I do feel strongly about it, but I am willing to go whichever way the majority wants in this case. It isn't a dictatorship here, it is a family. I think people lose sight of that at times, including myself. I will fight tooth and nail to help out and keep you all, and the group as a whole, safe. You all have been allowed to speak your minds and I just spoke mine. That's all I'm going to say on it from this point on. You all want them, you all can have them, but you take the good with the bad in this case.

So that everyone knows, I don't mind when you have a problem, that you ask me for help. I really don't. I only mind in cases like this, when it's not a proven product either quality or safety wise and you have been warned over and over about it. I am always here for each and every one of you with any problems you have, except this one. I don't mind being the go between if you aren't comfortable contacting someone about something. I don't mind sending something that I have to help make things right. I love PIF and all the people in it and that is what you all seem to be missing. It's not about control, it's not about a do as I say thing, it's about trying to keep people safe and things running smoothly.

I"m going to say this and that will be the end of my part in this saga. I was contacted by someone that has been a big fan of the CE2s when I asked for samples to try out so I could make an informed decision on them. I was told it would be better if I didn't use it at all. Now, you guys think on that for a bit. If someone that was singing the praises of a certain product tells you that they would prefer you not use them, that they are not right or safe, what would you think? What would you do or say to the people that you care so much about? Just stop and think a bit and maybe you will see what I see.

Did the person give you a reason for that? Do you want to share? The glue is gone now so that can't be the issue.

The reason I was given is that they were not safe and were not ready for normal use. I can't say anymore than that without violating ECF rules about posting private messages without the consent of all involved. Suffice to say, it definitely threw up a red flag.

Here is another thing to think about. V4L, a well respected and well loved supplier here at ECF, had EXCLUSIVE rights to the 808 version but decided to not use them. Does that not throw up yet another red flag? Come on, I know you are all smarter than this (not saying anyone is dumb) I have been in sales before. In fact, most of my working career has been in sales and I'm damned good at it. You all are being led by the nose by salespeople. There are so many conflicting reports and posts. There is no consistency, unless you count seesawing back and forth consistent.

You all, especially the older members of PIF, know how I feel about each and every one of you, even if we have never traded a single word. Every one of you are important to me and PIF is important. We have a special breed of people here and that may be part of the problem. We are so willing to trust that we forget to ask questions that should be and need to be answered. I had to actually get ugly and pull the mod card to finally get an answer to a question that I had asked. And I still think the answer was full of crap but I let it slide.

All I ask is that you all use your heads and not your trusting hearts in making this decision. The next best thing will always and forever be around the corner.

I can't remember which CE2 thread it's in but a person recently sunk a bunch of money into them and got the bad ones. Now they are stuck with them and can't afford new ones until December. And this was posted not that long ago so the bad ones are still being shipped. I wish I had bookmarked that page but I didn't and I'm not going back thru all the pages to find it but I saw it posted within the last week when I started to watch it a little closer. I may be wrong on the time frame though but it seems to me that I remember it not being that long ago.

Thanks for that. Like I just told Tib, I'm between a rock and a hard place on this one. If I don't allow it, I'm the bad guy. If I do allow it, I hate myself. There is no way I get out of this one without a scar. I just had to decide how deep of one I was willing to take. Like I've already said, you all can do what you want with the CE2s. My horse isn't in this race anymore. The scar will be a deep one.

Jules, maybe a solution to a couple of the problems with these would be for you to make a sticky at the top of the forum similar to the "Ask the experts" in the main forum. Get with a few of the veterans that have been testing / test piloting the new CE2s and ask them to be available to answer questions. Then in any thread about the CE2s put a disclaimer that support is only available in the sticky. Bad and a couple of others have done video how-tos in the original threads that could be copied to the sticky.

In any Co-op or trade thread referencing the CE2 cartos, put a disclaimer that everyone should read the sticky before making any decision about purchasing or trading for them. I know it won't take all the pressure off you, but it should help some. And everyone needs to be reminded "Buyer Beware" anytime you purchase anything online from strangers.

I appreciate what you all are saying and suggesting. As far as I'm concerned you can go ahead as planned and have the co-op and offer them in PIF and the swap thread.

DC, I appreciate what you're trying to say but you have one thing that is very wrong. This is not my group, this is OUR group. That is why I backed down and let you all vote on it. It was wrong of me to make a decision like that. You all are adults and should be treated as such.

I really don't mind the day to day things that go on and that I/we, Toni deals with it too, deal with. It's all a part of it. I love to help where I can. I don't mind being the go between when members clash. I really don't Everyone is just missing the whole point of this and I really don't know how to explain any better than I have so I'm not going to try to anymore.

Just know that no matter what you all decide to do with the CE2s, it's alright. We'll just deal with things as they happen and learn to adjust.

I think the point that Jules is trying to make is that she doesn't want any of us to get sick or be harmed by a new, untested, and possibly inferior product that has not been put through it's paces.

And frankly, neither do I.

There have been known problems with these, and a major supplier V4L who had exclusive rights to this product-- decided to back off from it as well. This makes me more than a little concerned.

I have asthma, and inhaling glue, or some other unknown chemical could trigger a possibly fatal attack. Is it worth it? I don't think so. Imagine the field-day the FDA would have with that one.

I don't want any of us to be the canary in the cave.

Someone stands to make a lot of money off the CE-2's, and that's fine... provided they are tested and proven to be safe. Personally, I don't want to go anywhere near these until a major and respected company is willing to risk their reputation by selling them.

Hi Jules,
That sounds like one of my posts. I have been in contact with the supplier(e-liquide.cn) and was advised that they are shipping the ceramic ones from this week week on.
I have been able to get mine to work properly with advice so no harm done till I can order more.

All the best, Happy Vaping,
Wing.

I think we can just forget about the vote. You all have made your points and like I said, this is not a dictatorship. You all can PIF and trade the CE2's all you want. I will still be here for all other problems or help that is needed. I love being here and I love helping people. I guess I need to learn when to quit though. You all are adults and can make your own decisions. So as far as I'm concerned, this is a done deal.

Edit to add: And I hope there are no hard feelings on this.

The reason I was given is that they were not safe and were not ready for normal use. I can't say anymore than that without violating ECF rules about posting private messages without the consent of all involved. Suffice to say, it definitely threw up a red flag.

Quoted all Jules posts for accuracy, and so nOObs to the thread can see them all in one place.

I will only say this about the subject: Jules' opinion and judgement are one of the few I trust without question, and if she's this adamant about her opinion of the CE2 cartos, combined with the simple fact that V4L released their sole claim to them is enough for me to not want to have anything to do with them.

It's my opinion (and it's ONLY my opinion, so take it with a grain of salt :)) that CE2's should be left out of PIF. There are too many risks involved with them, and we have entirely too many newbies (especially newb to vaping) within the PIF ranks to even consider taking the risk of trading/PIF'ing them within the PIF forum.

I, for one, will be boycotting these things like the plague, as well as any offers with them attached. It's nothing personal to ANYONE (so please don't take it that way, I have nothing but love for you ALL :)) and no one is being called out here. I simply do not want to add to the proliferation of these things.

Boycotting looks like the only way to go since it looks the the company shills/apologists whatever you wanna call them are swayin the vote so heavily. I guess I can see why they would too since they are getting 10,000 of the latest revision BEFORE ANYONE so they can label them and sell them. (that's if they ever actually get proven working one.) It surely aint the people at PIF voting against our group moderator's concern.......least I hope not. boB

Well Bob....I think it is people here at pif that are voting to allow them. I have had several PM's from people telling me that they have not had any problems with the E2 cartos. Only one person Ive talked to has said they have had problems with glue.

I realize that I may be the fall guy for this because I was one of the first to speak up and say something. But I know alot of people feel the same as I do in allowing the E2 cartos in the pif thread. And the voting shows that. I also realize that some people in pif find this a distraction but there should be no distractions....just vote and your voice will be heard. We have all been given a great freedoms in this country to make decision for ourselves and I hold thos freedoms close to my heart every day.

Jules has done a Awesome job at running this group and I fully understand her concerns about the E2 cartos. But I have read most if not all of the E2 threads and I understand the glue issue to be a isolated case.I suggest others read up on them also. If anyone who thinks that they have the cartos with glue. I would hope that they would make the right decision in not offering them to others without the op knowing.

Jules your doing a great job and allowing us to vote on this issue shows it. Keep your chin up...You are one hell of a person and I wouldnt want you to feel bad about all of this in any way.

That's the problem as I see it however. You may have been following the threads, and know the risks involved...but many have not. The E2 threads are huge and difficult to glean useful info from at times. And most people just curious aren't going to read 60 pages to find out any risks involved.

I'm all in favor of allowing people to make their own choices, but in this case that choice might not be as well informed as it could be. And with the various revisions of these cartos that have been shipped so far, someone accepting an offer in a PIF for some might not know what they are getting.

Mondo, I'm totally with you on the freedoms. I just fail to see where that is jeopardized in any way. It is my understanding that this vote is for the PIF thread only, anyone who wanted to would be able to trade them or swap them in the threads provided here at PIF that serve that purpose. The PIF thread is not intended for trading or swapping, it was started to show our gratitude of being ciggy free by helping others get started. That being said someone getting started probably hasn't read through hundreds of pages of information on these to make a decision concerning these.

I agree to disagree with you on the glue, as I've followed every page of that thread and it's almost appeared they've been picking these out of a mixed barrel and they have varied even in the five packs.

I also agree to disagree about the vote being swayed as I wouldn't make that statement without adequate information to back up my previous claim. Unfortunately I am not free to share that;) :toast:
