I have shared this elsewhere but I love it so much I thought I would share here too - this is a tree on our gravel road that I so wish was in my yard

Today was a tough day. This morning/early afternoon I was VERY tempted to smoke. Somehow I managed to talk myself out of it. Another analog-free day in the bag. [whew!]

You can probably tell from my avi that I've always loved climbing trees. I'll never forget climbing Grandpa one day. It was such an ancient tree that I couldn't help but wonder what all had passed beneath it during its long life. I swear I could feel that tree's energy flowing through it.

Now Kia, I did not say lazy. I would never say that... I just said - everyone went to bed early so they should be up early and we had Bacon, Eggs, and French Toast on the stove so I was taking orders (LOL)...
What is that old saying - "Early to bed early to rise"... LOL
What? NO!! No way!!
By that time my daughter will hopefully be a teenager (or an adult!) and she won't wake me up at 6:00 every day so I will stay in bed until late!! I will turn and turn, watch all my favorite soaps at bed, eat breakfasts in bed, I think I will do ALL the things I can't do now!! And waking up at six is something I AM doing now

Fani - You would be amazed. I thought that I would be the same way and want to sleep in late. But, when you retire, you don't dread having to get up early to go to work. You enjoy getting up early to do all of the things that you want to do. Not the things that someone else wants for you to do.
