I chain smoked and I chain vape now. Nicotine is an addiction for me, but I honestly believe my hand to mouth addiction is worse. As much as I wanted to use a higher nic and vape every once in awhile. I couldn't do it. I chain vape at 12mg. I use about 5ml a day. Sure beats the cost and damage of 50 cigs a day.

I chain smoked 4 PAD. I vape like it's going out of style. I vape 18mg, 6-7ml's a day. If I start to get a headache, I drop to 0mg and vape it like crazy. Do I ever see myself quitting vaping? No...I'm too addicted to the hand to mouth but eventually I will drop my nic down in the future....once I use up all of my 18mg stuff.

I'm a pretty heavy Vaper now. Started off following the same pattern as my analogue habit, I'd force myself to vape onl outside on a super mini cig lookalike kit at the time. When I started looking at more powerfulkits, fill your own juices and all that I moved to vaping inside (once mrs zom excepted these things were harmless!) after doing that i hardly leave them alone!

Like others here when I get a bit conscious of how much I'm vaping I switch out to a 0nic strong menthol juice. It gives me a hit still as the menthols so strong, even with 0nic.

Over here we have stupid laws to gather smokers into drawn out tiny yellow boxs in public. When I am out with my wife she always grumbles, that I am wasting so much of her time cos She have to wait for me to finish my analog. Now while driving to location with a/c on I can vape all I want n saves us time .
Althought inside the car can be quite foggy and other drivers may think I am a ..... to smoke with windows up.:p

My experience was weird. Since I was always all about the harshest smokes with the nastiest throat hits I could find, I figured I'd need high octane juice, so I started at 36mg. Just a couple of minutes would give me a headache.

I dropped it down to 24 and could vape it all day with no side effects. The thing is, the activity just wasn't as satisfying as smoking. The super long drags just felt wrong (even after many months of being cigarette free).

I've recently started using the mega dual coils and I'm pretty much in heaven - a cigarette like 2-3 second drag instead of the 6-8 seconds needed before to get a good hit. The fact that the carto lasts longer than the 900mAh batteries I use isn't a bad thing either...

Because each draw is far more satisfying, I find I'm treating it more like a cigarette than I did before. In other words, I'll vape for a few minutes then not need to for a while instead of vaping virtually every moment I was awake. My juice use has dropped dramatically even though these cartos are theoretically more juice hungry than the ones I've used in the past. I guess it's all about what's satisfying.

I'll agree with this. I was only a 10 a day smoker, but I do tend to chain vape when I'm driving. I find that if I'm using a low powered device, I'm hitting it constantly, but if I switch to a low res atomiser or carto, I find that I vape more like I used to smoke. It's about finding the sweet spot that satisfies.

I was chain smoking whenever I was at the pc at home, took me a week of scrubbing and painting to get the yellow out of the ceiling, on many occasions I would light up and try to rest my cigarette on the ashtray just to find another one just burning itself up!

I sometimes do the same with my PV, I sit in front of the pc (I spend a lot of time on it because of work) and will chain vape like there's no tomorrow! So eventhough I promised myself I wouldn't get too involved and start diy'ing stuff just yet I gave in and "brewed" myself some 0nic pepper juice, half inspired by a post from emus (cheers man), and some 0nic strong menthol cinnamon from tinctures and infusions I had around the house (I cook when I'm nervous) and now I can just switch to those when at the pc and vape without a second thought. You can get 0nic premade as well..

Saved a bundle on room-fresheners!

I wouldn't consider 3ml's chain vaping though, I was worried a few weeks ago when I go started and asking around I found that 3-5ml's is completely normal, the math on how much of the nic you are getting compared to cigarettes seemed boring so I didn't bother checking that out, it comes down to less the math said! Overall I found myself breathing better within a week, enjoying my morning run a whole lot more and now I can't believe how much harm I was doing to myself during all those smoke-filled years..

Keep with it, it's worth it!

for me the great thing about ecigs is that I can take 1 or 2 drags and set it down and go do something else. with stinky sticks I felt like I had to hold and puff the thing all the way down to the filter.

mtv0987,
I totally feel you on this one. The only reason I would smoke the whole analog is because it was already lit and I was not about to waste it. I have found that I vape more often than I participated in analogs but the time spend with my PV per use is also far shorter. When I get a true nicfit for me I have found that about 5 drags of my PV satisfies my urge.

I with most of the rest of you. I smoked 1.5 to 2 PAD. Not really chain smoking, but once lit I had to smoke it clear down to the filter, sometimes even burning it. I started vaping medium nic and dropped to low and finally 0 nic after a couple of months. I find myself chain vaping quite frequently and generally go thru 4 to 6 ml or more a day. But it's all good. lol. Feel much better chain vaping than on the analogues.

For the math you said you averaged 25 to 30 cigarettes day let's call 27 an average average. 27 x 1.5mg nic (some cig are less some are more would need to know brand to be closer to exact amount) = 40.5 mg of nicotine divide that by 12 equals 3.375 ml of juice so your right on about the same average if smoked straight 12 mg/ml juice. By mixing in the n/n (non nicotine) juice you are reducing your over all intake. For those who want to figure a carts worth of intake we all inhale differently my guess is a cart equals 3 to 7 depending on how long you hit it. But looking at a 3 cig average intake at 1.5 mg/cig x 3 cigs equals 4.5 mg of nicotine. changed into a contents of a 1.1 ml cart you would get x doses. 20 drops equals one ml so one cart would be 12mg x 1.1 equals 13.2 mg of nic in a cart divide that by 2.9 dosages per cart to equal the same you would need to empty 3 carts a day to smoke the same amount of analogs. (40.5mg/nicotine in analog cigs vs (divide) a cart of holding 1.1ml of 12 mg nic juice. If you are now vaping 1 cart of 12mg juice and 2 carts of 0 mg nicotine juice you are now smoking 12 mg aday instead of 40.5 GRATES woowoo:)

math for everyone:)
20 drops = 1 ml
mg of nicotine per ml x cartridge size in ml = mg of nicotine per cartridge
avg number of cigarettes smoked per day x mg of nicotine per cigarette = daily dosage
daily dosage / (divided) mg of nicotine per cartridge = number of cartridge a day
This is in a perfect world but take into account that a e cig has an on off switch and a cigarette keeps burning there real is no exact way figure out how much nicotine you are actually getting with a analog cigarette.

Wow! This is impressive, at least now I have a guide line to look at. I just started dripping mostly using at home. Think it kinda helps me keep track on how much I vape and also it 's a bit troublesome so you wouldn't be chain vaping all day. But the up side is every vape is so much better, on TH or vaper production.

Wow, thanks for the math on that. I actually have the same cig/day average and now that I'm planning on jumping back on the vap wagon it's nice to have some numbers to quote to family and friends who all ask about it. One of these days, someone is going to actually switch to one after talking to me instead of just looking at me funny. I'm sure of it. I hope. Good thing I'm already known as the tech chic who always has the latest toys.
