I have a provari and chain vape all day on a 4.5 volts with a 1.5 ohm dual coil carto.

I've noticed lately that I get short of breath really easily and I feel kind of like my lungs are a little stopped up, like I did when I use to smoke. Not as bad, but close!

I'm wondering if it is the juice? Or is it because I vape too much? I was under the impression that vaping was 99% safer than smoking cigs but It feels more like 40%. Maybe I'm just out of shape and this is all in my head.

I was just hoping to hear some experience and wisdom on this matter because it's starting to bother me.

Thanks!

Hello :) I do 5.0 Volts at 3.0 ohms all day on my Provari, and back in Dec. the docs x-rayed my lungs. I was having some serious gut issues and not sure why they checked my lungs, but everything was good. Same with oxygen levels everything was good. I do 100% VG and I diy. The VG I use is non GMO and organic, because I am a freak ;) If you're having problems maybe try another type of e liquid. Or cut back.

There are lots of variables. I went through this, in my early vaping life, and I adjusted to it, but I also changed things around. When I first started vaping I was on eliquid with a PG/VG ratio of 70/30 and that made me very wheezy. I changed to 0/100 and that made my lungs feel heavy. I changed to 50/50 and that was about right.

Maybe you could try different PG/VG ratios and see what works for you. You /could/ chain vape less hard and see if that's ok too. If you're really worried, have a medical check up?

I feel fairly fit now, and can even run. Pretty good for an ex-smoker :)

This ^^^

That extra VG weighs on the lungs for a bit.

After my 3rd month into vaping I decided I didn't want to chain vape as much. Too many issues, mostly having to do with burning out tastebuds and habitually dehydrating myself. Like Bramble said, I upped my nic and vape far less. Not to mention it's more satisfying when I do.

100% VG Organic, because I'm allergic to PG. Organic because, like Rose, I'm a freak :p

I also work 60+ hours a week in a highly rigorous job. I get out of breath on RARE OCCASION, as opposed to when I was smoking... pretty much every night.

Most definitely agree with everyone else, try different vendors, try changing your ratios. I also re-build, for the obvious reasons, but also so that I can use organic cotton which I boil 2-3x. Not sure if chain vaping cartos has any long term effects, but isn't the substrate made out of plastic? Just saying...

Found this thread: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...us-510-kr808-4081-etc-filler-type-cartos.html

I think cartos are fine if you've got good wicking action. As long as your coil receives adequate "wettage" there's little or no chance of burning. Probably why most carto lovers use carto tanks. Right, anyway. Don't take my word for it, I tried reading that thread but its too huge to give any sort of answer. I've used cartos, own cartos, but I'm massively stupid when it comes to them.
Would likely need to post and get a response from one of the regulars.

Just want to make sure you're using your gear correctly :D

I started injecting my carto with a syringe to prime it. It works like a charm and never have any problems. I would like to rebuild but ain't nobody got time for dat.

I can wrap a 1.2Ω Nano Coil in like 1-2 minutes, and I do them by hand. o_O Alright, admittedly it takes at least 10 minutes to oxidize, check ohms, install. More for tricky builds. But a straight up single coil micro or nano is really quite easy to accomplish.

If I got time, you got time. HAH. Seriously not even kidding. I get like 1-2 hours of "me time" on most days. First thing I do when I get home:

1.) Pull wick out
2.) Dry burn coil
3.) Put new wick in
4.) Juice.

Takes a few minutes and keeps me going another 24 hours.
