Geez Rave, I bet your place is so pretty! With all the pretty birdies and woods with a lovely creek! I wanna place like that one day. Way out in the middle of nowhere is my ideal haven(Fiance likes this too).

Well, it's a wonderful goal for the two of you to work toward. I wanted it for all of my life too until we finally starting building in 2004. I think that almost anything that can be imagined can be achieved. It just probably won't happen as quickly as you'd like. Some things are well worth waiting for. The waiting and working toward it makes it even more appreciated once you have it. Just sayin'. There isn't a day that goes by that I don't shake my head in awe that I'm so derned lucky to be where I am.

Hey Blinken !!!!!! (Men in Tights) lol.

Lincoln was assassinated by the actor John Wilkes Booth at Fords Theater. He's not to be confused with his brother, Edwin Booth, who was also an actor. John Wilkes Booth was part of a conspiracy, to kill the top leaders in the Union, as revenge for the South's loss in the Civil War. Booth was the only one who succeeded in carrying out his part. It was a real loss for the South, because Lincoln wanted to welcome the South back into the Union, with open arms. Others wanted to exact revenge on the South and after Lincoln's death, the others got their way.

Ah, but Celtic, consider the negative side of living that far away from civilization. You have to travel to the nearest town/city for anything that you may need, like food. Also, you would probably have to travel to town, to get your mail, packages, etc.

Bah! You just put it off like I do and only go to town every two or three weeks. Even if you live in the boonies, you still get your mail and packages. Just ask my local postal carrier. His Jeep knows the way to my place so well that he hardly has to steer it. I buy almost everything online other than groceries.

I love the boonies, Raven. I know that my acre doesn't compare with your place, but 2/3 of it is woods and I love it that way. But......I also love the fact that civilization (stores, restaurants, etc.) are only a mile away.

Well, then that is where you should be. I never truly want to go to stores, restaurants, etc., so being so far removed is perfect for me. I don't want to hear civilization and know that it's only a mile away. Some of us are meant to be hermits, and enjoy it thoroughly.

Two hermits, living together, huh? :p

    Yep yep;)

We don't really get along with others our own age cuz well let's face it.... some of them had no raising and it's drama drama drama. Not fun in my opinion:glare: and the others are.... well, doing unmentionable things that we don't want around us. Our county definitely has a problem.

But on a lighter note we just celebrated our five year engagement anniversary!

My new niece is only 5 months old, but soon enough, I will have to teach her how to hunt and fish, how to chop firewood for the cookstove, how to put oil in the kerosene lamps, how to skin, gut and cook the meat for supper, how to plant the crops........oh, wait, I don't live in the deep woods, I don't have to teach her any of those things. :p

You know what, Raven. Maybe, just maybe, considering the crazy world that we live in, you may have the right idea. :)

But, I don't believe that you are really a hermit. You just like to be with nature, especially spiders. :D
