Those fasting mornings are killers alright lol. Better watch your nic intake as well if it's bloodwork or you'll come back diabetic. I can manage getting through making the appointment but I'd darn well better be the first one they see lol. If I have to sit there hungry before coffee very long I start getting a little testy.

You? "Testy"? I'm not buyin' it.

Yikes! We are going to be 106 today, up from the 101 they predicted earlier. I don't ever remember it being that hot here.

Hub took me out to breakfast. There is a charming little cafe in our town that serves everything made from scratch. We had eggs, bacon, biscuits and gravy. Delicious Southern cooking. Only thing, the coffee was a little weak for me. I like coffee with an attitude.

You and me both. I like coffee that'll put hair on my chest. Oh wait ... maybe not quite that strong. Ever have Turkish coffee Lilac? Decades ago I dated a plastic surgeon that lived on the stuff because he never knew when he'd be called in to sew someone's scalp back on or something. He got me seriously hooked on it. It'll prop your eyeballs open for 24 hours straight.

might have to try some of that coffee,,I can not STAND weak coffee,,,,,,,although if the food is as good as Lilac described, I might be willing to suffer the coffee (and then make more at home LOL)

It's not the kind of coffee you can make in a coffee maker. It's brewed in a special pot called a jezve and is served in demitasse.

Never had Turkish coffee, Rave. Sounds...umm, exhilarating. I found coffee ONCE that was too strong for me. I was at MILs for a family function and her step-granddaughter made the coffee. She had been to school in France and got used to the way the French drink coffee. That was the only time I had to add water to my cup of coffee.

Yeah, no problem, Holly. I always have coffee at home. My Mom and Dad always had a pot going and everyone who came through their front door was offered a cup.

Konstantine - I don't want for you to think that I've forgotten about your gifted eliquids. To be perfectly frank, I've been going through an MS relapse - so my taste buds (amongst other things) are a bit wonky. So - I'll give them the evaluation that they deserve when I'm back on track. Sorry about that. :(

When I was in Korea I used to order my coffee with two side cups of hot water to cut it with... They serve it in 4 oz cups with enough coffee in it to make 12 oz... of very strong coffee...

The best test for if the coffee is strong enough is with a spoon. After you make the coffee stand a spoon up in your cup and if the spoon slowly descends to the side of the cup then it is about right... If it falls immediately then it is tea...

I'm only gonna say one thing today about the Turkish Coffee - which BTW, I also happen to enjoy once in a blue moon or when really needed - might I suggest very strongly . . . if it is your first time trying and tasting this wonderful concoction . . .

PLEASE BE SURE TO BE NEAR A BATHROOM ! ! !

If you don't know what I mean . . . ;)

Well - after just one cup - let's just say "YOU" WILL . . .

Now we just got to get her to turn around and face the camera...
 I know, huh? What the heck is she lookin at?

Thanks for the tip, Konty - I'll try that. I think I'm also gonna try adding some Vanilla Custard, Bavarian Cream, or something like that, to get it more like a milk chocolate, instead of the dark chocolate that it is - I'm a chocolate freak, but I guess not for the dark kind ...then maybe keep it around as a mix for other things if I still don't like it (jeez, I have 148 ml of this stuff!).
