All you guys need to slip over to the modders section, go to Radio Shack, spend about 10 bucks and slap a Nicostick together.
No it ain't that difficult... really.
3 amp switch, good solid box, 14500 battery,
etc. Maybe not as *pretty* but..
You'll never buy another factory device.
Just my .02.
have one, 801 typ, plus adapter for cartomizers, still i love the JS.
miau
the adapter is better be seen on the ladypipe:
PS: i did not make the adapter myself, its the work of corun, modding member of a german e-cig board and he is very talented.
[edit] before i forhet, the cap on the pipe is also not my own work *g*. its from ansisys, another nice e-cig guy from germany.
Whoa, this is standard for many many applications. As long as the adhesion isn't broken by moisture, solvents, abusive use, or curious fingers, it will stayed adhered forever. Check out your cell phones, computer components, the trim on your vehicle, etc. etc.
I haven't read the entire thread yet so this might have been addressed already.
It is my understanding that both PG and VG have solvent properties. And, that is what the unit is used for... specifically to use these solvents in them and from my experience the juice does get on the units too. Sounds definitely like a design flaw.
Sadly, this is kind of what I expected. great product idea (borrowed from users, but hey, they're relatively simple devices, to be expected), but, was waiting to see on longer term durability. Looks like I'll be waiting for v2, preferably in metal.
Hi guys just received some feedback from janty and the replacement is on its way , i did not doubt that janty customer service have always been great , lets see if the replacement holds, cheers.
A PV could be carved from a solid block of steel with welds instead of solders and SOMEONE would find a way to abuse it into submission.
The Janty Stick certainly could have been constructed better but it is far from a bad device. I have one from the first round of shipping and it has been dropped on the concrete a few times, It has some chips and some paint is wearing off. The end cap has a little wobble to it and the atomizer chamber is not sealed but it is vaping quite well and I get a good hit from it.
On a scale of one to ten I would have to rate the JS around 7. It is certainly above average but still has room for improvement.
I am thinking the same could be said for pretty much any PV.
