Today marks the beginning of smoke-free week 20. I decided to plug all my purchases into a spreadsheet, to better track my expenditures and do a little math. A grand total of $297.00 over 20 weeks works out to the cost of approximately 3.5 cigarettes per day. I'm sure there are other ways to look at it, but this was the perspective that interested me most.

Now, I must admit, beyond curiosity, was another reason for quantifying my weekly expenditures. I wanted to know whether I was truly saving money, and, if so, to spend some of that on new stuff. I previously smoked a little over half a pack a day, which means I've saving two-thirds. Good news! Now, I just have to decide what merits a purchase...

Congrats on your quit and your savings! Welcome to the forum! I have not saved any money yet because I was busy buying mods and such. Now that I've slowed that down and started to DIY some of my juice, I'm hoping I'll break even in a month or so. That is, if I don't spend some of my tax refund on the newest and shiniest toys out there!

Welcome, Levantes, and congratulations on being smoke-free and saving money.

Excellent, Levantes.

I plan to start saving money over smoking on my one year anniversary date. Yeah, I like my toys.

Look at it this way. It's more interesting than buying another pack of cigarettes, the same old ones you've been smoking forever. So, even if you don't save a lot of money, spending it on vaping is more fun, not to mention healthier.

..It certainly is fun and I have managed to cut my spending down recently so I actually am starting to save money over smoking. I've been vaping for almost 7 months.

Congratulations, Levantes, you have far more self control about buying new "toys" than I do!

Me Tooooooo! I have no self control when it comes to vaping toys. Just ordered a new tank and 510 cartos. I will never catch up but now it is a hobby:laugh:

H Deb, it s 10:55 PM here on the East Coast of US. I have been watching Breaking Dawn Part One where an 18 year old girl marries a vampire, has a baby, dies, get bitten by her vampire husband and awakes at the end as a vampire. BOORING.........! It was very slow compared to the to the other preceding films. Now I have to wait to see Part Two to see what their life will be like.

Almost time for bed, and today watching the movie, I almost reached vaping 5 ML. I will be catching up with you soon. Tanks make the difference. When I was dripping cartos, I used much less e-juice.

Catch you later.

From most of the reviews I've read, the diaper doesn't work 100% and some seepage occurs. I don't have a budget set aside to get new furniture. So, she is in the crate with frequent potty breaks.

My heart sinks to have to do this, but I have several friends with rescue dogs that say it's the best thing to do. Unfortunately she doesn't seem to get the message and wants to lay on the couch after she pees on it.

If I had the money, I'd send her to a kennel for the next week! :) What really gets me is that her human mom doesn't think of this as a bad thing. Of course, she isn't the one cleaning up after her either!!!

The only way I see saving your couch is to have it professionally cleaned and sanitized after the dogs are gone. Even that may not get the urine out completely. Hopefully Whisper won't detect the scent because she may "scent mark" in the same location. I'm going to sound like the bad guy here, but if you have your furniture and carpets professionally cleaned, I would send her the bill. You still have to live there when this is over.

Congratulations Levantes and welcome! It's great being smokefree and that in it's own right is enough to celebrate. There are so many great flavors and devices to try and enjoy your vaping journey with. SI will be having a St. Patrick's day sale and that will give you the opportunity to get some new flavors and toys to have fun with, saving even more money. ;)

Aha! I knew there should be SOME holiday or other forthcoming. Perhaps I should make sure I'm registered for the newsletter... Perhaps try one of the new Spinners. I think the Volt 78s for workdays, and something bigger for home/play.

I hope it's okay to ask this, here, but with a first foray into a bigger battery, will I be limiting myself with the 808D threading? With luck, one of the three cartomizer options from SI will work out well for me, but, if not, am I stuck? Has anyone had good luck with 808/510 adapters?

Good morning volties!

I'd like to have an electric fence to surround my little ...... house guest dog!!! ;) I'm going to be nice and put all of them in the car and take them to the park in a little bit. I'd much rather be riding...

Yeah, I'd be the one to get it for sure! I actually thought about putting a diaper on her. But I want her to realize she needs to go outside and do her business. I've never had such a strong willed dog like this one. She apparently has been doing this behavior for years.

Oh mylanta! I'm sorry, but I have missed most of this conversation. Rescue dogs are often "kennel dogs" and are not potty trained as they have been forced by constant caging to potty where they live. This is difficult to undo. Have you tried puppy pee-pads and baby-gating her into the kitchen or someplace w/ a solid surface floor?

SI is great for those who are new to the electronic cigarette. They do not carry the more advanced vaping equipment. As for me, I started with SI's starter kit which included 78's then went with the X2's for longer battery life then added the new SI spinners to experience variable voltage... dialing in the right setting to get the best flavor. These topped with the T3's.

Many of us have incorporated 510 threaded devices from other vendors. In my opinion, there are not as many options with the 808 threaded devices. You can use adapters such as 808/ego and 808/510 to expand the use of SI's batteries with many 510 or ego threaded juice delivery systems.

I have several ego twists, and will be adding a more advanced device in the near future. I will continue to use my SI batteries and ego twists right along with whatever new device that comes along. I love them all and I'm sure you will too. :)

Addition: Kanger is coming out with a new glass tank... Kanger Protank this month. Real classy!
