You need ATF license and PGI membership in the states. Also a LOT of reading and discussing BEFORE you do.

rave would be ideal to build, she has space for containers and building plus shooting.

PLUS: Women love it when everything is coated with black dust.

Oh yeah - We truly love that! Shooting here wouldn't work out too well though. My land is ENTIRELY forest.

That's gorgeous! :) Hope you're not literally feeling blue, or I'll have to declare an epidemic.

No Rave, I wasn't really feeling blue. I was trying to come up with something clever to say. I love my blue x2 and it makes me feel good that it looks so nice with the accessories. It kept me company yesterday.

My daughter lives in NJ and we don't get to see each other very often but she called my partner yesterday because he has an iPhone4 and I got to do facetime with her. Seeing my 41 year old baby girl on Father's Day made it so special.

Well, you can make a shed to build stuff. A small open space to shoot.

Lesson No1: NO fireworks in the summer. Since may we stopped firing to avoid forest fires etc. It starts after October.
Till then build.. I have a 16 inch firework waiting to be prepared.

Geesh - 16". Holy cow!!

A shed for fireworks is just not a priority for me. First I need to build a shed to house the milling machine, lathes, tractors, and Hammerhead, etc.. I've got it built on CAD, and know how to do the framing, but lack the funds to bring it to reality. Right now everything is housed in a tarp building.

My son found out that fireworks don't last long in the forest. The humidity is like a jungle. Wonder if his 6' of cannon fuse that he got to blow up the sink hole is still viable.

16 inch is my larger (maybe i'll go to 24inch but not now) , i have 12, 10, 8, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 inches, all spherical shells.
That is why u use magazines with activated bentonite or something to absorb humidity..

By cannon fuse you mean the green visco fuse?

I have no idea what he has. His arsenal is a little scary.

I've got it built on CAD

Rave, you do CAD work. That is cool - so do I. I have designed my last two houses in 3D CAD and I have had about 12 of my designs become reality. I do it as a hobby - not as a career or to make money. - Strictly an amateur with no training - just design what I think is right...

Wow, Semi. 12 have been built? That must be a good feeling.
I have rarely been in a house with a floor plan that I actually liked. Since it's unlikely that I'll ever be able to have a house built to my tastes, one of the things on my "lottery list" is to have a modestly-sized house with an intelligent and comfortable lay-out.

That's really impressive! I've only designed the one I'm living in now in 3D Architectural CAD, and then redid it in Sketchup just for giggles. It was fun because I could actually incorporate the images of the fabrics and hang my paintings on the walls. It was a challenge putting my tiger on the tiger shelf though. Funny thing: The SketchUp version of my house has all the same furniture and whatnot, but it's a whole lot neater.

For the last two years I have been working on a retirement home series. So far there are 6 designs all leaning towards the needs of retired people, can be handicapped or not - simple, but complete. They are green in design and will have high energy standards. They probably will never be built (maybe one for me), but I am having fun designing them...

That sketchup looks interesting. Might have to play with it for draft versions. Never tried one that I bothered with putting fabrics and paintings, but might be fun... Now, I just gotta find the free time to try it...

16 inch. Spherical. Shell.

What the heck do you use to fire a shell that size??? Do you have a mothballed battleship in your back yard? 8-o

A mortar tube. Usually HDPE pipes. The large ones are burried into the ground.

 Ugh, just can't seem to catch a break...
Last night I spilled a full glass of water all over my laptop keyboard! AAARH! SWATTING A FRUITFLY! :grr::mad:

It still works though - just need a new keyboard and speaker now (good thing I like taking this thing apart) - but dang, $50 for a 7-year-old part! Ah well...so much for the X2/clearos... all the kinks should be worked out of them by mid August/September anyway, right? :)

...or I could just go old-school and keep using this external keyboard (yikes, awkward for me)...or learn to only use words that don't have the letter "g"...

Rave, August 20 is on my calendar now...and just think: if you had dwarves, you'd be able to send THEM out to gather veggies out in the hot sun! :p
