I tend to chain vape, but before I chain-smoked, too. In my job, I have to devote close attention to what I'm doing in frequent fifteen to twenty minutes bursts. I was using cigarettes to help me maintain attention - smoking one after another as I peered at the computer screen - somewhat mindlessly, as far as the smokes were concerned. Now I'm vaping instead.

I was laughing at myself yesterday. I had the pen-style in my hand when I saw something I needed to change. Without even thinking about it or putting down the PV, I reached for the mouse and did some highlighting. Then I tried to type in some replacement text while holding the PV. That didn't work so well.

It's tough getting old and absent-minded. :)

I've noticed that I also puff constantly on my e-cig while watching TV especially. I used to only smoke about 1/2 pack a day. Since getting my e-cig, I was puffing so much that my batteries were only lasting about an hour - so I was going through 4 batteries a night. I now have a usb passthrough connected to a usb extension and a usb wall plug, so no constant battery changes. It's like using a hookah. :) BUT I sometimes OD (which I could do with analog cigs, too when I smoked too much). My OD symptons are a headache, slight nausea and I have trouble falling asleep. I use menthol medium nicotine level. Still...this is got to be better than the crap I was getting from the analog and I don't wake up with the horrible taste in my mouth or get the tar in my nostrils!

oh yeah, I chain vape when I'm at the computer (love my pass through...TONS of vapor!) and when I watch TV.

I like Low Nic for those times, and spike with high sometimes right before bed so I can have those awesome dreams...hehehe

Being able to vape in places I couldn't smoke has really made a difference...I used to be < 1 pack a day, now I want my 901 in my mouth all the freakin' time.

i'm finding i always have a battery on the charger, 4 batt/2 chargers. The worst time is in the morning with my coffee...I was a pack and half smoker and have completely quit analogs, but I can't seem to put my e-cig down. I'm afraid to get the pass-thru then I will never get up from this computer. I starting to call my 901 a pacifier....oh well lungs feel much better...

I was just thinking of this, I got my e-cig yesterday and it's always in my hand or pocket.. I was gonna make a post asking if this is something yall did and got over it or what? but it looks like a NO lol.. I guess it's better than the pack a day before this came. I have had one 'analog' since getting it yesterday and I couldn't even finish it because it tasted so horrid to me . haha :) makes me happy though because it's making it easier to not smoke them... I do feel like there is something missing, but not enough to make me smoke a cigarette... I love it. I guess I need to order more batteries and chargers or something, I just got the 2 with the starter kit, and one charger .. but it seems okay so far, my battery just died and the next one is ready to go. I'm going to be devastated if one of my batteries craps out before I order extras !
anyways, it's hard to put it down when I can do it in the house, at the computer, driving in the car, oh geez...

Hehe, I was like willsgirlie. I almost flipped when my 1 and only vaporizer died. Actually went and bought a pack of cigs :( Those tasted so bad.

Now, ummm think I over did it. Have 3 Npro's, 2-901's, 4075, Janty MiniFogger and now several 510's on order. LOL Backups for backup backup's. Filled up a power strip with different chargers, 100+ carts, 20+atts, loads of liquid, passthroughs, pcc and on and on.

Perhaps the next iteration of ecigs will have a built-in reset feature? After 15 good puffs it switches off for 5-10 minutes? If it dies and you know it will stay dead for a length of time would you be more likely to put it down and walk away for a while?

just a thought.

Probably should of found an intro thread somewhere. But I could not resist to just chime in a little. But Luci does have some kind of smart chip built into it so you will not overdose. Kind of made me mad at first since I took a long time showing it off and letting others use it. When it came down to use it myself it shut it self off. lol

Tip: Just switch batteries :)

Get two e-cigs and have one nicotine free. puff the not nicotine one untill you need your fix then take a few draws on the nicotine one, then go back to the no nicotine one.

that is a good idea - i will try it - i got my first one a 510 about 4 days ago and i can't put it down - i like it so much

good riddance you stinky tar baby bugler roll my own analog cancer sticks

it is almost like magic how easy it is to stay away from them after 35 years of smoking

I like the guys post about taking the e-cig apart when about a realcig's worth has been smoked, however... taking a few puffs, putting it down seems to also be a nice way of doing it. How do you know when a realcig's worth has been smoked, especially when the nic lung-absorption is less in the e-cig? I find myself puffing on it more than usual mostly because I'm looking to get the same satisfaction from it as a realcig, it never really comes, but it's enough distraction to take it's place. I was never a heavy smoker, smoked camel lights, mostly when I'd have alcohol. The instant head rush with analog cig is not yet replaced with the E-cig. I find a really good throat hit does play with my mind enough to accept it as the real thing sometimes ( which is really good ). Since this is all so new technology, I'm assuming it will only get better ( unless FDA stops it - UGG ). I know China needs e-cig smokers continued money to advance this sh*t to the next level. Throat hit needs to get better while still staying smooth if you know what I mean. I also think a lot of what I miss about analogs is all the other chemicals they add to the cig to make it go to your bloodstream quick, your head quick. Those are harder to give up than the nic it seems. With time, it can be forgotten, but the act of smoking for so many years is more difficult. This is why I hope they can make some E-cigs that will replicate real analog cigs more closely such as throat hit, LED burn down effects to know when the e-cig matched an analog, and maybe a cut-off. We always had the option to smoke another analog cig back to back, it would be the same with e-cig since most of us have extra e-cigs. Same responsibility. I hate to say it... but in the future I suspect they will add extra chemicals to the E-cig to make it hit your blood and brain quicker like real cigs- affecting us the same way, wouldn't be a bad thing if it didn't give us cancer. Anyone think that's possible? Maybe I don't know what I'm talking about, but it seemed to fit with the info I know so far. Chain-vaping seems like it's trying to fill the gap, rather than satisfy( in my opinion) - technology is too new. But I am grateful for what we have so far, it's awesome !!!

What if you only charge the battery a little bit each time?

thats a bit like not buying ciggs to try and quit. while it seems a good idea, you always either bum one, have someone pick some up on their way over, etc. i know i wouldnt be able to constanly half-... charge my batts for long before i broke down. might work for some though
