I don't know about it being bear, to me it s*cks! Big time! LOL
Having been attacked and clawed by a bear, my personal use of that phrase means that: I agree. It s*cks! Big time!

I went to work yesterday morning in a short sleeve shirt. Worked half day and came home in 3 shirts and a hoodie. Went out this morning in all the above and a lined flannel coat looking like I weighed 10 more pounds. Strange thing is by the weekend we'll be back in the 80s like it never happened and wuzz nothing more than a bad dream.
That's "cold" huh? It's -12 here. Probably MUCH colder for 0mg and Q. I feel for ya, Uncle!!
The young folks here just cleaned 12" or more off of my Jeepers to take out the garbage. YAY! I don't have to clean it off!!! View attachment 292403 I wouldn't worry about it at all, but I know that FedEx and UPS won't have the courage to come into the woods under the current conditions, and I'm expecting packages. I'll have to drive out to retrieve them. The kids say that Jeepers can handle the driveway if I gun it.
One thing that worries me a bit: On Friday through Monday it will reach the low 40's with an abundance of rain on all four days. This will fall on my county road (which hasn't been plowed yet according to the kids) making it an ice rink - AND - the creek will flood big time! Interesting times ahead!![]()
Eh, I'm old fashioned, I miss my typewriter.![]()
I don't miss using white out and correction tape one bit. The nice thing about the computer is you type your thesis or letter and then proof read. When you have to make a correction, you don't end up retyping the whole page!!!!!
Oh maaan! I remember doing that. Repeatedly. NOT fond memories!![]()
A neighborly elf (my lumber guy) showed up with his Bobcat like a knight in shining armor and plowed my driveway and turnaround in the dark last night. He even got my future daughter-in-law's work truck out of the snow bank that had it ensnared and put it back in it's parking space. I'm no longer snowbound. If I know him, he probably plowed the entire county road so that no one else local is snowbound either. Still won't go out with him though.![]()
OK, so what's the scoop? Why not go out with him? He sounds like a really nice guy, ready to help out whoever is in need. I'm sure you have a reason. He can't be perfect. So, do tell!
I'm already in a relationship with a really good guy who treats me like a goddess, and have been since the end of March. So ...
Can't you casually mention this guy you're in a relationship with to the lumber guy? Then he'll get the message that you aren't available. Would that do it? Sometimes it does, but some guys are very persistent and won't take no for an answer. It's worth a try, anyway. Or have you done that?
