In light of all the negative propaganda against e-cigs, can we change the name of this forum to something else? Most people on here don't use e-cigs anyway, we use mods and tanks. It's a completely different industry than e-cigs.

Divide and conquer people.

Divide the industry into e-cigs and PV's. Let the government do as they wish with e-cigs while we continue to fight them on that front to keep the pressure up, meanwhile we move to PV's, mods, tanks where they aren't looking. In the end, it'll create lots of confusion, good for us.

It's all confusion to those who don't vape. I'm looking at health insurance renewals now and for the first time I'm comfortable claiming non tobacco use. The health industry is sitting on the fence, wondering whether to say that ecigs are not a negative health risk or just calling them tobacco products. If you look at the questions they are now asking, it's usually "Have you used tobacco in the last six months?". Most insurance companies will classify you as a non-tobacco user even if you have quit by using NRT products like Nicorette and still use it daily. They will even pay for it as a drug prescribed by your doctor.

I'm seeing press that indicates that more and more health insurance companies aren't jumping on vaping as a negative activity. People are asking directly about electronic cigarettes and getting answers that allow nicotine, but not tobacco products that are burned in a tube, chewed, or burned in a pipe.

What if insurance companies asked questions like, "Do you consume high fat foods or those that contain added sugar or high fructose corn syrup?". "Do you consume more than 2 alcoholic drinks per week?". "Do you drive faster than the speed limit at any time?" If you answer yes, then you pay a 50% surcharge.

It's getting ridiculous.

If we further complicate the matter by classifying pen style vs tanks vs cloud attys, then where do we find ourselves? It's all based on atomization of a nicotine based liquid and producing vapor and pretty much equal to using a medical nicotine product. I don't want government or the medical insurance industry telling me I can use Vuse, but not my Kayfun.
