I am saddened by what SteelJan is going through, but unfortunately I am not surprised. There is way too much cyber bullying going on on the Internet. I've personally been the target of some of that and it can be very stressful. The best strategy for dealing with it is to ignore them. They thrive on the attention they get.
Well, in this case, it looks like SteelJan is getting more attention than the others who bullied her. In fact, I don't even know who they were or what happened. I think others are in the dark, too. We all just know how fond we are of SteelJan, so we're backing her.
Exactly SandySu. It may not even be somebody on ECF. She's into a lot on youtube and other areas of the vaping community as well. I'm just glad Konstantine found it and posted here. She used to post on the old official SI thread when I was starting to use Volt.
I just got mine posted after much looking. You have to create a user chanel as well as sign in. Look for the way to create a user chanel then you can post a comment.
Well, I just went and subscribed to SteelJan's Youtube channel, but there is no where to comment. I don't know what she wants us to do.
Yes, I remember her and how helpful she was to everyone. I miss some of the old-timers. Vapian, too. Maybe SteelJan will return here where it's kinder.
SteelJan is the reason I quit smoking and chose the Volt!!! I cried right along with her. It just sickens me that people can be so rude. All of her reviews/videos/comments are HER opinion. If the haters don't like it...... don't watch or listen. UGH!!

I didn't see this about SteelJan until very late, but I went right over and gave the thumbs up and posted, then came back here and posted on her profile and asked for the friendship button to be pushed.
I know what it is like to be bullied and intimidated, online and in person, and I know the toll it can take on a person physically as well as mentally. There was one point where my doctors were telling me I had to leave my job because the stress of it all was literally killing me from the inside out. I have had surgery an average of once every 2 years in the last 11 years, and 4 were labeled with stress as a contributing factor. After the last one and the physical and mental pain after that caused recovery to take more than a year, I decided no more. I almost died from that stress. I'm within 4 years of retirement. And, to quote that infamous line from Network, "I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore!" I'm fighting back. This is my life. If no one else likes it, too effing bad.
I'll stand behind SteelJan any way I can.

SO TRUE - Been though it myself . . . Matter of fact, it is still going on too, by a couple of people I use to considered "friends" of mine here at ECF . . .
AND when it happens it gets SO BAD - that it can make RL for the person that is being attacked so much more difficult as "SteelJan" said . . .
More importantly, it is without a doubt - so reprehensable, dispicable, and uncalled for especially when it happens to someone like and as special as "SteelJan" . . .
