I have been thinking for a couple of months that I am sensitive to PG. Recently I used some prefilled cartos from a vendor and liked them. I went to the website and discovered their juice is ALL PG, no mention of VG in their ingredients. Something gave me a horrible coughing fit and I just assumed it was the PG, since VG doesn't bother me.

Now I'm wondering if it was actually the flavoring I was vaping (chocolate) or maybe not enough water that gave me the cough. If PG from one vendor doesn't bother me, it wouldn't from another vendor, right? I mean PG is PG.

So maybe I can use PG. In a few days, I think I will order some SI filled cartos and see how that works out.

I hope I can use PG...that would give me a lot more options.:2cool:

Yes you have to keep proportions exact and if you want you can use sweeteners, the only after taste you might get is the fruit itself. For example when i tried banana the ONLY thing smells and tastes is banana. There isn't much i can describe you have to taste it.
So far i tried 50/50 PG/VG mixes but i got some bases and i'll make some 80/20 PG/VG mix.
I was thinking of putting 5-10ml bottles of every flavor i made in the trade section.

I tried other vendors like flavorart etc but their flavors seem to be weak and leaving after taste etc.

I'd trade, but I think the postage to Greece would cost a lot more than trading with people in the US. Can you give me an idea about how much extra is costs to send a small package to Greece vs. somewhere from within the US to someplace else within the US?

I have had that awful coughing fit when I tried to vape high-mg liquids. Try low-nic liquids and see if that helps. I like 6 mg best, but I can go higher. Some flavors seem to cause more coughing than others, and I think which vendor makes the flavor has an effect, too.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say it is the flavoring.

Reason being, my blends are all a combination of PG/VG, and my pre-filled are mostly PG. I have one custom blend, with 0mg nicotine, that I absolutely love, but sometimes it gets "caught" in my throat and will throw me into a coughing spell. It is a blend of wintergreen and vanilla, and is my evening and just before bedtime vape, so I can marathon it if I want. Now, it also has an ingredient that gives it a "cool hit" flavor added, and that may be what gives it the kick for coughing. I have menthol pre-fills and peppermint pre-fills, and Ice Menthol pre-fills, but none will get "caught" and start that cough. So, flavor could have a big thing to do with it, as there might be just one extra flavor ingredient that gets caught in your throat. No other flavor I've tried, pre-fill or blended, has thus far given me the kick my Winter Vanilla does.

I remember I was chain vaping PB Cup in 0 mg from Blue Mist, Sandy...then the cough. No nic, so I thought it must be the PG...could've been the flavoring.

It was just that one time, one flavor for me, too, Kia. There is a lot of trial and error associated with vaping, isn't there? But still more fun than smoking.:vapor:

TK - if you really want a "HARSH" vape. I can give you a recipe for one. It was one of my DIY fiasco's that took me all night to get the taste out of my mouth. It was very close to vaping an ashtray. The problem was - I was not trying to make a tobacco flavor. LOL

Well, I'm not trying to go crazy-harsh, just harsher than the SI liquid. I think I have an idea in mind, but I need some info from a vendor first, which I'm waiting on. Wish me luck.

Shipping to Greece for a few bottles of liquid is 4-5$ on a small protected envelope. The max you can go for packages like this is 10-14$ and that's the worst.

If you have "clean" liquids i mean without bitter stuff or sweeteners etc then it should be fine.
If you have just flavor molecules then it's the best, you can get all the flavor without tie additions of other extras. Also the more complicated the recipe seems to be the more chance of having that kind of problems. I prefer simple liquids.

Hey Uncle :) I'm around here and there... I kinda wandered off to explore what the vaping world has to offer. Then needed a break from the forums in general, was getting to be too much. I'm trying to poke my head in from time to time now. Hope you're doing well

CONGRADS Imagine and SI on the subforum  Yes, I've been away that long  just missed saying goodbye to the old thread.

And Thanks to DM for your message, reminded me I needed to stop by... Congrads on your raffle win :toast:

Hi Lax!!! Nice to see you pop in.
I have to agree to some extent on the way flavors behave for some people. If I vape chocolate mint for too long, even in low mg strength it gives me stomach pains and I feel sick( doesn't matter what pg/vg ratio it is) Same happens when I brush my teeth- almost can guarantee a tummy ache.
I cannot tolerate lemon cordial. The lemon closes up my chest / breathing shallows out and I am constantly either coughing or trying to clear the blockage. Very weird stuff.
Kons - love reading about your technical skills... Would love to hear how the PCc works out.
SandySu - what wonderful news to read about penny and your first ride back in the saddle( excuse the pun ;) )
I feel the same way in summer when I ride the motorcycle to work for a week or two straight then have to bring it back to the sisters house cause our good weather never lasts too long. Sadly I have no room here at home to store it. :( so every chance to ride is very anticipating and exciting.
Stacey- was so touched by your post, hugs hunni, xx
Killer squirrel..... When I got to work this morning and I confused a possum for a squirrel I knew I must be going nuts..... Lol highlight of my day!!
One more day of work and then 2 days off which will be nice. Not so that I miss out on Easter celebration with the whole family on Sunday...... But things could be worse.
Hope everyone is well and have a good day
