There's one thing that I learned in my 63 years on this planet, Debra and that is family is important, very important. Stay near your folks and they will be happy and you will be happy. :)

Hi Jerry.

Yeah, she's usually on top of threads that are getting carried away. I only read through the first few pages, so I might have to go back and see how bad they were. I stopped when I noticed people were talking about different stories like they were one.

hint.... pop corn and coke...pic....after that...well you make your own opinion...I have mine...ill keep to myself..

Hello, everyone! :)

Good morning, Peeps. :) The closest I got to Florida, was Brunswick, Georgia, Jekyll Island to be more precise.

The closest I have ever been to Florida is Houston Texas:)

Looks like some of ya'll don't get out much.

Looks like folks in here need to take a road trip!! My hubby and I dragged the kids all over the place. I think we've hit nearly all the states east of the Mississippi, and a bunch west too. After the boys were older, we were able to leave them home and have some time to ourselves, which was really nice, and we didn't have to worry about finding someone we could trust with our dog. We were just talking this morning about how we haven't gone anywhere this year, trying to figure out how we can get away now that our youngest has moved into his own place. Our dog sitter has flown the coop! Love my Mac to pieces, but he is not a good travel companion. Looks like for the time being we will have to make due with day trips.

Hope you all are having a good Sunday!

I suppose when you are raised in such a beautiful area you learn to leave well enough alone and stay put? I love to visit new places, but I would never move away from the Great Lakes. Well, maybe if I had unlimited funds I could leave for the worst part of winter....yeah, I could live with that. :)

Oh boy! I feel like I'm from another planet! The closest I've been to FL is Charleston, IL. That's the furthest south I've been. The furthest north I've been was Steven's Point, WI. We spend too much on vaping stuff to travel! Although, hubby does want to go out East to Baltimore, MD, and West Virginia to see his family. He hasn't seen them since he moved out here over ten years ago. He really wants to see his grandparents before they pass away. Personally, I want to move there.

This morning, my friend Karen came and rode with me. She rode one of the barn owner's horses, Ali. It wasn't as hot as I anticipated. The only adventures were that Penny stumbled over a fallen log -- she has to learn to pick up her feet and watch where she's walking, something you'd think she'd know by now, and she went to her knees and I thought for a moment we were going down, but she recovered -- and Ali was very bothered by the flies and decided to roll while Karen was riding her. No one was hurt, and it was good to be riding again. Then we went out to lunch at Red Newt, which was always our favorite restaurant, but they changed the format, and we didn't like having our menu and the wines chosen for us. I guess I should email Red Newt and ask for the old lunch menu back again. I can't understand why they changed, since there was a lot less business than Karen & I remember from before the change.

I hate when places change things, like that! Although, I am glad that you and Karen had a good time!

morning volties........interesting thread to read ..The lady who caught on fire...I read all 19 pages....Oh dear...

Hello Debra! Sounds like I've missed something!?! What happened?!? :pop:

Where is everyone? Where's Raven?

Didn't she say she might not be around this weekend? It's Sunday, so maybe she'll check in soon.

She said something about running away. I tried getting her to take me along! :p

Not much going on here. I finished my homework for today. Woohoo! I am thinking of changing my major though. In fact, I sent an email to my student advisor, already. I'm tired of Graphic and Web Design and you would think that I would know something about it after getting my Associates. Well, we don't get much time to spend learning the different Adobe programs. They'll give us a week to figure out one program. I've only worked with Dreamweaver 3, many moons ago, to create web pages. We have not went over that part, at all, and it doesn't look like we will. Um...I'm majoring in web design and development, where's the classes on that stuff?!? Anyway, they are eliminating their art programs, completely, in October of 2015. All instructors will be let go. If I happen to fail or need time off I am screwed, which is why I couldn't get a break for my surgery or my Grandmother's funeral. My therapist had suggested looking into becoming a paralegal or a social worker. I was thinking of switching to business management, as I've worked in management for several years in fast food. Thing is, there's a lot of math and accounting classes, which I'm not into. So I am looking into a general degree in Criminal Justice. I've always wanted to fight for victims of domestic violence and maybe going into law would be one way to help. Who knows, maybe after I get my Bachelor's I might go on to become a lawyer. Although, I might be too old by then to even go to trial! LOL!

Oh so sorry about the long post on school! I hope I didn't bore any of you! Hope you all have a great evening and Deb, a great day. It's 9:10 PM, here, so I assume it's day time there.
