Every day is different , but i love the ry4,555,dessert in that order.

i have tried all the mouth tricks folks have talked about on the ecf forums.

i have not had a stinky since memorial day.
so maybe it will take the 4 or 5 months to get my glands cleaned out.

Larry

I;m glad that you found some flavors you like and can taste. Your doing great!!! I never knew that taste was so important until I started vaping nor how frustrating it can be when it comes to vaping. When I went through all that taste bud and gland crap I was just about ready to go back to smoking I was so frustrated and it would have been so easy for me to do so since I didn't want to stop smoking to begin with. I quit b/c my Mother did and I wanted to support her. Now I really enjoy vaping.
I don't know how long it takes for our mouths and glands to get back to normal or to get them flushed out but the way I look at it is,when that stuff happens its a good thing it shows our bodies are getting rid of the tar and crud.Sure is hard to put up with sometimes though.
That trick my nurse friend told me about worked for me,I was so hoping it would work for you,and maybe your tastebuds just flat out don't like vanilla. Mine can't stand cherry and RY4 tastes like rum flavoring to me.My Mother loves RY4 and she says my favorite vape Freedom tastes like what roadkill smells like.So it could be that vanilla just isn't your vape

I'm hooked on RY4 as well, Larry. My taste hasn't really changed, other than vanilla no longer does it for me anyway. Then again I'm old and decrepid anyway, so who knows. I will say I don't wheeze like I was doing on tobacco and my sinuses seem cleared than they've been in years. Once they clear out completely, maybe the old taste buds will work like they used to. I can only hope. You're ahead of me, time wise without tobacco, so maybe that's what's happening. I dunno, just keep on trying flavors is all I can say.

ya know i smoked for 54 yrs,,,,so it will take a while,,,,the last 3.5 to 4 years i smoked cheap pipe tobacco and it really mess my lungs up,,,,i think that pipe crap did more damage to my lungs then the prior 50 yrs. did.

when the do gooders got the tax raise to help pay for the smokers health care,,,they caused more damage then ever.
the poor found cheaper ways to get tobacco and bypass the high taxes and in so doing caused ever worse problem for the folks that they wanted to help.

Larry

by the way,i am a dem and i voted the damn fools in there.

I used to love to smoke a pipe, I tried that to get off of smokes but ended up loving it and those Swisher sweet cigars. You know Larry you're right those do good doers have caused more problems than they have helped. Yes I agree tobacco is bad,yes I agree being over weight isn't healthy. My point is this---soldiers have died and are still risking their lives so the rest of us can choose how we want to live ours. That is the main crux with me.
One good thing Larry, they CAN be voted out just like they were voted in. I have a solution to our Congress situation and for every political office its simple-Don't pay them, let them get out here and work regular job like the rest of us.

Better yet, let them try to find a real job in this economy that they're respoinsible for screwing up.

UGH---Your right but atleast some things you can return within 30 days

You're right, we're stuck with these idiots for two, four or six years at a time unfortunately. By then it can be too late. To bad there isn't a faster recall process, then again that might lead to too much turmoil. Cutting their pay and benefits, like gold plated medical care for life, might be a good idea. Unfortunately that would take an ammendement to the Constitution or some really rational Legislators.

That's a GREAT idea Rave, write about all your travels and experiences, things most of us have never seen or will ever see.Like you I live out in the country with an abundance of wildlife but I don't have the gift of verbalizing what I see like you do.

Thanks! Actually - I did chronicle the three weeks that I spent in Alaska. It's punctuated with a whole potload of pictures that go along with what I'm saying. And, it's kinda fun. Wouldn't know where to put it though. Maybe I could plunk the whole thing in as a blog entry? Dunno how the blogs work, but I'll look into it.

Good Morning Larry, just a thought here...judging by the flavours that your liking presently seems that most of them have a CARAMEL blend in them. Maybe a strong caramel vape might be what your looking for??.
I know it's tricky finding something & can get expensive ordering liquids then not liking them!
I have many bottles of flavours that I enjoyed at the beginning but now I'm not too fond of but I vape them anyway b'cos I don't like to waste anything!
I switch my flavours constantly throughout the day which has been good for me in keeping my tastebuds alert. I have had a few times when everything seemed muted in flavour & what worked for me was to take a few sips of cold milk and then some nice icey water. Probably works the same way when people talk about mouthwash but I havnt tried that & the milk trick works for me. I think it works in the same manner as drinking milk if you've eaten something too hot n spicy, neutralizes the effect
I commend you for persevering & understand how frustrating it can be at times. Keep strong!
If you havn't already may I suggest youtube. I've watched quite a lot of youtube for eliquid reviews to get an idea of flavours, easier than reading reviews & quite entertaining at times :D
I too am having Vanilla issues, was my all day vape for many weeks but I've had to put that one away for a while, same bottle of juice but just started tasting funkyyyy!!
Good Luck!

On an average how many different flavors do people usually keep around?

I'm on the extreme end of the spectrum: I keep ten different flavors that I alternate all day long. This developed initially because of problems with losing flavor. That hasn't happened for years now, but constantly alternating the flavors throughout the day does keep them from tasting nasty.

Well we know they are going to look after themselves. They vote themselves raises and that's not right. I feel two things needs to happen--The American public needs to wake up and realize they work for us,and the politicians need to understand they are public SERVANTS. We are supposed to be telling THEM if they get raises or not. That would be a start.

i keep about 4 different flavors going at the same time and switch every time i reach for a vape.

as i said in my other post about doing my own mixing,i have caramel flavoring plus ry4 on my wish list.
i also have ripe banana, vanilla ice cream, tfa tobacco, and a few other flavors that i can't think of at the moment.

i am trying to put together flavors that i think would go together.
i think the ry4 needs more caramel for starters.
i plan to teach my self how to do this per my own taste, but i will listen to others for a starting point.
i will start with a 50 50 flavorless base and take it from there,,like we say in gardening,it is all an experiment.

Larry
