Yvw my lady. Do what u feel right with, no matter what that is.

Congrats Vapoor yes er, on getting down to 2 mg. a nobel goal.

For me I don't ever intend to quit Vapeing. But who knows sometimes stuff happens.

Thank you very much Taylon...the pros of vaping is we all have our own personal program. The cons of vaping is we all have our own personal program
It's all good and as long as people cut down on their analogs that's all that matters to me

As an ex smoker the last thing I could ever do, in good conscience, is judge anyone.

18 mg is fine most times but.. sometimes.. is not.

Many vapers started at 36mg strength eliquid. Some have always vaped this level. I vaped 36 for a short while, then went to 24 for over a year, then to 18 for about half a year and now vape 16. Having a power regulated, variable wattage PV did help with the step down.

I would definitely kick it up to 24 for a while and then go from there.

Good luck

To the OP:

Health Cabin's USA Mix at 24mg is what you might want. That stuff....boy...oooo-eeeee!!! about 12-13 puffs of that stuff will make your head spin and your throat hurt. As an ex-Marlboro Red (10-15 a day for the last 15 years) it is stronger than Reds, taste wise almost about 90 percent the same. I would get a 10ml and an extra top (tank, clearo, cart...etc). Whenever you want that hit, screw it on and close your eyes 'cause you'll be riding the pain train to heaven. I've vaped here and there for the last three years, but when I got my APV and this stuff two weeks ago, I can't even stomach the stink of analogs, much less be inclined to smoke one.

When I tried it at the B&M, I thought I could use it as an all day Vape, but I can't do half a day of vaping with that stuff. It makes me feel like I'm taking a hit of Nuke from Robocop. What I ended up doing was diluting it with other tobacco flavors I have. The Liqua American Blend 24mg with some USA Mix is my current all day tobacco flavored vape. And Health Cabin also makes it in 36 mg

So just over one week into vaping, down to 5-7 cigs a day from 2 packs a day. Things noticed.. i now TASTE the chemicals in analogs, as i never did before. eww.. yet another reason to quit them all together. But i find, sometimes.. my vaping doesnt give me that instantaneous 'hit' i need if i am stressed etc. I am using 18 mg right now. should i get some 24 mg juice to correct this? did i start too low on nic mgs as a heavy smoker?

I smoked for 20 years, I started 18 mg of nicotine at the beginning it was hard, now after 3 months to 4 mg of nicotine and do not want to smoke, just be patient
imho of course

In addition to my previous post, I once thought that vaping just wouldn't be enough with coffee in the mornings. Once you ditch the tobacco, you might find that a vape and a cup of coffee works just fine.

I agree that there's no urgency in giving up the last of the cigs. Once you get down to 6 or 8 a day your body begins to adjust to less of what hooks you on tobacco and your health begins to improve from less tobacco influence. Keep telling yourself that you don't like them and want them gone, but don't pressure yourself. Just casually repeat, "I need to quit these things".

One day you will believe that enough to actually do it happily. Your body will thank you and your sense of smell will improve over the next few months. One day, you will wake up and smell things you haven't smelled in years. It's interesting to open the door and be able to smell flowers, dirt, and trees. Some odors you will wish that you didn't sense so well, though. :)

Soundlesshero.....defenitely try the Copper Creek House Blend if tobacco is something you like in your vape.....it's that good. ADV...I just got Bobas Bounty in the mail and it's good....but no match for the CCHB.

If you are tapering off I really highly recommend tinkering with your habits so that you get a chance to deal with behavioural issues before you even give up all the cigarettes ... as I was always doing something else while smoking making myself just stop and have a smoke works best, but even minor disruptions are helpful (ie can have coffee/tea and can have cigarette but can't have both together; can have cigarette but have to wait a certain time after a meal etc).

If you are tapering off anyways it is in my opinion much less stressful to deal with breaking behaviour habits when you know that cigarette is still available right around the corner. I found it almost disorienting at times breaking an activity-cigarette connection!

Of course if you can stop right away more power to you, and some people do so very successfully. I just figured if tapering off anyways might as well make something else easier on myself.

Please don't be discouraged! I had to make some adjustments the first month despite all my research! One thing I did do is go with a company that had great customer service reviews. And I wanted a company that had many choices of batteries in case I was unhappy (which I was) and just exchange and upgrade! The feel of an analog cigarette upon inhale "throat hit" is the most important thing for me with E Cigs! With the right set up for you, that feel of an analog cigarette can be reached I promise! Then you can kiss the smelly sticks good bye for good! Upping the nicotine strength to 24 mg or 2.4% (same thing) will definitely give you a better throat hit! I was a pack a day smoker since I was 14 (now I'm 33) and I started at 18mg just like you an I had bad nicotine cravings! So I switched to 24mg strength an immediately felt the difference! Also some flavors of the same strength can feel stronger than others so definitely try various flavors as you might be pleasantly surprised! I was weary of some of the fruity flavors because I was so used to tobacco flavor BUT turns out watermelon an grape are right up there with plain tobacco flavors! And if 24mg still isn't quite cutting it then you may want to go with a slightly larger battery as they do give not only longer battery life but I switched to a 650 mah (about cigar size) an wow the feel of vapor felt just like an analog cigarette! And I found that clearomizers instead of cartomizers work better for me! So you definitely have lots of choices an plenty of room to grow! Just take your time an change 1 thing at a time so you don't have to guess where the problem might be! Think of vaping as a hobby! There really is so much to explore you will never get bored! So give those 24mg's a shot! And if you feel dizzy, nausea, headache then you'll know it's too strong or you might need to cut back. But from your history of analogs I think you'll do great! Hang in there! You coming here means you've got that willpower and drive to be a successful full time vapor. Even cutting back on analogs is amazing and you should pat yourself on the back! So vape on!

I had one cig today after lunch.. then went to the vape shop to get some ry4 24 mg. seems to be doing the trick- have had none since :) but one thing i think helps (and this is just me, of course) is not having cigs around. last night when i finished the last few in the pack i did have i did not buy a new pack for the morning, and got the one i smoked today from a co worker. one thing that is kind of a bummer is before all this i ordered a bunch of flavors in 18 mg.. should have ordered a few in 24 mg.. but oh well, i guess i will alternate for now and if i really like one buy some more in 24 mg.

Yea well today is exactly one month since I've quit analogs. I was in the hospital for 10 days with pneumonia and my dad was bringing me in blue disposables to help my crave while I was in there. So when I got out of the hospital I decided to quit after 17 years of smoking and continue smoking the disposable blu cigs but they are just to expensive So purchased a joyetech Ecab starter kit 3 days ago. I can't wait till I get it in the mail I'm so excited to start vaping. I also want to say In the past month since I've quit I have more energy and feel better than I've felt in years and years I feel GREAT wow such a awesome feeling. I will never smoke ever again I can't wait till my kit gets here.

jfalbanese - obamacare supports vaping?!
don't know if it supports vaping. if we don't get our nic levels down to undetectable, we will be supporting Obamacare. it's the lynch pin in this whole thing. as long as we have detectable levels of nicotine, the insurance companies will use that to put the price of coverage out of reach of smokers. if we do get coverage we will pay exorbitant fees. smoking/ non smoking status is key to this whole thing. why do you think big pharma, FDA, big tobacco, Government, and conservatives have a problem with vaping? if we all quit, then we can't be treated as second class citizens, people can't be smug and superior around us. huge profits from failed cessation products are already bleeding away. we are literally going to have to join class action lawsuits to have vapers declared non smokers among the insurance pools.

Don't wait until you are craving to vape, it takes longer to hit you. Try finding a time based way to do it like 5 min per hour, etc. This will eliminate those panic moments and if you do feel one coming you can just take an extra puff or two. I found that this worked much better for me than just getting bigger nicotine levels in my juice.

I adjust my nicotine levels now based on how much I plan on vaping that day. While at home I use 6mg-12mg since I vape a lot, and switch to 18mg when I'm short on time like a break at work.

Odds are good that you'll want that 18mg at some point in the future so don't throw it away. I started at 36mg and stayed there for about a year before stepping down to 24mg. I think I stayed there for almost another two years before stepping down to 12-18mg, which is where I am now. I'm hoping to be down to 8-12mg at this time next year but if not, it's ok. I'm still not smoking.
