Hello . . .

I hope this works, i know it's been a while since I've been here, but things have been a little difficult trying to type anything. My arm is ben in a sling for about a week now pulled a muscle and have a couple of pinched nerves or something like that. Doctor wants me to keep it immobilized. Typing 1 finger with left hand - not good when you are use to using your right.hand so I am now using the dictation program in my tablet. Been trying it out when i send a couple people pm, before posting here. Seems it doesn't work too bad. Just got to learn all the commands so I don't keep making mistakes. Been very interesting lurking and seeing what you all have been up to too. hopefully I'll be back to normal soon and I'll pop in every now and then. And then let you know what's up well that's it for me talk to you all later.
Hey Uncle! I hope you get better!
You can use your voice to write and leave your hands to rest. If you do training on the soft you won't need any hands :)

Very Early Morning Everyone :)

I just saw that post about the guy slating Volt in the new members forum. He posted a video by GrimmGreen to back his claim up about the Ego Twist which is fair enough but on the video comments section someone asks him to recommend a mini e cig:
"So in your opinion what's the best mini ecig with long lasting carts. I've been using blu
and I'm not happy."

GrimmGreen replies:
"smokelessimage volt , hands down"

I thought that was quite beautiful in it's own way :)

Anyway Get better soon Uncle. :)

Sitting down, facing forward.
Mornin Vorolytes! Got the morning "duties" done, dog walked and fed so now I'm cruisin around the web letting the wife sleep late enjoying my coffee and RY4. While the midwest is parchment dry, we've been getting rain, maybe 1/2" to an inch a day. I just mowed the other day, but it looks like I need to mow again, in less than a week. The weeds are going crazy in the flower beds, but the garden is doing pretty well, gonna try the first corn we've ever planted with dinner tonight.

Hi Uncle, haven't met you really yet, but I hope your arm heals quickly. Being left without one "paw" makes for some "interesting" times. Your talk 'n' type seems to be doing a fairly good job though. Congrats on getting that to work, I may have to look into that since I hate the "keyboard" and autocomplete on my tablet.

Anyone see this thread in the new members forum? Anyone can recommend a starter kit for a newbie

Someone posted that the volt is a horrible device for anyone trying to quit smoking unless that person only smokes 2 cigarettes a day. It even said that using the volt is a death sentence. And that it is not a good device for a 1/2 pad smoker

I never been much of one to be fan boy in forums but i feel kinda strongly about Volt and SI's excellent support, so if i see negative Volt stuff it kinda pisses me off, Again i am not a fanboy & if someone like there system, whom ever makes it that is great, I just dont like them putting down someone elses stuff. Anyhow, I started to write an honest appraisal of the Volt & SI since it was seeing alot of unjustified & unsubstantiated negative vibes and it looked to me like the ego was being pumped alot..... the thread was closed so i couldnt, but here is my thoughts & i am gonna try to organize it something more consise later.

I am Super happy with my Volt and i am gonna tell everyone that. Me Personally i think Volt is a great system & SI is a great company !!!!!!!!!! I also Know its human nature any time u spend any money u consider substantial, to like what u got. But i see my love for my Volt as more than some sort of Xbox vs PS3 type of raving.... SMOKELESS IMAGE has all sorts of excellent stuff for everyone. I am new so i cant speak to super high end stuff like privara but ill give my thoughts on that market and how beginers dont belong there. I DO KNOW if want to get the bare minimum, two bats and charger there prices are as good as the cheap stuff that i am sure is not supported. u might save $0 to $5, if u search the internet and get very lucky ... me i am a cheapo lol and i look for the best deal and could not find anything less expensive when u take into discounts and freebies ... they have the BEST MID RANGED kit too that is best for 80% of the people. They are much less expensive when u consider discounts, freebies and SUPPORT. They & there friends are in these forums at all hours helpin ppl too. There really is nothing ur gonna throw away later. Again i dont see how u can lose and i imagine SI would return any unsatisfied owner but i have not seen any just happy owners, so i cant comment on that...... but i have lots of ppl have stuff replaced or fixed whom are super happy. if ur really skeptical and trust no ones support AND if for some reason u just didnt like ur volt ... u can all ways buy a $3 threaded converter and its 510 treaded. Sorry to rant and rave but i just see so many positives with SI & Volt and no negatives.

Then consider one can spend an extra $20 and they have an X2, which too me is better than an Ego (nothing wrong if u have an Ego and u like it) - but u now have 3 bats and the Great support from SI ... if u spend an hour and post a pic the 4th battary is free - extra bats are critical if ur quitting vs giving it a try.

If u want to start with an Ego like device ONLY, then u can get an X2, charger, CE3's & my be a clearomizer for about $30-$38 (650 vs monster 1300 bat) after discounts, buy some sampler juices SI or anywhere $16 can get enough to start easy, xo ur under $50 .... these prices dont even take into account that SI gives everyone one a free bat if u post ur pic. No matter who good the battery is its goin use up its life someday ... so this will be used and is really money saved, even if u dont need spares.a

if u want high end stuff (basically nice batterys with more options like provara, twist, or some variable voltage device) thats great and u should treat urself later. i say later not coz SI doesnt have that but u need to vape for a while or u at least have friend let u borrow and compare it with an X2 like device .... Me personally, even if money is no object i would vape for a bit before u spend more than $30 on a battery... Take into acount YOU are gonna need at LEAST ONE Spare too .... again since ur new u might need 3 or more spares ... say ur quitting u have only one spare, and something breaks. Anything no matter how good can break, .... even with excellent support ur going to need a replacement. ... so now ur down to 1 bat... if u get mixed up charging and stuck with out a charge ur down too zero Battery's, thats ok if ur not quitting just reducing .... but if ur quiting ur mind will make up reasons why u need an analog and it could mess up a good quit.

Is it effective .... well for me it is VERY EFFECTIVE FOR ME and lots of others i read about. My only goal before i decided to buy a Volt, was to cut back from a 1 pack to 1/3 or less of a pack & not to smoke at work ever again. I hoped to save money, but cigs are cheap in GA compared to elsewhere but had to at last break even. In Summary i wanted to improve my health, save some money, (& quit giving money to Phillip Morris and Govn Taxes ) & at min be able to get my nic fix with being treated like 2nd class citzen.... at the time i thought i dont have time or energy to motivate for quitting

Since i got my system i beat my goals, easy cutting back to less than 3 a day with no effort. Me personally I am saving money and i think alot, i am refillin which helps and only doing about 3 mils a day .... how much u save is so dependant on how much u smoked and what price anologs are & and how much u vap & how much time u have have to refill, find good deals ... i think if u vape like an average user, smoked like an average user u are gonna save some or break even with ANY system. If ur in a state or country with expensive tobacco u can save a ton even if u toss ur cartos when done, if u spend the time refilling ur gonna save at least half (u spend all sorts of time doing analog stuff if u think about it) .... Maybe if was 20 and only smokin 1/2 ppd a few years quiting or cutting back not a big deal, but i have smoked the 1 to 2 ppd for close to 35 years. I loved smoking (example i drove across the country alone once and i smoked almost 5 packs one day and about 4 freakin packs the other days. .....

At this time Analogs are just another flavor to me with some nostagia attached .... i would announce and start a big quit plan but FOR ME, its more important that i succeed at what i do & form new positive habits.....i quit months with the patch 3 times and returned so my hope is to set my mind to quit for the last time enventualy .... anyway today i cant say quit for nn days, but i can say i avoid 90% of the cigs i used smoke, with out a lot of effort. TO me that is very EFFECTIVE.

LOL this is getting long and ramblin & i got to run ... so ill post quick and put it away for a bit ... but just my thoughts on SI & Volt ... Also i like watching OUTLAWs videos he is a great teacher. and i am gonna save this and get something consise later.

............. Hope everyones Day is good and happy vaps :)

I have no issue with people who recommend different products, just people who slam other products they have never tried with falsities and make blanket statements like "you won't be ale to quit with a mini". I'm the first person to admit that I strongly recommend against the Blu product. But I personally used it and had bad experience and when I do recommend against it, all I says that the volt is a superior product with battery customer service and much cheaper. I don't tell them that using the blu will not help you quit analogs, because its simply not true. It may be a stepping stone too eventually end up with larger mod devices, but I hardly think its a waste of money. In the grand scheme of things, it's still less than you were spending on analogs. I could buy a new kit every month and still not spend what I did on analogs. We just don't think about how much we were spending on cigarettes since it was $5-$8 at a time instead of $200 once a month. Heck, I wouldn't even buy cartons because it was too much up front money.

The twist is a decent product, but IMHO it's not the end all to be all. I have to admit that I bought one for an upcoming video I'm making and to compare it to SI X2 and I will tell you, I prefer the x2. Personally, I don't care about variable voltage. I use my provari because it was free and it allows me to use my vivi novas without an adapter. With that said, the only time I adjust the voltage is when I have a vivi head with a different resistance. I pretty much always stay around the same watts as what you get with the X2.

As far as VVs are concerned, I have no direct experience, but I do have a feeling it's kind of like fine tuning a race car in some respects. I think, or at the very least hope, that SI has selected their working voltage and atomizer resistances to produce optimal flavor and vapor. While that may work for most people I also recognize that everybody is different and some folks might like to fine tune things. The biggest problem I see with them, VVs, is their physical size. Yeah, I know I have a size hangup (LOL) but if things get too big I'm just not interested. An X2-650 is plenty big enough and has enough capacity to satisfy me, but maybe not the next person. Then you have the folks that like to collect things and the fans of the latest and greatest. I guess it all comes down to whatever floats your boat, but knocking one product with unsupported claims isn't acceptable and, in my mind and experience, starting someone out with a mid to large system is just plain dumb. My opinion, worth what it costs you.

You are 100% correct sir. That's exactly what it does. IMHO, SI has selected the optimum voltage/ resistance to not only provide optimum flavor but also battery life. Remember, the higher the voltage, the quicker the battery goes dead.

As for size, the twist is even longer. The 650mah twist about the length of a 900mah X2 and the 1000mah twist is longer than the 1300 x2.

Wuzz - Somehow, it doesn't surprise me at all that you could keep a gal's interest for 40 years. ;) Happy Anniversary!!

Uncle - I hope that you recover soon. It's a similar situation with me, and that's why I'm testing the waters with speech to text. From day to day, I never really know which appendages are going to cooperate and which won't. (((HUGS)))

yeah that's about the same here the voice recognition really want to put in its own words sometimes it doesn't watI'm learning you have to go very slow 2 let it snow what you want to say as you can see it literally what's in numbers forwards and works for numbers I'm not going to edit this like I did for the previous ones I wish there was a manual or at least some kind of instructions that came or should I com with this program sometimes it's easier to just keep talking and then go back and edit. I keep forgetting you have to tell it to put in a. ,! It will put in a? Even when you don't want to then it won't put anything unless you tell it 2

oh and by the way ecs autopro safe programdoesn't help either. Sometimes what is auto saving what you're saying or typing it automatically post so be careful make sure you take your time before finishing or posting lgot of that a lot of that it's editing. New paragraph saying something doesn't always make it happen.

Had a nice day out yesterday at Hubby's company picnic. I'm thankful that it was a cooler day than previous years. They really do put on a fabulous day, lots of yummy food, drinks n booze :toast: *hiccup* band playing, arcade games for the kids that they can win tickets & get realy nice prizes, petting zoo ( the lil piglet was soooo cute but bit a few kids, no harm I think he thought they had food lol), pony rides, huge blow up slides and army assault courses, soccer, volleyball, rock climbing & several people demonstrating how to make ginormous bubblessssssssss then everyone could have a try also. They also held raffles and awards for long term employers. All of this continued throughout the day, even the food! Should of put myself in the petting zoo, I made a piggy outta myself LOL.
Twas a very nice day indeed.
Now, onto catching up on some reading on here.........
