It's still snowing. Earlier, the landlord came to plow the driveway, and now I see he's back, and his tractor (a true antique), with big, deep tires and chains on them, got stuck going up the little hill at the top of the driveway! He backed up and gave it more gas and got up onto the road, but that doesn't bode well for cars getting out of here! He's back, plowing over what he already did in the driveway. I guess it still needs more smoothing. I'm glad both Bill's and my car have AWD & studded snow tires!

Here's a picture of that great old tractor. I think it might be as old as I am! That's my car behind it. The car was cleaned of snow about an hour ago, but now I see a thin film covering it, so next time I go out, I'll have to clear the snow off again. I think Monday's supposed to be good weather, so I hope to go visit Penny then.

What a day! I got busy cleaning and finally decided to get my desk cleaned up. It took an entire paper bag for general recycling and a full shredder bin! But, I did it. As I'm getting older, I've had to start using reading glasses. I can't see very well to fill cartos and such so I need to be in full light and have my readers on and sometimes use a magnifying glass.

I saw a post on the forum from an older lady that had one of these: View attachment 164441

So I ran out to the office supply store and bought one. Then I went to hobby lobby and picked up a serving tray that was on sale so I could use that to fill cartos and clearos without any worry of juice going all over the place. Gosh, this new habit is costing me a fortune!
But I won't go back to the stinkies!

Those are handy - used to have one at the office many decades ago when I worked as a proofreader for a title company. Lots of cutting & pasting (physical -- before pc's) and re-typing legal descriptions. The titles were like a 4 font or something -- couldn't read them even though I was in my 20's at the time. So, yea, that device will really save your eyes from so much strain.

I spent the morning cleaning my office as well. The vaping stuff was migrating. I ordered one of those Stanley deep-bin organizers which should be here by tomorrow. Of course, my stuff just recently multiplied many times over since I started DIY. I got 30 new flavors in the mail today. And I just ordered a bunch of bottles and stuff. Plus from SI a new battery and some T-3s. This stuff just keeps growing.

Wow, debra; my b-day was yesterday on the 28th as well. Happy Birthday to us!!! (a day late:oops:)

HAPPY (belated) BIRTHDAY ! !

Ask and ye shall receive, Marlou!

I just got an update:

"Blues is okay and sleeping. His heartbeat is still a little irregular but his blood pressure is steady. They have him on IV antibiotics for the infection. The doctor says he expects him to be fine, it's just going to take a little longer than expected."

Okay - maybe I can breathe and sleep now! *whew* :)

This is wonderful news!! So glad to hear he's doing better. Sending hugs to both of you.

OK, here's an age test for everyone, especially the birthday girls!

Yep, I'm old. I know exactly what this is.

I have to share this. It's amazing.

So good to see so many old acquaintances here, and so many great new people, too! :)

My life has been upside down for over a year now, and I've nearly abandoned most of my ECF threads, due to illness & business.

Lost: two 17 yr-old kitties and one Mom; my beloved old house in KC (I moved); and all my dear, dear friends in KC.

Found: a couple of amazing juice vendors; my way around parts of my new "home" town; and not much else.

Rave, you and Bluesman are both in my prayers.

Goodbye and good riddance to 2012. May 2013 bring ALL of us a much better, healthier and happier year! :)

I have been reading the forum and the Internet on storage solutions for vaping and found several hundred dollar plus ideas and even one hand made for vaping which was cool, sooooooo I also researched unfinished boxes and found one at Hobby Lobby. It is 14" X 9" and 5" deep, which will at least get the clutter off of my desk and somewhat organized. The best part is that it was only $17.00 (unfinished). Since I have a workshop full of "stuff", it only took me a couple of hours to put in some dividers and stain it.

Top pictures are of the plain unfinished chest and the bottom is stained and loaded up.

Good Job! You are very talented Mr. Bunny! Might as well get a couple more ready because your collection will definitely grow.

Hi Eleanor.

I second the motion for the new year. I was gone from ECF for over a year; just came back in October. So I know what you're saying. I'm ready for the bad times to be behind me. Hoping the same for you.

Well I hope for better luck next year... Too much tragedy this year. (All over the globe)
P.S. A friend of mine died on December 25. Just got back from the funeral.
