Hi,

First of all, fantastic review Cekte. You went into a lot of detail about the 510 and it's been a great help to see that I wasn't the only one experiencing the issues with this model. I've had the 510 for a few weeks now and I love it, but it really is a constant battle to keep it working well.

I've been through around 7 atomizers now, and I've had various experiences with each one. I've been lucky with the batteries so far, although I think that might have something to do with me disconnecting them from the atomizer after every vaping session. If I'm at home, I also stand them on end to let any juice run out.

One thing I have noticed with the atomizers is that some have developed a very bad taste over time. At first, I thought it was related to the white fibrous material stuffed under the mesh, but lately, I've been feeling that the taste I'm getting at times, is related to the carts heating up when the atomizer gets really hot. I always make sure the carts aren't dry, but after a few inhales, a funny taste appears, and if I pull the cart off straightaway and just inhale directly from the atomizer, the bad taste isn't there. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm just a bit worried that I might be inhaling plastic fumes. It doesn't happen on every atomizer, but it has developed over time on quite a few of them. There doesn't seem to be any damage on the carts, but they are extremely hot when I touch them.

Sorry, I didnt see there were responses on this thread.

Thanks Matt.

I have similar techniques of use, at the nights end. For that unit at the time, it didnt seem to do much of any difference. I believe that those were still experiencing some teething issues as some say.

That taste you are describing is actually not quite what I experienced. I did a small bit right before my atomizer died, but it never heated the actual carts to such an extreme previously. Just the atomizer would become scalding.

What I did notice, is when my atomizer was in its final stages of disfunction, the cart did heat up to extremes. It melted a bit and tasted foul. If your carts are heating up to those extremes, I would NOT continue using that unit with that atomizer. Personally I believe both the batteries and atomizers were flawed in that production run.

Hope your experiences with it fare better. Let us know how it goes. Cheers.

I have been using my yeti for nearly a month now and must say it is working just as good as the day I started with it. I bought 2 kits from rob@altsmoke and have had one atomizer replaced to date. The atomizer worked, but had a very hard draw. The carts do leak a little, but I wipe them off periodically. Battery life is better than my 901 as is throat hit. I gave a 901 to my daughter. I am waiting for new atomizers for her 901. The yeti has been a good cig for me. Any one have info on the new model that's coming out? There is no mention of it on the website. There are currently no parts for it on the website either. A little info would be nice, rob. Maybe I got lucky with my yeti, as it seems everyone has had issues. I store my batts down at night to drain any liquid that may be in them but have never seen anything yet. I store my atomizers down to keep the liquid in the cart. I try to rotate them every other day. So far so good. Anyone else having good luck with the yeti?

That sounds great RSmith. I am glad to hear some positive feedback of duration, from this model. I believe you may have possibly received some of the newer improved batches of the 510 perhaps.

How often are you still using your 510? Do your atomizers get extremely hot to the touch?

Info on the new models to come.. ;)

Thank you for tuis review !

You're welcome MonsterT. Thanks for watching. More to come soon. Cheers.

hi guys n gals,

i recieved a titan (joye510) a few weeks ago from TECC for the purpose of a review. like you guys, i had all those problems too! the most i could have given it was 5 - 6 out of 10.

however, last week i recieved one of the "new batch" models with the improvements that should cure those problems.

are those problems fixed? well take a look at the review and find out!

myself and my buddy cekte have been discussing the joye510 over the last week or so and i know he is getting one of the improved versions too. so it will be very interesting to see if we experience the same things on the new and "improved" model!

i will look forward to your follow up review mate!

cheers,

scott

Hey Scott.

I cant believe I missed this many responses in this thread  My apologies ECFers!!

Great review. Thanks for the input.

cekte,

have you got your one yet mate?

Hey Scott,

I was expecting a new automatic switch unit from a different supplier. However it has now been a month, to the day since I last heard from them. I am still awaiting a different still, automatic switch version..

I can say that I got new atomizers with my manual switch;);) units. The new atomizers seem to perform very similar to the old, when attached to the old batteries and used heavily..

First day with Titan, bought from the company that igetcha69 mentioned in his review. The box is just like the igetcha69 showed, so i think it's the new model.

First day impression: Amount of vapor, good battery life, long cartridge life, easy draw.
After some day of use i will post again with my new impressions.

Did anyone know where can i bought a spare charger for the TITAN/JOYE510? And what about a usb charger and even a usb passthrough?

Thx!

Wolff

Welcome to the forums Wolff. :)

Sounds good. Glad you are enjoying. My first several days were great with that unit. It seemed only after repeated daily use, that it showed its flaws. Let us know how it continues to perform.

Im not sure if you are located in or around the UK, but I would assume so, due to your choice of TECC. Knowing what assumptions can sometimes mean, I will just list every supplier I can think of with current stock in the UK and US. :p Hope the below helps.

These sites should carry both USB and mains chargers that are JOYE510 compatible. Note: any 306, 306a, manual/auto 510, JOYE etc are compatible. *In no particular order!*:
