I thought we were doing the same here with vaccines.

Not necessarily forcing, but yes forcing (schools require it, some jobs, even certain kind of paper work, etc.)

And don't start with the story about how vaccines are good for anyone because we all know already how they have made people permanently sick or in some extreme cases dead.

So what is so surprising or new about China doing this?
Vaccines take a whole lot of resources payed with our taxes.

It doesn't need a country name, it applies to all, we just see in horror what others do, but never stop and look in the mirror.

This happened a few months ago. The government official who issued the statement was forced to retract it by higher officials in the Chinese Communist Party. But, there is very little stigma around smoking in rural China. As I was traveling around, smoking among men was the norm. In a country WITHOUT socialized medicine, (Yes, US fear mongers, China does not have socialized medicine. No money, no services. Just like you.) the impact on the health of the Chinese is frightening.

I just found this:

Law forcing Chinese to smoke indicates deeper problem

There are other miscellaneous articles about it too

Wow. Thank you. That was an informative viewpoint. I had no idea.

I knew that China had some issues... but I did not know that it went down to counties and included things like tv's, cars etc.

I must say, even with our countries issues, it does make me thankful for these UNITED states and how far we have come.

I'm not Chinese but have spent quite a lot of time there.

And I can tell you that smoking is very much on the decline and that policy is to reduce smoking.

The 'news' channels are flooded with disinformation. Just yesterday in the UK ran a story in all the newspapers and main news about some new town in the UK with a surprisingly high birth rate (nothing new for a new town. What's was interesting was the title: ... even higher than India and China. However, if you read the full details it becomes clear that China's birth rate is 14 and the UK's is 12 while the world average is 16.something.

But then these are the news agencies that convince that the UK and US is in Afganistan for x,y,z; nothing about controlling the drugs grown there, honest!

Whether or not you believe that vaccines help, we can all agree that is their designed purpose. Cigarettes sole purpose is to harm, well that and make a lot of money for certain people.

I wouldn't be so sure about that. Some say vaccines are associated with long term health problems.

From personal experience, I could count the number of times I'd been sick on one hand prior to joining the US Navy in 1993. When we got our round of vaccines in boot camp, I became very ill (I toughed it out and made it through, but I was the walking dead for the 8.5 weeks I was there; had nausea and fever practically every day).

Ever since, I have had some pretty serious health problems: headaches (migraines and others), severe sinus problems, intermittent weight gain/loss, problems sleeping (or staying awake, depending), memory loss, etc.

Again, I had had nothing more than a cold in my whole life prior to 1993 (and very few of those), and after that first week of boot camp, it has been kinda rotten. I don't have any scientific evidence that proves the vaccines they gave me were the cause, but it doesn't take a genius to look at the timing and put two and two together...

Thank you for your service, misterME. You all deserved so much better than what you got.
I have a friend who served in Desert Storm as a NBC specialist. After he was given his round of 'special' vaccinations he was instructed to NEVER give blood again. A co-worker of mine, another Desert Storm vet has had a persistent skin rash for nearly 18 years now. He was told it's all in his head and denied treatment. This isn't some conspiracist fanatasy, I personally know these guys.

I agree, it is a joke to trust our corporate media. It just came to my mind what Britain did to China before, a tiny example, the opium wars.
Check it out in Wikipedia.

The stated logic seems innocuous - expose the immune system to the signature of a pathogen and it will build up anti-bodies to be prepared.

This oversimplifies the way the immune system works. And the act of vaccination bypasses most of the normal defensives to put foreign dna, mercury and other other gunk right into the bloodstream.

I don't think there is any good evidence that vaccines work. The infectious diseases that plagued people in centuries past were largely all in major decline before vaccines were introduced; the result of improved hygiene and clean drinking water.

is it just a coincidence that China's massive population's average age is increasing? better to bilk them with cig taxes then let them die of cancer than take care of them when they're old

corporate media is far more trustworthy than a government run media. "corporate" is not a dirty word.

yes but our corporate news is terrible, watch Network
