Thanks for the coffee Semi. I reeeaaaalllly need it this morning.

I gotta have my coffee. Thank you, Semi.

I am currently using a cheapo coffee pot I bought at the Dollar Store. I recently found an online deal for a new (much nicer) coffee pot and 4 boxes of coffee from Gevalia for $10...about what I paid for the cheapie one. I am waiting for cheapie to die and keeping my new one in reserve. I have one that uses the pods, but I find the pods too expensive for my taste.

I think I have a percolator stored away somewhere. Anyway, I guess my point is, I hoard coffee supplies like I hoard vaping supplies. It is better for all mankind if I don't run out of either.:glare:

This is very simple actually.
The stars inside the shell are lying on the walls of the shell, which is spherical so when you break (the shell explodes) the shell all the stars are expelled in a spherical pattern.
If you place your stars inside the sphere e.g. heart shaped or cube, or smiley you will have this pattern.

The japanese are best at this

The stars are those little "balls" and depending of the composition they emmit colors or effects, they are usually binded with starches or some other chemical binders.
In reality the colors and effects you see are those little balls burning up in the sky.

Thanks for showing us how it's done. I can see why it's so fascinating to do these.

Good evening all.
Kon & fani hugs n positive smile's to u both!! Megabee you look radiant.
My internet is playing up and i keep missing pages of posts? We also just had a 5.9 earthquake hit a few hours ago which was peculiar.
I lurve watching fireworks, amazing vids!!
Not much news here, although i am learning a new signal box at work that was first built in 1929, it sure is an exercise. Here's a pic

Same principle as the other box i am already qualified for but as that is updated with switches and situated at the end of the line, this one is a tad more busy being in between stations on either side :)

I hope everyone's OK from the earthquake. When I first moved to California, I found them exciting. Then there was the big one, which actually scared me. I learned that you can't pile dishes in the dish drainer so carelessly as I did when I lived in the East.

Thanks for that explanation Konstantine. That does sound pretty simple. I wonder why we don't see more of that. It would be cool if some 4th of July show they could do one in shape & colors of the flag.

I've seen a flag one, but it was a structure standing upright on the ground that they lit up, not in the air.

We just bought a new coffeemaker: http://www.walmart.com/ip/Hamilton-Beach-12-Cup-BrewStation-Deluxe-Coffeemaker-47454/4029283 We had an older version of this one for several years, but it's started to behave oddly, so we got a new one. We really liked the old one, though it takes up a bit more counter space than coffeemakers we've had in the past. I should take it out of the box and set it up. We've still been using the old one. Isn't that silly of us?

Yeah! Most probably they will have a chinese flag inside cause most of them are imported from China (not even japan).
Not many shells are produced in US. And most of them are high quality stuff but amateurs and low quantities.

btw one guy who taught me a lot of this is a US resident but a Greek, he makes the best fireworks i even seen. I think he lives in Raleigh.

Shells with shapes have a different problem, the shell when it's shot up it's usually spinning VERY fast and at the time of the break it might be in a vertical position rendering the effect useless, the whole shell needs to break at a specific angle to be viewable from the ground. Complex designs might not look that good, the stars may be aligned perfectly but the break is round, a flag will look odd.
That is why most of them are simple designs like hearts, smileys, stars, dicks, etc etc

I don't think it's silly, Sandy. That's exactly what I'm doing. I just refuse to get rid of the old one until it stops working.

Holy cow, that's a lot of juice! You must really love that stuff.
That's about 2 or 3 months' worth, and I'm OK with vaping the same two flavors for that long. Heck, I smoked menthols for 30+ years! This way, it's like paying <$6/bottle (including tax and shipping), putting it within my budget...but yeah, I really do love that stuff! :p

...those dud flavors I had came from experimenting with other vendors. TV has so far been good to the last drop, so I don't worry. :)
