Good morning Voltville.

Coffee is on.

Nevada is looking towards the house. "Gee, she was out here early yesterday. Hope she comes out here soon. I'm hungry. I'm always hungry."

I was over by Nevada's pen yesterday and he said "come over and pet me." So I did and I saw his eyes soften and he looked like a sweet contented horse. I might have to quit calling him Mr. Grumpy.

I have two small burn piles and then I am tired of this chore. I am hooking up my little buddy and we are going driving.

I'm glad Nevada is finally bonding with you. How does he act when you go out driving with Wiseguy? Is he OK being left alone? Does he whinny for Wiseguy?

The electricity went out last night. I went to bed by candle-light. When I woke up this morning, the electricity had been off again, and my heater needs me to tell it to start heating again, so it was down to about 65. Got it started again. I think my heater had been off for about an hour.

I really need to get to work. LOL. Playing on the internet.

What do you think? 208 I mostly wear blue jeans and t-shirts, and most of my t's are from purple to almost orange. I'll stay away for a while and check back on reactions.

You artists ought to be designing for them.

Lizzie, getting to the point where you are driving Wiseguy must be a great victory. When you get back home, make a big thing of rewarding him. And make sure Nevada sees it!!!!

The Bald Eagle. It's my favorite bird and why I chose to draw it. I can't describe the feeling I get when I see one. This vid is awsum.

Oh maaaan!!! Chills. :)

Yep - Was there for "My" usual 5 week trip and let's just say that being there in 14 degrees (wind chill of -4 degrees) today - I am THANKFUL that I just got back to Florida to a Very Warm & Balmy 46 degrees and going down with frost warning tonight . . . So I am basking in the warmth and will be sweltering in 70 degree weather tomorrow . . .

SO - Ya' want to come on down - "You" could be sitting here with "Me" . . .

Just Sayin' . . . ;)

Thanks for the offer, my dear. I could just go to Alaska where it's 40 degrees warmer! :glare:

We have a few around here so I get to see them once in awhile.

I thought I had posted the redo of the eagle. I think all I changed was I added back in the wispy feathers on the back of his head that got smudged out and enlarged his nose hole. I have it in a frame now so I just took a pic of it so excuse the flash glare.

Absolutely STUNNING! Fantastic job, Terry!

This song has been going through my head for days now. All right, already! Enough! I thought I'd share. Maybe it'll purge it from my brain.

*had to cut the video out because ECF won't let me have two videos in a post*

Thanks! Cat Steven's music almost always brightens my day.

Here is the redo of the squirrel. I reworked the ears but they still are not in exact proportion but they'll have to do. I added the shading that Rave mentioned plus a few other things. I roughed up the fur on his neck, darkened his paws, tried to give him a hairier armpit but IDK :p and tried to soften that dark black line between his back and tail. I think I might have taken away too much white in the back of the head. It's done unless someone see's something glaring. ;)

Squirrel%20drawing_Critique.jpg

OMG! Now it looks like real fur and has sooo much more dimension and character. Really, really nice! Ya fixed it!!

I think it's great, a huge improvement over the previous version. The one thing I'll mention is that "dome" that Rave mentioned is too well-defined. Can you soften that line a bit? I think it should match the subtlety of the line above it. Other than that, I'd say it's done. I wonder what Rave will see?

I agree, but I also think that it looks good just as it is because the fur really could roll in that spot and produce a line like that. I've had three gray squirrels that I've hand-raised and have seen the fur do this where there is a natural muscle indentation. The hairs along the flanks are black-tipped.

I just happened to notice this....

Today's Birthdays tmcase,

Hope you've had a nice birthday Terry!

Oh Holy Cow! I missed it! I'm sorry Terry.

Happy Belated Birthday Terry!!

Sounds like an excellent plan! And, I really enjoyed the description of Nevada's reaction to being petted. Awww ...

Bummer about your power going off. I've been scared to death that I'd lose power and heat here. Also bummer about having to get to work!

That skin is intense! Too electric for my tastes though. I typically opt for wood grain, but then, I'm weird.

What is that design? On a T-shirt? I doubt I'd buy it for myself, but it'll be interesting to wear. Definitely different. I like tie-dyes, and it's not too far off from that.

Janet just showed me a picture of 110, another I was considering. So Pretty!! I would go for wood if I had a box mod, but I want to reduce the phallic look of the Vamo.

OH! Why did I not realize it's a skin for an e-cig? OK, I definitely wouldn't choose it. I agree with Rave that wood grain is nice, though mine are just the solid colors they came in.

Why would wood grain make your Vamo look more phallic?

You folks have been pretty quiet. Guess I needed to come back to stir things up a bit. I'm still trying to pull myself together from being overwhelmed over the weekend and now I've got a family crisis that has me worried. Haven't been feeling very sociable as a result. But, I did finish my PV holder as a pleasant distraction. Now I've got a new surveillance camera to figure out and install. I'll be able to watch the woods at night in infra-red and hear it too. That'll be cool. If the sound quality is good.

You know how it is, the hesitation to really get into the zone, when other activities look good, too. The problems of being creatively self-employed.

Yes, inertia. I'm feeling that way about picking up where I left off with Gabe, though I did put the background in last night. But starting to do the horse -- the real work -- is intimidating me.

We missed you. I hope the crisis resolves quickly. Good luck with the new camera. Hearing the woods at night will be almost like camping out.

After seeing those wraps, I can't get that psychedelic song "I dig rock and roll music" out of my head. So groovy.

I am thrilled that Wiseguy and I have made it this far. The first summer I had him was such a challenge. I couldn't have done it without my online mini horse website. I couldn't get the gal that gave me lessons and help me buy Wiseguy to come out here. She totally blew me off. I was so frustrated because I felt that one lesson with my new guy would have helped me so much. I offered to pay for her time and gas but it just didn't happen.

Wiseguy was really jumpy at first. We went back to ground work several times for different issues. I took Wiseguy for walks around the neighborhood so that he could get used to all the new sights and sounds.

One issue was that little horse was stopping fine but then he would get to dancing and moving backwards. We almost went into the sand ditch once. The mini horse website helped with suggestions and I taught him to "stand" just like when you tell a dog "stay". He has to stand while I move around him. That translated to the cart so now I can "Whoa" and then I can say "Stand". It helps when climbing into the cart. I tell him "Stand" and he doesn't move while I climb in.

I don't know if the little guy will ever get over being worried but we are having a blast. I am just careful to keep an eye on the surroundings to make sure nothing is sneaking up on us. He really doesn't like dogs.

Wiseguy is the sweetest little character but I am hopeful that Nevada will work out as my go to horse for events. I don't think Wiseguy is going to be able to be in the local parade which I had as a goal originally. He is just too jumpy. Nevada is very sure of himself and will probably do well in most any situation, presuming he takes to driving.

Don't know squat about squirrel anatomy, but should the shadowing on the white part under his left arm line up with the "dome" thingie?
Nice fixes - he looks more alive and a lot less "stuffed" now. :thumb:
