It's been 72 hours since my last analogue cigarette (actually, 78... but who's counting?). The vaping is doing wonders for me. I've given up for three days about twenty times over the last 10 years or so, but I've always caved in and started smoking again. This time feels different in so many ways. I'm really confident I'm not going to smoke a cigarette again. Normally I'm climbing the walls by this stage. I'm feeling pretty relaxed about the whole thing, though I do feel slightly vague... but I think that may be due to all that extra oxygen my brain is getting at the moment. I'm sure the sensation will pass.
The only issue I'm having is that I am constantly sucking on my e-cig. I mean, pretty much non-stop. I've been drinking a lot of water, but I'm still feeling slightly dehydrated. I'm considering getting hold of an intravenous drip to manage my hydration levels.
A bit of background info on me: I've been smoking for 21 years. Pretty heavy smoker, 40-50 smokes a day. I gave up for six weeks just over two years ago courtesy of Champix (a.k.a. Chantix, as it's called in other parts of the world). Stopped me from smoking, but had a problematic side effect: it made me very short-tempered. I would fly off the handle at any slight problem/inconvenience. I even did a Russell Crowe and threw a telephone at my girlfriend (thank God she ducked!). I'm not normally like that at all; I have a very long fuse ordinarily. The reason I only lasted six weeks was that I had way too much to drink one night and that was the end of it. Straight back onto the cigarettes. I stopped taking the Champix and returned to my more mild-mannered self pretty quickly. I decided not to try the Champix again as I was genuinely concerned about seriously hurting somebody if they looked at me the wrong way.
I've gone off on a bit of a tangent, but I'm really curious to hear (or read) what others have experienced when they first stopped the analogues and switched to full-time vaping. Is it normal to vape so much? I'm on 12 mg juice, by the way. I've considered getting something a bit stronger (have only tried 12 mg to this point). Would a stronger nicotine level help?
Cheers.

I'll probably try some 18mg and 24mg and see which I like best and if they make any difference to my vaping levels. When I was smoking, I would often smoke two cigarettes in succession, so I'm thinking I may just have a natural inclination to chain, regardless of the method.
