ive been on this forum 6 months roughly, and exclusively esmoking just over that...

i dont post as much as i used to...but ive just been thinking lately about how much the forum and esmoking in general has changed in that time...it seems like so much longer for some reason...i suppose it is a long time in the ecig world...

when i joined, the USA didnt have any cheap, quality generic ecigs which had cheap spares, and were affordable enough to adopt a disposable approach...

njoy were the only really big players in America, and they ruled the roost there...

we had a few good debates at that time about generics v brands...usually Trog and myself arguing the case for the 901 and other generics, and Kit joining in soon after...sometimes heated, but fun...

the only readily available affordable eliquid was from e-cig.com in China...and they were still shipping the stuff...

Janty were pre kissbox-not that well known in the UK or USA,mostly mainland Europe...

complete disposables didnt exist...

the only colour LED for any ecig was orange(except for sedansa green)...

pillbox was the only good supplier in the UK...

VG wasnt used yet...or bickfords...or any other flavourings

there was a secret society feel to it...enjoy it and keep under the radar was the order of the day...

there were no videos reviews on forum...in fact,it was a different style forum...and there were far fewer members...

and look at things now...

its becoming more and more mainstream...public,media and gov are finally becoming aware...

lots of people want to jump on the bandwagon and be suppliers....human nature i suppose...but some make dangerous claims at a sensitive time...(i dont mean you rusty, lots of new sellers make unwise claims, and continue to do so)...

Some stand out new suppliers have emerged...namely Smokester and Puresmoker, and a few others...

the USA is getting more and more into the semi-disposable attitude...at least now they have the choice...they didnt until recently...

lots of the old posters here are gone,or visit rarely...which is a shame(i particularly miss nerdycinderella)...and the doc posted everyday...

liquid choice is far greater, and is now locally available, from multiple sources...with disclosure of content and lab tests in some cases...the USA even have their own liquid maker-if they can sort out their problems, that is...

people are now mixing their own "home brew",with flavouring and VG etc...

in fact, the only thing which hardly seems to have changed in this time are the range of ecig choice and their design!

apart from the kissbox manual switch and the ruyan vegas disposable-and clones, the ecigs have changed hardly at all...apart from some cosmetic changes, and an extra hole or two in atomisers...
the LT idea is good, but the LT itself is flawed and too expensive...

i suppose its really still early days for the ecig...i wonder what the next 6 months will bring us?

:) I only hope the new generation e cig is hardware trouble and maintance free AT LEAST 6mths or 1 yrs .

when u got ur first e cig the feeling is good.be it geneic or branded ones

first week is I should said the most memeorable weeks

the draw , the vapour is good.

but as time go by , it seem different .batteries wise maybe wore out need to be change , atomiser , the most troublesome part .You may tend to clean it , Yeeep is good as new vapour is good draw is good .BuT again after weeks or even days , back to square one , u either will clean it again or buy a new atomiser.

yup electronics stuffs bound to break down .but is not frequent as e cig .
this tiny stuffs is power hungry actually if a person tend to use whole day non stop.

as "some bros" mention if I remb e cig is not design to use on heavy usage.but most of us I believe are hardcore smokers , one day can smoke one pack or more...

thus surely e puff alot .even with high nicotine mg liquids it do helps to stop u contionuse e puff .as "some" claim after few puffs u surely stop puffing as u can get"the feel " fix fast.

summary I hope e cig at least the hardware side can be more durable and last longer.

and we can concentrate more on the e liquids  no much worry on cleaning atomisers , battery faults , buying spares ect hassle.

:D or shall we ask the japanese re design e cig?as they are good on modify and make durable electronics stuffs.

aaahhh yes darcy the good old days !

back then when the forum was new it had a totally different look and feel to it.
it did feel like you were a member of a secret society,up to know good hehe..
it was exciting, there were only a few members, is was more like a little family than a forum.
exciting times are ahead my friend, and im glad i will be sharing them with you just like at the beginning..;)

yeah, well, down memory lane aside....im just wondering whats coming next...

i actually cant wait for the day when a forum like this isnt even needed...it really only exists in this form because this activity is still quite underground-and lets face it-its still a mess right now...

hopefully the elusive good, cheap disposable is coming sometime in future...its the only practical solution...at this stage thats what i want more than anything...no more constant messing about...

the thing is,the hardware on offer right now isnt good enough yet for true mass appeal, and the lack of device and peripheral regulation is disturbing...what the government will do is still an unknown...

but esmoking is gathering momentum...its becoming bigger business now...and thats what ultimately fuels change...

Wouldn't it be great if you could go down to your local store and purchase a packet of e-cigarettes - y'know, just like you would a packet of analogues - 20 in a pack - disposable, single use. You get the same number of puffs as an analogue, and then you chuck it out? Imagine that! Same price, no chemicals (or nasty ones anyway) - a new atomizer, cartridge and battery with each one.

I know that's BAD, BAD, BAD for the environment, but at least we would make up for it with the lack of carbon monoxide emissions etc :)

But for now, I'm happy with my KB Classic . . .
