So just over one week into vaping, down to 5-7 cigs a day from 2 packs a day. Things noticed.. i now TASTE the chemicals in analogs, as i never did before. eww.. yet another reason to quit them all together. But i find, sometimes.. my vaping doesnt give me that instantaneous 'hit' i need if i am stressed etc. I am using 18 mg right now. should i get some 24 mg juice to correct this? did i start too low on nic mgs as a heavy smoker?

forget words like quit. too much pressure. think of it like switching brands. it is different from smoking technique (wow i can't believe i spelled that right first time.). be patient. read these threads like your life depended on it.ironic since your life does depend on it. just like smoking, you have to learn how to vape. don't get discouraged. if you fall. dust yourself off, and start over. the rewards are so worth it. start high on your dosage to see what it takes to stop completely. work down from there. have to say though you are so close now. it seems to me the only thing stopping you from stopping is you. no magic bullet. you have to commit, and suffer the consequences. it's not all happy and joy. real success comes from some pain. i say just put them down now with what u have rt now. see how you feel in 2 days. if not good?, then light up.

I started out on 18 mg after smoking about 2 packs a day for 30 yrs. Picked up vaping and haven't smoked since. There's been a few rough times I really wanted to smoke but just fought through it. Quitting means different things to different people. I'm determined to never smoke again. Others smoke a few a day and vape the rest of the time. If you really want to quit you'll get past the cravings with time.

I guess probably part of the reason why i have not put analogs down entirely is that when i picked up that Blu about a week ago, i didnt even want to quit.. this all just came out of the blue (lol i made a punny) I mean.. i knew smoking that much was bad but just didnt think ecigs would work on cutting down let alone quitting.. because i am under alot of stress. even my mom says this is all a miracle after a week :) so i wont be too hard on myself, i am smoking 30 cigs a day less than i was without expecting it, but was just wondering if the added nic level would make me completely stop? cause honestly, analogs taste like hell now anyways.. ;)

I was a pack a day guy for 15 years who started into this thinking I could maybe smoke a few less cigarettes with this e-cig thing. 2 days into it I threw away half a pack. I started on 18mg, tried one bottle of 24mg which was not for me. I'm still on 18mg but have bought some 12mg and been doing fine if I fill up with those. I love the act of vaping, the flavor and having something to keep me busy in this Los Angeles traffic!

I say get a good device that can handle fast paced vaping of 18mg. It should do the trick.

I think so! But hey, I have a 24mg bottle of Bounty Hunter (TONS of throat hit) if you want it. That stuff was deadly to me. But it's also in the way you vape. I like to pull as much as my device can handle without it getting too hot, burning the juice, or not feeding enough juice in. My body tells me when I'm reaching that nicotine overload threshold.

Yeah, my logic seems off. BUT I'm an ex drunk who just passed one year and no booze. So to me, anything is possible! Only thing to do is test different levels out. Our bodies are all different. There's no math class or equation that'll say you smoked x so you need y.

One thing that's for sure is there's no shortage of options when it comes to vaping. Find what works for you. This site has been an incredibly helpful tool for me and hope it is for you too.

thanks for the offer snickers... :) but.. dont u think someone who smoked 2 packs a day would need more nicotine than someone that smoked one pack a day? and if not, why not? my consumption was double of yours... why do you think its the same?
that would come down to metabolism. nobody ingests stimulants and react the same way. as is proven why some lifetime smokers are 1 PAD smokers, and lunatics like me. 3 PAD. everybody is different. some people can hold their liquor, and some can't. currently at 24 mg. started 1 week 36 mg. it did the job, but was gross. convinced me to start looking at flavors. 16 mg coming in the mail. reducing my dosage as soon as it gets here. lowering it soon after that to reach 0 nicotine. (thank you Obamacare.)might as well get all the withdrawals over with in 1 fell swoop. come too far to turn back now.

I only use 24mg and have still have/had fits ... I stopped completely though on day one of vaping ...if I get that crazy and I feel I need a cig, I sit and vape like crazy it goes away in about a half hour ... vaping nicotine isn't instant like smoking, it takes longer

18mg would have never done it for me, lots use 30+mg for those spikes when they cant take it

2 PAD marl red for a long long time

I gave myself a life I never thought was possible. Feels absolutely fantastic.

@stefania What shop do you go to? I've visited a bunch in the LA area and have my favorites. I don't support any regularly but always at least try to buy something while I'm in them. It's gotta be tough to keep those going but a store in Westwood got me going on this whole journey and I owe them a lot of thanks.
