Here are some other attempts to photograph that ornamental grass that I took today. These are all from a while ago.

I guess you can see I've been fascinated by that particular plant. I love the texture and detail. Maybe one of these days, I'll get the photo I really want. Meanwhile, each take is interesting, anyway.
I've always wanted to grow this plant! Top one is my favorite!

It's harder to get published than you might think, and there are a lot of more talented photographers out there who probably aren't getting published. I did get paid $50 once upon a time for a magazine to use that photo of Taughannock Falls that was taken in autumn. That's probably going to be the peak of my photographic career, though. Meanwhile, if you want to download my photos for your own personal use, you are welcome to. Maybe you could print them out and make a book for yourself of your favorites. I'll keep sharing, and please tell me to stop if it gets to be too much.
What's that website (?) something fish? You can do a photo book - think "coffee table" book!

2 words....breathe taking....speechless....honestly....cant you blow them up....sell them for painting on walls...look im no art critic...but I go to our local flea market stalls...and I never see pictures like this for sale...amazing sandy....im feeling:2cool:thank you;)
Hey! Don't forget - you can enjoy them ALL as screen savers!

I couldn't blow them up to poster size -- not enough pixels. But you could probably print them out 8" X 10" and put them in a small frame if you wanted. You are welcome to do that with any you like. As for me going into business selling them at flea markets, I think I wouldn't make much money by the time I framed them and rented a booth and sat there all day hoping for a few sales. And I'd have to use fairly expensive frames to make them look like something, and that costs a lot. These ideas sound good till you try them.

Not snow, but can you guess what this is? I thought it looked like some sort of sci-fi city, or maybe from one of those fantasy novels. But it's a stump of a tree, and the little "buildings" are the rough pieces where the 2 cuts weren't made all the way through the tree trunk and they broke off when the tree fell.
THAT'S incredible!
I love the look of the farm w/ that background! You SHINE SandySu!
Funny girl !!!!

That was one of my dad's favorite jokes. lol Another one was "what's worse than biting into an apple and finding a worm?"
Finding half a worm.

My dad loved corny jokes. Drove me crazy with them. lol

LOL. That's a new one for me! Around here the chicken crossed the road : to show the raccoons. (or skunks) it could be done!

Photography is your passion, second nature. A friend of mine has that eye to capture the perfect shot. You do it because you love it, not to make money. Beautiful, awesome work! Keep um coming, I'll never get tired of seeing them. Thank you for sharing your natural gift and talent with us.

SandySu - you should create a few /bunch of photo albums on your profile page - to keep them together so we can EASILY go for a drool fest!

Oh! I'd love to see your results of iced tree branches at night! I have one I like but you have an eye for composition!

Told Hubby about the Provari and he said, "Good, I'm glad you bought it. Was you worried about telling me?" I told him, "Yes, since I have been on the tight budget kick everyday this week :)"

I knew he would be good with it. He loves that I barely smoke anymore and would really like it if I gave up the last few stinkies a day.

Way to go Lizzie! Girl! you really know how to work it. Make that man feel important. Now you can buy all the vape equipment you want! He'll probably tell you to buy another provari. :headbang:

Me, too. I love 555 but I switch back and forth with English Toffee/English Tobacco, Asian Ry4/Vanilla Cupcake, Marlboro/Black Walnut and I love the Sinnabun from Nicquid.

Where did you find Black Walnut? English Toffee? Are they ready made or diy? I think I would like those liquids.

Those are my DIY creations. I make these tobacco bases with Asian Ry4 or English Tobacco or Virginia Firecured or Marlboro and then I decide what to add to my pre steeped bases. So far, I'm doing pretty good on flavor combos:) I really love English Tobacco with English Toffee.

You guys are seriously freaking me out with the talking pets bending your wills. Just don't turn into serial killers, like Son of Sam. And Lizzie, you're not worried about what he bought?

I already know - a chainsaw that doesn't even work. He thinks he is going to turn it into a thing of beauty:) It's his Christmas money so I didn't say a word.

Not Spanky. He actually believe's his breed name.. Cavalier KING Charles... he thinks he has slaves. It's beneath him to do dog things like fetch. If I throw a ball, he'll watch it roll away then look back at me as if to say... if you want it, go get it. And yes, I'm his personal door(wo)man.

Sandy, I like your photography quite a bit. Remember, it's really more than "composition" that makes a great photo, it's what appeals to other people eye and imagination. I've seen many photos that are touted as "great" that just don't appeal to me while other, not so "great" ones knock my socks off. The key is finding what appeals to the most people and you're well on the road to that!

I have some iced tree branches in daytime, but I'm not real good at night photography. Gotta figure that out yet.

Here's one that sort of at dusk. I love that bluish light on the snow at dusk, especially with the yellow glow of lights from windows. I have yet to get a good one of that.

IMG_0055_zps966efd4b.jpeg

Here's one that I think was after an ice storm, though maybe it's just snow coating the branches. Either way, I love the lacy effect.

I photograph what appeals to me. I see something, and I hope to capture the essence of what I see. Sometimes it works, and sometimes it doesn't, but I keep trying. Thanks for all the compliments, folks.

Oh boy. It is supposed to be above 40 degrees today. Grab some Kenyan coffee.

I really need to rake the horse pen and clean the goat pen so it will be nice to have a warmer day so I can start getting caught up.

The goat pen is a mess! It is so cold out that I have been cleaning the straw out of the goat hut and raking it out to the sunny side of the hut for them to lay on in the sun. They really like that but now I have about 8 wheel barrow loads of straw to take out. If I do three or four a day, I might get caught up by Thursday.

I put straw in the horse pen for him to stand on in his hut and outside by the fence line so I need to rake that up along with all the hay he has been wasting. He was getting a lot of grass hay so that he could eat all night if he wanted to while it was 3 and 4 degrees out overnight. He likes to push all the hay out from the feeder with his nose and eat the fine stuff in the bottom first. Then he eats the rest:) Inevitably some of it ends up off the rubber mat and onto the dirt. He doesn't eat that which is fine since I don't want him to get sand colic.

A little waste is to be expected with the goats or the horse when feeding hay. Some people like pelleted food since they feel there is no waste but I think the animals love spending time eating. That little horse can eat for several hours at at time. Since it is grass hay, he gets to eat almost as much as he wants. The straw and the wasted hay goes into my compost pile so it does get used. Since we have no grass clippings or other green items for the compost pile [it's a desert], the hay helps get that compost pile to compost hotter.

Wiseguy loves eating and he starts chewing as he sees me walking over from the shed with the hay!

Penny Poo Poo is talking to me again:facepalm:

Thanks awsum140 for the PMs, and also Lizzie for your flavor advice I just ordered:

Peach, English Tobacco, RY4 Asian, Tobacco Absolute, Butterscotch, and French Vanilla. Wizard Labs was out of Chocolate and Belgin Waffle which I wanted to try. I will continue my DIY experiments, this time with just Pure 100% VG which is cheap from WallyMart and if it tastes OK I will then mix up a batch with my 50/50, 12 MG Nic.

If this does not work, I will get Mrs. Wabbit to mix up a batch of cupcakes with the flavors LOL

I'll have to look for VG at Wally World when I go to town. PG on the other hand, everyone says to buy it at the Tractor Supply but I just can't seem to get over the fact that a Tractor Supply isn't expecting you to use it on or in your body and I just go ahead and buy it from Wizard Labs.

Don't overdo the tobaccos, IMHO. I am using 4% English Tobacco and I think I will give it a try at 3% next. I do like it at 4% but it isn't for pansies:)

I mixed English Tobacco at 2.5% as a standalone and it's a nice flavor, at least to me. I do want to up it a bit, maybe 4% and see what that's like. I usually mix a 5ml batch for a sample now so I can really test the flavor over a period longer than a few drags from a drip setup.

I'm sticking to USP grade for everything. PG and VG aren't all that expensive to begin with from WL or other vendors and I feel "better" if they're USP and food grade. Nicotine is more expensive, but still relatively inexpensive in USP certified.
