Well, it is almost 9:00 AM in Oz (Australia) where is Debra? I put a clock on my computer desktop showing the time in Queensland just so I can keep track of her in Oz. Changed my avatar for Xmas and awaiting packages from SI and Wizard Labs.

Edit: My new avitar actually looks a little too formal for me, although I do like to wear my tux occasionally, especially on a cruise.

I see tracking me hey..ooooo...I like the new look...............

Although I am one of those who is "Agnostic" who just so happens to have a very strong moral and ethical beliefs, that includes a special "Faith in Mankind" . . . AND - No matter how ironic it sounds - I do believe in ALL Religions and Faiths because of their “philosophy” of peace and goodwill toward all men and women" (However, Just Not the Religious and "Self-righteous" Dogma) I Do Agree with "You"about honoring any man or woman whose life is dedicate to LOVE & PEACE . . .

More importantly, "SIR" - Very Nicely Put "OLD Wabbit"

AND - Just as Important, If Not More So - It is the One Thing "We' ALL Should Be Doing Throughout The Year Too . . .

Dedicating "OUR" Lives to Care, Respect, and Love & Peace of One Another . . .

uncle you shine like a beacon...our uncle lighthouse.......that's a big compliment to you......:thumbs:

OK, here's some German humor for everyone. I hope this won't offend anyone. If you are easily offended at something a little risque, don't click on the link. Don't worry, it's not actually pornographic or anything. I think it's funny and intriguing, but then, I'm weird. (We all claim to be a little offbeat here, so I'll share this fascination of mine.)

A little history. I belong to a horse listserve, Equine-L. One of our members is German, and he and some cohorts performed Die Glocken von Rom (The Bells of Rome) at a barn party one Christmas, with the guys dressed as Santas. The horse group loved it, and every Christmas, the video gets circulated again. I chose a similar performance, not his, because this one is a little clearer, higher quality. Still, watch it in large screen for full effect. This performance seems to be done at parties, not necessarily Christmas parties, and it probably helps if you have a few glasses of good, strong German beer to go along with it. Enjoy!

Die Glocken von Rom - YouTube

The idea, in general, seems to be to wear some sort of trench coat, bathrobe, or other long garment that opens in the front. Under it, the men wear a frying pan over their private parts. Then, tied to their knees is a cord with a ladle attached. When they flex their knees, the ladle comes up and hits the pan with a ..... That happens when the bells of Rome are supposed to ring, I think, though I don't know German, so I'm not sure what the song is saying.

By the quantity of YouTube videos, it seems this is a fairly popular entertainment in Germany at parties, though some seem to be onstage. None seem particularly professional. I think the fun is that the audience probably knows the performers. It's kinky and camp, something on the level of Rocky Horror, but really, a thing all its own. I'd like more info on how all this came to be, but Wikipedia has nothing about it. Anyone German who can fill me in on this? I love it!
LOL! Appears the second guy had a 'slight' problem from the get go ...

The first video - I'm glad I wasn't the lady front and center! Wonder if she needed a "change" after all the laughing! :D

TURN OFF THE NEWS.......

Morgan Freeman's brilliant take on what happened yesterday :

"You want to know why. This may sound cynical, but here's why.

It's because of the way the media reports it. Flip on the news and watch how we treat the Batman theater shooter and the Oregon mall shooter like celebrities. Dylan Klebold and Eric Harris are household names, but do you know the name of a single *victim* of Columbine? Disturbed
people who would otherwise just off themselves in their basements see the news and want to top it by doing something worse, and going out in a memorable way. Why a grade school? Why children? Because he'll be remembered as a horrible monster, instead of a sad nobody.

CNN's article says that if the body count "holds up", this will rank as the second deadliest shooting behind Virginia Tech, as if statistics somehow make one shooting worse than another. Then they post a video interview of third-graders for all the details of what they saw and heard while the shootings were happening. Fox News has plastered the killer's face on all their reports for hours. Any articles or news stories yet that focus on the victims and ignore the killer's identity? None that I've seen yet. Because they don't sell. So congratulations, sensationalist media, you've just lit the fire for someone to top this and knock off a day care center or a maternity ward next.

You can help by forgetting you ever read this man's name, and remembering the name of at least one victim. You can help by donating to mental health research instead of pointing to gun control as the problem. You can help by turning off the news."

Well stated Raynes! I totally ( 200%) agree with everything you said!
As I've read elsewhere ... gun free zones are (sadly) oft referred to as kill zones. If we were to use the media logic - no one should drive or fly as cars & planes have also been the cause of great tragedy. Personally I will continue to pray for the families ...

Holly - Gorgeous! I don't have patience for such things so I admire those who do all the more!

Reno - hard worker - IDK ... maybe desperate or dumb! (I see it as $ for hay!) couldn't yank those stupid forms loose to save my life today! but we did get several feet of forms set for pouring more tomorrow. I will miss out on that but the plan is to pour more on Weds & Fri. The rest will have to wait til Jan as the cement company shuts down for the holidays this Friday. Generally - I like physical work. Much quicker recovery than from mental fatigue!

Good morning everyone, Maxwell House coffee is brewing, but no sweet rolls sorry.

I notice by my clock from OZ that it is 11:15 PM across the globe, time for Debra to be getting to bed, but if you are still up, sleep tight and don't let the X2s bite. I see she checked in with Imagine last night and today just may be the "Dawn of the T3s" they are in customs.

I have purchased quite enough "stuff" my dear and will await everyone's review before I part with my Social Security Dollars thank you very much.

PS: I have quite a few cute little animated "GIF" files that I can't seem to post in my musings with you all. They upload as "JPGs" and don't annimate anymore :(.

Thanks for the coffee Wabbit.

Looks like winds to 50 miles per hour today but it is above freezing and I don't have to scrape ice off my windows this morning. Hubby got the fire going before he left for work. Nice.

Gotta clean a couple of houses today.

Have a great Day, Volties.

hi rabbit....do you like my new kitty with wings?.....im getting use to late nights....very very hot today......we had a little storm....nice drop of rain for hour or so....so its abit cooler now

Yes, I love your new wings, now fly and go to sleep my lady, you need your beauty sleep. Your "time" on the post is later than what my Melbourne clock says by and hour?

Good morning Lizzie, I see it is windy out West. Just mild and some drizzle here on the East Coast. I remember the days when we had a "real fire place" and a wood stove. It was a lot of work, but nice warm heat. I have geothermal heat now (I heat with dirt lol) and it is not real warm and comfy, just OK warm, and we have a gas fireplace and an electric fake woodstove. At least I don't have to chop and split wood any more. Have a good day everyone!

Good morning all, Thanks for the coffee Rabbit. Love your bowtie, very snazzy!

Cute avatar Debra, I also have the FDA hearing going at the same time I'm visiting Chatsville... just listening at the moment. Waiting for someone to really give the benefits and advantages of using the ecig as a smoking cessation over other forms. Well, the day is still young.

Will check in later.

Sometimes I think like Jerry Seinfeld or Kramer and was contemplating:

Perhaps I should buy a ProVari, Why Not? I am not going to live forever and I might as well enjoy some more toys before I pass on.

Then I thought, where would you carry that big thing? In your pocket?

I thought about walking around looking like I had a salami in my pants and ladies would stare at me and laugh.

Then I would have to explain that it was only my ProVari. Uh Oh more trouble.

They would giggle and ask if that is what they call it in Italian, and I would probably answer No, you suck on it and vapor comes out.

Now I am in big trouble! I can just imagine them calling WalMart security and being dragged out in handcuffs charged with indecent vaping no less.

I think I will stick with X2s, they fit in my pocket and are more my size if you know what I mean.
