Thanks Lizzie. I started one person off on my old backups and she liked those, and now vapes SI.
Things have been up and down for me the last month - was in a car accident which was not my fault but had to have my car repaired, plus physio, time off work...
At least the vaping has been something to enjoy while its all been going on.

Car accidents are bad news when you get injured. Hope the phsy. therapy has you back to good-as-new....or well on your way since it was just last month. Something like that can send a person back to smoking, good for you for staying with your vaping.

Thanks Marlou. Being able to vape has been one of the positives. Still not back to full hours at work but will be before too long.

Question. This guy stood out driving down the motorway today because he was in a left hand drive. Big black car and it said Mercury. What are those? Looked cool.

Mercury was/is a brand of the Ford Company here in the US. It was sort of a less expensive version of the Lincoln, similar to Buick/Cadillac in the GM line, for years. Back in the 60's, 70's and 80's they were "land yatchs" and you could play table tennis in the back seat or put half a dozen bodies in the trunk if you needed to. Ford stopped production of them two or three years ago and only has the Ford and Lincoln brands now, similar to GM dropping Pontiac and Oldsmobile.

Thanks. When I first saw it I thought maybe it was a Cadillac. It was old style looking - also stood out because it was so big. You could fit Wimbledon in that back seat. Would love to drive one.

Here's a link to the Wikipedia entry for the Ford Mercury:

I'm glad you're on the mend and that vaping is a positive for you. Vaping isn't exactly like smoking, but I think it's actually more enjoyable. And I'm one of the people who loved smoking.

I failed the first time I tried vaping, but have been back to it for 19 months now. In the evening when I have my after dinner coffee I still smoke a cigarette, but since I've done this the whole time I figure it's not likely to lead me back to smoking. It's sort of a ritual.....and when I change my routine in the evening I forget to smoke the cig. lol

Coffee and Apple Dumplings this morning. Our apple crop has really been good and my sister went crazy making apple dumplings. If you've never had one, this is what they look like:

I've seen two of the original Woodstock artists perform live - Santana and Joe Cocker. They were good!
Haven't seen Jefferson - Grace Slick is awesome I think.

I saw Joe Cocker at Stateline in Nevada [now known as Primm[. That was a fantastic show. I would love to see Santana live.

I like vaping way better than smoking. Congrats on 19 months, btw. That is awesom. When the accident happened it was the first time I felt like a cig for quite a while - but I chain vaped instead. That did the trick.

Loving that apple dumpling with my coffee Bluesman. Nom, nom as Raven would say.

Kiwivap, it will be nice when you can get back to work full time.

Poor giant doggie, Awsum. I'm glad he was cooperative about his stitches.

Raynes, I still don't have an all day vape, technically. I switch off all day long but I keep coming back to the 555. Originally it was the Ry4.

My mother had a '72 Monterey convertible, dark blue with white top and interior. It was massive. The doors were well over a meter long and must have weighed about a hundred kilos. When you opened or closed them you knew it was a real car. When you went anywhere the car beat you to your destination, the hood was that long! What made it funny was that my mom was only 4' 11" tall and fairly thin. It did have bad gas mileage though, probably down around 12-14 mpg going downhill with a tail wind. They sure don't make them like that anymore, but this is "progress", now we get shoe horned into something that is smaller than my shoes and told it's "safe".

I saw them both last year - both were excellent. Joe Cocker has an incredible voice. Santana was really good too. He is playing here again in the New year but I will probably miss that as there will be other concerts with people I haven't seen. Funny moment at the Santana concert - middle of a guitar solo, I think "that sounds just like Santana".

That is hysterical but now at least we know that he's still got it when he's playing. He sounds like himself!!!
