrong with 24mm, just pointing it out. Going to send a 24mm kennedy in soon. Along with a few others:D

May have to try this build. I almost exclusively build the Stumpy with nickel. I usually do a z coil 8/9 wraps

I like it. Tried a centered Z and prefer a centered vert. IMHO the horizontal side draft works much better than the Z in nickel application with the coil side wide open. Not to shabby with two holes open on each side either. Wire is 26g. ( 0.11 ohms, 30w and 450-500 degrees)

Vinyl is here.
I'm torn...
I like the IDEA of a low cost, gen-purpose atty with a deck like this, but...

a) Everythings too tight - easy 2 fix, I'm just sayin - AFC/chuff is tight, cap on deck is tight.
b) Squonk is, of course, awesome-sauce
c) Cap just feels to light, lol. I'd want an SS one too...
d) Good/Bad depending on your use - no "bottom stop" for the cap - kinda like how with a Nuppin V2 there's no bottom and you can lower the cap to the mod, potentially reducing the chamber...
e) Decent hole, wide posts - actually too wide for me and my little builds (I run mech, and hate a slow heat up, so I usually only have like 5 wrap duals). Should be grub screws...
f) Here's the thing - it's too much air for me! I have it nearly closed off! I guess I really do prefer the "indirect" Rogue or Manta draw. I keep those wide open, but that restriction...I like it.

Thanks for the nice clean BF job Tom!
