Good night with another winter photo. Though there's no snow, there's ice on the pond. I hope it makes those of us who are suffering from the heat think of winter and being cold.

The reason I never said good night yesterday is because my friend Mariah threw a birthday party for me. There were even fireworks. OK, a winery nearby was putting them on for a 4th of July celebration, but we walked out in a field behind Mariah's house and sat on a blanket and watched them. Mariah also had a cookout with steak & chicken and some cold salads. Yum! Afterward, we sat around and drank wine and talked till quite late. It was a great party.

I've been partying all week, it seems. Now I guess life will go back to the usual humdrum.

There's a small B&M store in Port Orange that that tries to have meets once in a while. Actually they've been in Edgewater for a long time but just opened a new store in PO. I don't know of any closer to you than that.

That sounds as though it may be E-Smokeronline?
Port Orange is not too far from me! I'll be looking into that store!
Thanks!

I love my iClear 16's and am planning on getting the coils very soon! I see that many vendors are catering to the iClear 30's, too! Have to look around for the 16's.

I'll keep looking too, and when I find them, I'll let you know!

Sandy, that last picture of the lake gave me such a sweet feeling of serenity.
Thanks for posting that and all the other lovelies you share!

Hi tina I think its best you read thread for yourself..

I did a search for it and found it. Read through most of it. WOW! I had heard about the incident with the two going to the airport and an eCig exploded. It was through a blog I'm subscribed to. For some reason I thought she was using it as a passthru, but she wasn't. I don't know, I usually charge my batteries at home and some in a lipo guard bag. I just hate how this may affect the vaping community!

I have been all the way around the world, thanks to my Navy time. I've been through every state, although I was little and don't remember some of them.

My home office is almost completed. I have to put the thresholds in and I'm done. Hopefully things will go smoother tomorrow than they did today.

Hope everyone has a good night!

Got your PM and responded, Flowersoul! I love how they have different colors! I don't really understand co-ops. I think I'll go check them out, though, and read up on them! Thanks! :)

It seems that Classy is the popular mod on this forum, I have known her since she was a noob. I started her welcome thread in the Veterans Forum and to be honest, I hated to see her become a moderator.

Seems like a really tough job that she's taking very seriously. Must be hard, making the judgment calls that she does, and staying so vigilant. I hope she still has friends.

So the nephews got their toys today. One of them fell in love instantly with Classic Grape and said "meh" to the tobacco flavors. I told him, "yeah, you're good now, but wait 'til you try Blueberry!" Poor guy, he's hooked for sure. He's gonna be flavor-crazy in no time! Good sign: they're already asking me about green apple, banana and melon (not that they ever eat real fruit). All I can say is WOW, on their first day. I bet they're gonna hate going back to analogs after they try those.

:shock:Not one of them liked RY4 or 555! My brother hasn't gotten his stuff yet though, so we'll see... Freedom seems to be their tobacco flavor of choice so far, but they seem to be more into Watermelon and Classic Grape. Nice! Pretty pleased with how that went.

That's great news about your nephew's, Cindy! My husband doesn't care for the tobacco flavors, either. He says they all taste like a dirty ashtray, although he's still smoking on occasion. I don't pressure him about it, though. He's got his equipment and really likes the Sinnabun that I got for him in a trade. We're expecting more eLiquids, from another vendor, so we will see how it goes. He really likes being able to make his own flavors.

I don't know classwife very well. I've seen her around the women's chat subforum, though. I got my first infraction from her for creating another account, under a new email address. I wanted to change my username and I hadn't read any of the rules of the forum yet. She did have my name changed for me and eliminated the first account, though. I don't understand how infractions work, as one says 0 points and another says 10 points, all for the same thing. The 10 points says it's been reversed, though. *shrugs*

Hope everyone is resting well and has a great day! I've got two hours to wander around the internet before hubby gets home! Also sounds like a storm is coming in! I love it when it storms! Makes for nice sleeping weather! Although, it'll be gone by the time I go to bed. *sigh*

Coffee is on!

Good job, Cindycated. Nice to see others turning to ecigs.

So smokey out here. Just awful. There is a fairly large fire going in the Pine Nut mountains. I suppose the good news is that we will have firewood close by next year when it all dries out some but the smoke is so thick .

We went up to Fernley and bought a new pond for the back yard. It is 125 gallons, pre formed. We are looking for a pump for it. We found a nice one that pumps about 1200 gals per hour and is a fountain, too. We are going to put in an electrical box near it. That will be very convenient. We will be able to run the pump and a heater in the winter time. No more hauling water for me:) Hubby is going to design a water feature. Maybe make a gold sluice box and run the water down it and into the pond. We really miss having the birds come into the back yard to drink.

Let the backyard redo begin. It is going to be awhile before we finish it:) We have a long way to go.

Hubby got a lot done this weekend. He got his seatbelt replaced in the old Chevy 4 wheeler. That was a big job. He helped me get the lattice up on the wood shed which looks very nice. I painted the trim white on the horse shed. At least the part where we are putting up lattice and we got the first board in for that. We are going to chip away at that job. I want the horse to have some more protection from the wind even though he is so tiny he can hide behind the four foot tall plywood:) We are filling int he opening above with lattice.

Hello, and Good Morning To All in Voltville. Thanks for the coffee again Lizzie.

Last night Mrs. Wabbit and I went to the weekly concert in our little home town park. Talk about making small town memories.

Our city park sits along the banks of a small tributary of the Wicomico River and there sits a raised bandstand built in approximately 1901 and refurbished several years ago. In the quiet of a summer's eve about a hundred people gather each Sunday evening under the shade of towering sycamore trees and cooled by a gentle breeze. As the town band plays patriotic songs and favorite ballads, you can watch Canadian geese gracefully glide down along the river and land smoothly as the summer sun fades into the evening. The children play in a small park with swings and slides within site of their parents and grandparents, and for that special hour all is well with the world.

And that was my evening, quiet, peaceful and typical small town America. I was ask by one person, what I was smoking and I came up with a new name "just like that"! I replied it was a "steam pipe" and he understood without having to explain what vaping was. I told him it held a battery that produced steam and was harmless. So from now on I think I will continue to refer to my Vamo and KTS Storm as "Steam Pipes".

Enough waxing poetic and I will leave you with one final thought: A Pun at maturity is fully groan.

Sounds beautiful Wabbit. When I lived in Reno I used to go to the Concerts in the park next to the Truckee River. It was wonderful to watch the sun set as you sat in the grass with that pretty little river going by. I listened Zekelah ...... one evening. She is John Lee ......'s daughter and she did some wonderful blues. The guy that was with her, I can't remember his name, but I will never forget his rendition of "Damn Your Eyes". Probably the most incredible musical moment of my life.

Good morning, everyone. Lizzie, as I always say, you are so industrious! You put me to shame. I'll be going grocery shopping today. With all the partying, I let things slide, so now it's back to business. We're running out of lots of food, so the list is fairly long.

Sounds like you had a fabulous birthday, SandySu. I tried multiquoting and it didn't work out for me but I did follow along with everyone's adventures:) That gorge looked so cool and inviting.

Oh wow! I just tried some Orange Dreamscicle NiQuid that I got in a trade. All I can taste is the menthol (I didn't realize it had menthol in it when I asked for it). That's what I get for not clicking on the full description, instead of just reading the one on the page of NiQuids. They hide that little fact! I've heard that NiQuid uses a lot of menthol, too! I am so not a menthol person!

I must admit that I had the same reaction, Tina. It would have been nice if they'd mentioned in the description that it has a menthol hit. That was not what I was looking for at all. It went into the "meh box".

Since we're all comparing where, geographically, we've been, I'll play. I've been along the east coast from Maine to Virginia and inland in North Carolina. I've traveled across the country from NYC to California and back to the area where I live now. Let's see if I can remember the states I've been in: AZ, CA, CO, CT, Washington DC, DE, ID, IL, IN, MA, MD, ME, MI, MN, MT, NC, ND, NE, NH, NJ, NM, NV, NY, OH, OR, PA, PR, RI, VA, and WV. In Canada, I've been in the provinces: NS, ON, PE, and QC. I've also been to England and Turkey.

I've been all over the U.S. too - corner to corner to corner to corner - including Alaska. When I was touring, I held retail licenses for sales taxes in 18 states.

Seems like a really tough job that she's taking very seriously. Must be hard, making the judgment calls that she does, and staying so vigilant. I hope she still has friends.
I definitely consider Classie to be a friend. She does have a tough row to hoe. I don't envy that.

Love that term 'steam pipe'!

Me too! Great way to explain it Wabbit!

Finally caught up on the thread!!

Nuke - I'm so sorry to hear about your flooding issue, but warmed to hear of you giving shelter to neighbors that you didn't even know. Good for you!

SandySu - Your description of the fireflies was almost as moving and poetic as your photography. The fireflies are thick here this year. Lovely to view in dim lantern light. The whole forest just sparkles with them. They were the only fireworks that I needed this past weekend.

Tail - Good luck on that office! Sounds like your ambition is right up there with Lizzie's.

*****************

Well, I'm back to the civilized world. It was rather hard for me to return this time, but provisions were running low and I was feeling a bit overdone. I did miss you all. This time I had to take Lexi with me because Dave and Britt went out of state for the weekend. That also meant that I had to return home to feed the gliders at night. Kind of a bummer, but, what are ya gonna do? Lexi did enjoy the outing, but she's a bit of a diva and missed her cushy bed and window seats. You can probably see a bit of that surliness in this photo:
