my fear comes from when I was about 3 years old my parents took me and my cousin to feed the geese at a local pond. My dad set me on a big bolder rock with a loaf of white bread... I will never forget this!! and he walked over about 50 feet away with my fam and was taking pictures of me feeding the birds.... well geese are very big to a 3 year old and they all swarmed me....It was ok until I ran out of bread!!! they started getting very loud squawking at me!! and coming closer... my dad on the other hand found it FUNNY that I was freaking out and was not the fastest at coming to save me!!! now as and adult I know I wasn't in any real danger....but I just remember how mean birds can be lol!!

I don't like birds either.. lol 2 of them got inside my sister's garage.. they were kamikaze attacking us while we were trying to get them out.. lil terd birds!

:( I can't even imagine how horrifying that must have been to a three year old. Geese are ....... not very polite.

Geese can be vicious. I've heard of a flock of them being better than dogs at keeping intruders off a property. And you're not alone. Even adults fear them. See http://hyperboleandahalf.blogspot.com/2010/01/dinosaur.html

Highly disturbing - Talk about PTSD ... I cannot imagine your ever having felt safe with your Dad again. :(

This is what freaked me out:

And go figure: I'm still the nut that goes "here birdie birdie...OUCH!"

I have a similar fear of ants. Something about melted ice cream all over my arm, coincidentally when I was 3, and being swarmed by crawling ants. To this day, I can't stand it when my hands get sticky from food.

...and I'm still scratching my head over the cheese thing...HUH?

I said I was sick of 'diet' food and wanted a pizza with extra cheese. Esoterica said something about being tired of people downgrading cheese (which I didn't quite understand), I said I like cheese, then everyone else added what kind of cheese they like.
