As snobby as it makes me sound, and yes, I OWN that, I agree with SandySu, it really speaks to professionalism. I give the side-eye to vendors' sites when they are rife with misspellings and really bad grammatical errors, and it makes me think twice about ordering from them. Go ahead, call me a snob, I can take it. :) My grammar homies will be here soon to have my back :)
TGIF!

 Another Grammar Homie checking in. GH is pleased with SI's decision. :D

OH, I also have an important update: Starsong (and Maggie) are alive and well. :)

Perception can also be subliminal. People can find things attractive or repulsive without even realizing what it is that makes them feel that way. I used to work in retail, and it is amazing how the smallest things can make a huge impact on people.
That's the whole messy psychology behind it. Whenever you look at something, your brain quickly does millions of different calculations and analyses on it, and it jumps to conclusions before anything ever even becomes a conscious thought. Haha, I had to take a psychology class just to understand this myself. People are so strange. Especially in retail!

Here, there, everywhere!
I've been lurking and not posting, so I just wanted to say "Hi, Volties!"

You all with your dappled sunlight and green fields and peace and quiet are making me jealous. I USED to live somewhere like that. :p

Don't be jealous - just join us:D

Fireflies out tonight big time along with all the stars and the sounds of the bullfrogs! Life is grand!

I have shared this elsewhere but I love it so much I thought I would share here too - this is a tree on our gravel road that I so wish was in my yard

Easy peasy.... Take that fine looking machine in your avatar and voila!! Providing of course you have the weather to match. ...
Thanks Wuzz for "popping in" and leaving a few words. Semi's hint will go towards confirming my suspicions not the solution. Its getting a proper going over by a mechanic sometime next week.
It's dreary here today, but I have taken a leaf out of Rave's book and been clearing out old clutter, making some great progress.
Semi two house moves were enough for me, I still have another one to go when I move back into my unit..... It's a rightful pain. I hope you stay sane and it goes well.
Hi everyone hope your day/ night is great . Enjoy

Well it is another Great Start on a Saturday Morning - at least it is here in the U.S. I always forget the international aspects of this forum, but I do know that it is Saturday no matter where you are in the world right now... Well almost everywhere...

The hardest part with the move that we are making is that it is a downsize and I have to sell sell sell to make it all fit and here I am at almost moving day and we have not sold anything yet - we are still discussing it (LOL)...

Now, THAT is a tree.

Yes indeed it is. Had one just like it until it keeled over crushing our propane tank, our electrical pedestal, and smashing our well including the bedrock. Some of the roots also ripped up our power conduit to the house - which leaked water into the house and flooded the basement. Just to add insult to injury, it chose a day in February when it was 13 degrees to leave us without electricity, water, and heat. It took forever to drill a new well. Thank goodness we have a fireplace and it (Grandpa) didn't fall on the house. It was the biggest white oak I'd never seen. Doesn't look quite so big in this pic as a fallen giant though. All of the men are the local volunteer fire department trying to figure out what to do. They decided that they couldn't do a darned thing.

This is what Grandpa looked like before our house was built. I was camping there in February. The tent is about 10' at the base to give you some scale. The other trees look anorexic in comparison.

Hi, everyone. It's Saturday, and a chance to rest for today and tomorrow before I get all knotted up again, as I sent a message to my division chief asking for a meeting to talk about what happened with my branch chief, and hopefully keep my job for the next 4 years until retirement. I have too many years to be going through this kind of garbage now. :(

The hardest part with the move that we are making is that it is a downsize and I have to sell sell sell to make it all fit and here I am at almost moving day and we have not sold anything yet - we are still discussing it (LOL)...

/hug Semi
That is the hardest part of any move. I'm already supposed to be "downsized" but I'm kind of a hoarder. I don't want to let anything go. I actually want to upsize, but that is not going to happen without a lotto win.

How do we know TK hasn't already taken over the tree? /hug TK

Speaking of TK, one of his "cousins" visits at work quite regularly. He (she?) likes to chatter and stock up on the the peanuts someone has been spreading around, but will not sit still for a photo op. One of these days...

And, Wuzznt, please pass a /hug on to Retriever for me.
