Hi,
First of all, fantastic review Cekte. You went into a lot of detail about the 510 and it's been a great help to see that I wasn't the only one experiencing the issues with this model. I've had the 510 for a few weeks now and I love it, but it really is a constant battle to keep it working well.
I've been through around 7 atomizers now, and I've had various experiences with each one. I've been lucky with the batteries so far, although I think that might have something to do with me disconnecting them from the atomizer after every vaping session. If I'm at home, I also stand them on end to let any juice run out.
One thing I have noticed with the atomizers is that some have developed a very bad taste over time. At first, I thought it was related to the white fibrous material stuffed under the mesh, but lately, I've been feeling that the taste I'm getting at times, is related to the carts heating up when the atomizer gets really hot. I always make sure the carts aren't dry, but after a few inhales, a funny taste appears, and if I pull the cart off straightaway and just inhale directly from the atomizer, the bad taste isn't there. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm just a bit worried that I might be inhaling plastic fumes. It doesn't happen on every atomizer, but it has developed over time on quite a few of them. There doesn't seem to be any damage on the carts, but they are extremely hot when I touch them.
Sorry, I didnt see there were responses on this thread.
Thanks Matt.
I have similar techniques of use, at the nights end. For that unit at the time, it didnt seem to do much of any difference. I believe that those were still experiencing some teething issues as some say.
That taste you are describing is actually not quite what I experienced. I did a small bit right before my atomizer died, but it never heated the actual carts to such an extreme previously. Just the atomizer would become scalding.
What I did notice, is when my atomizer was in its final stages of disfunction, the cart did heat up to extremes. It melted a bit and tasted foul. If your carts are heating up to those extremes, I would NOT continue using that unit with that atomizer. Personally I believe both the batteries and atomizers were flawed in that production run.
Hope your experiences with it fare better. Let us know how it goes. Cheers.
