Sitting down, facing forward.
Let's see, wild asparagus is like "store bought" asparagus but simly grow wild, uncultivated, in open, unused fields. It does take the right soil and moisture conditions, but it is delicious with a much fuller and richer flavor. The most valued ones were, at most, six inches long and a half or three quarters of an inch in diameter. Tender and soooooo much wonderful flavor.

Too many songs, music, pop into my head - Classical Gas (Mason Williams), Leila (Eric Clapton), Hotel California (Eagles). Cats in the Cradle (Harry Chapin), Theme from Cats (Streisand), Tramp Shining (Richard Harris), Sloop John B (Beach Boys), Theme from Titanic (Celine Dion), Star Wars Theme (John Williams), Quiet Village (Enoch Light) and I could just keep on going.

Morning Volties and thanks for the coffee Awsum.

I had a "pm" from Tail when I logged on this morning. She came home from work last night to find her home completely ransacked... many things stolen, even taking her Evic. Whisper was unharmed and she's thankful for that but needless to say, she is completely devastated, on top of what she is already going through. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers.

I'm so sorry to hear it. Sending vibes.

interesting read ...abit of mystery still about his death....some say suicide......some say murdered....mmmmm

Just about every famous person who has committed suicide has a group of people convinced it was a murder/conspiracy. Heck most famous people who die in any way other than (and sometimes including) natural causes has groups convinced of the conspiracies. It's a natural reaction because we don't like to admit to our own mortality.

Thanks, Wabbit, I had to stop and listen, with earphones (not ear buds!), even though I have the original on vinyl, I think, somewhere in the basement and copies in digital format on all my devices.

A few I forgot, A Train and In the Mood are both classics. A number of Mathis songs are great as is Tony Bennet. Heck, the amount of good music, in most any style, is so great it boggles the mind. Neil Diamond also has a number of great ones, that never made it on the pop charts.

The one I used to hear all the time was that he ran a record store in Kalamazoo, MI. Granted I lived in MI and there was a large psychiatric hospital in Kalamazoo....

Elvs Is In the House

I have a friend who sings fairly well, and when there is a Karaoke, he ALWAYS does Elvis. Once on a cruise with him and 20 other friends, he won the Karaoke contest singing Jail House Rock in a white suit, with scarf. Whenever someone spotted him on the Ship they would yell "Elvis is in the House !" and everyone would Yell ---- "Hi Elvis !" It was a blast.

And here he is singing on the cruise.
