Sorry to here you are feeling poorly Lizzie. When that happens to me I snuggle into bed with my pal "Jim Beam" hot toddy and sleeeeeep.

Glad to hear Debra is back up and functional and that it was actually not her computer but the WiFi service.

I am ready for lunch, quick nap, shower and off to cook again for our homeless shelter. They will be in early today because of the snow and fridgid temperatures. It is a shame that our facility cannot house them 24/7 in this weather, but every morning at 8:00 AM they have to go out into the cold. We open again normally at 5:00 PM, but on days like this a few of us get to the church at 3:00 PM and try to open so they can get out of the weather and cold.

Stay warm, those of you in the USofA, and Debra, stay cool.

the net dude just told me it was a maintenance clean up on a port....I said hey mate...your no mate...a good mate would of given everyone a heads up....Im here thinking...my comps stuffed..hours before its fixed....one of your staff...stress me doing a wizard check....to fix something that cant be fixed...cause your doing cleaning on a port....he was like what da... I said even when the power company do maintenance....they at least let ya know your power going to be off for awhile...get your act together... phone goes quiet...I said....no worrys mate.....just jokes....

Enough cold images. Here's an Osage orange (from a churchyard in Philadelphia, PA). Apparently, squirrels love them, because I saw a number of them nibbling away on ones that had fallen from the tree. I often heard that they are good insect repellants, and apparently, according to Wikipedia, it's true -- a study was done that found it as effective as DEET.

I'm making progress. It's easy to tell by how far I can reach compared to just a couple of weeks ago. That's why I was so devastated by the doctor's pronouncement. I thought I was doing so well, and instead, he said I'd need another operation. That really took the wind out of my sails! Over the last couple of weeks, I've started to feel better about it. I still thought I might need another operation, but I was getting used to the idea. I also realized that I've come a long way as far as flexibility and use of my arm, but I still have a long way to go. Sometimes I just get impatient and say, "All right already! I just want to be back to normal!" Then I realize that many people will never be back to normal, and even having that possibility is a blessing. I guess my mood about it all veers from being impatient that I'm not all healed by now with a determination to just keep working on those exercises and notice the progress I do make. I haven't thought lately about further surgery, and when I do, it's in a sort of unemotional way, not like when I first heard the news. I am dealing with it the best I can, I think. Mostly, I'm in a plucky mode, focused on stretching just a little bit farther when I do my exercises or reach for something on a shelf. I'm the kind of person who rises to a challenge, if the challenge isn't hopeless. And the physical therapy is giving me a lot more body awareness. It's interesting, and it's incredibly similar to the kind of body awareness that riding lessons gave me. I had a riding instructor who used the Centered Riding technique, and that's based on a lot of body work and tai chi, and stuff like that. Very New Age. When I do the exercises, it's important I hold my body in a particular way, just like riding. I'm amazed at the similarities, and I'm thinking the PT exercises may actually help my horsemanship. So that's where my head's at these days.

oh another op...is there any chance the excercises...will prevent having that op? I understand your moods...its hard...when your use to doing things...then you have to train yourself...and a new mind set...my hands were my life..i took for granted....I get so angry...I cant do the things I use to...but im trying to slow down breathe...

Have you tried physical therapy? I'm a believer now. Maybe it could help you get more use of your hands. One thing they had me do in the beginning is to squeeze a ball in my hand. You can get an old tennis ball and give it a try.

I had a bug....I think it was in the early seventies, but it was old when I got it. Mine was green. It was fun to drive. Except in deep snow or up one of our long hills. Going up one really long hill, I was down to second and was worried I'd have to stop and finish the hill in low gear....just barely made it. lol

When I lived in Italy, I had a Fiat 500. It really doesn't resemble the ones exported to the US. I swear my lawn mower had more power than the car! We used to cram 3 or 4 of us and head in to Naples. I'd have to put her in the granny gear to get up a small incline. Nobody ever honked or got mad because they understand they have very little power. It was great on gas though.

I remember the first day or so that I got the car. My room mate and I headed downtown for a fun day. We were going down a side street that was made of cobblestones so we were bouncing all over. I hit a pot hole and bam, the hood flew open! The 500 had a very tiny windshield so the hood completely covered it and I couldn't see anything. My room mate Eric stuck his head out the window to direct me to where we could stop. I had wondered why people put pad locks on the hood (which was actually the trunk, as the 500's had rear mounted engines)! Now I understood and we had one installed immediately!

The new 500's are cute, but way bigger than the original "chinks".

Oh my gosh! Now I finally know what these things are! They must be cemetary type trees, because there's a historical cemetery in town and they have these things growing in them. They make a huge mess in the streets!

Glad you are incommunicato Deb! Loved your setup. You got that order fast! Also, I'm really loving this spinner that came today. Beautiful purple! The bottom dial is very stable so you don't have to worry about moving it unless you are ready to. Actually, this seems to power better than the ego twists that I have... and that's with my clearo & flat tip of course. The warm vape tastes sooo much better. My sweet spot is set at 4.0. I'm vaping the Niquid's Sinnamon which really comes out very warm, clean, sweet with a slight bite to the tongue... which I really love. I think this is fast becoming my absolute favorite flavor... so far.

When I lived in NYC, I had a padlock on the hood of my car, too, but it was to deter theft. People would steal your battery while your car was parked on the street at night, but a big chain and padlock, very visible, stopped them from trying. I guess they might have been able to saw through the chain, but it was more trouble than opening someone else's hood and stealing their battery.

I'm glad you appreciated the Osage orange. They are not actually related to an orange. Next time you see them, take some home and put them under your bed and see if they repel spiders.

Weel the whole thing really!!!!!
The juice I would like to make is RY4 with 80/20 (PG/Vg) 12 nic strength. So what nic strength to buy. Then do I just get un flavored pg and vg. Then put in the flavors.

Also would like to make is 555. Later I was going to try 70/30 maybe 50/50.

If anyone is interested, this is the style of Fiat 500 I had in Italy. I think it was a 1970's model. Mine was Blue. But look at the angle of the car and the people. It was a very tiny car!
