Looks like I'm gonna get a big wet sloppy kiss from Debby. Tropical storm Debby that is.

I've been away from work (where I obsessively keep an eye on the weather in central/south FL) since Sat midnight, and I was thinking that you were already getting it by now. It's been raining in the Sarasota area since I think last Thur. It's been raining here since Sunday, and not showing any signs of easing up. +1 on the water table finally getting right. Hopefully.
You know, we haven't had any wind to speak of, but there have been some trees that just fell over because the ground has gotten so soft.

Stay dry and safe, CatLady.

Oh we're getting some rain. It started yesterday but not much volume yet. About 3 1/2 " so far is all. We've been on the outskirts until yesterday but the bands are starting to come farther east and north now. She was supposed to be heading for Texas, then the panhandle, but now the path puts her heading straight for us. Ocala has had the most problems with flooding and sinkholes. Hope it doesn't change it's mind again. We're on the wet and tornadic side. No warnings yet but under tornado watch. I'm hoping for a couple more days of rain at least. We're in East Central just south of Daytona.

Keep ever watchful, Wuzznt. Don't let the weather catch you. Three years ago, tornado turned my life upside down. Had a bad bout of storms a couple of weeks ago with the sirens going off and I was not a very happy camper until it was over.

Wow Kia. Sorry to hear that but glad you didn't get hurt physically. We don't get sirens here but most of the tornados we get here aren't that big a deal. We did have some deadly ones several years ago but most just do property damage. I love to watch storms and usually sleep with the door open on the lee side watching the show.

You didn't? I thought everybody had them.

:lol::lol::lol:

JK. I'll have to dig out the camera and show you what happens when an old goat has too much time on his hands. I'll have to get permission from Imagine though since it does involve a part that isn't Volt.

My question is what happens when an old goatette has too much time on HER hands. :laugh:

It finally happened. One of my original batteries, a 78 auto, has departed it's usefull life. It was doing fine a couple of days ago but Sunday I thought I noticed a short charge time. Yesterday I was sure it was fully charged but didn't notice what time I started using it. Today I charged it and got less than an hour.I've been using three daily since last July as my primary devices,2 78s and one 65, all unsealed autos. They've been worked hard and somewhat absused, occasionally getting wet from rain, dropped, stuffed in pockets with keys and other items, left in hot cars, left outside overnight etc.. Don't think I'm gonna fill out a ticket with CS lol. I have a couple of new ones I bought last year thinking I needed backups. Time to break one out. Brand new old styled unsealed. Nobody's gonna tell me they don't last.
