well in my opinion:

pros:
Battery never dies
manual PT has no cuttoff
you never loose it is always plugged in

cons:
you have to stay in one place
the cord can get tangled
limited color and no LED

Just curious. What made you decide a passthrough is best? I went the other way, with the normal batteries. I like being unattached. I'd think the wire would be annoying. So, you passthrough fans, what makes you like them better?

I appreciate that Very Much. I truely did come on this morning hoping for a Fresh Start. Was just shocked at what I saw. I shouldnt have let 1 person get to me. And I want to say "sorry" to that person for making one Vent.
I am Truely undecided on which way to go , but I feel a passthrough type is for me. I have cut the anaologs in half , so for this month and next , I dont mind trying new equipment. then hopefully I can get into just the Juice/cartos and really start saving like you. ( just hope it doesnt take me 6 months ..lol ).
I appologize to ALL.

Welcome, Jays1fan.:)

I like mine because it creates a stronger hit than the battery. But the battery is just fine too, but taskes a little longer to build up the hit, if you will.

That makes sense. My manual seems to do the same. Is it even stronger than that? Stronger how? Throat hit? Vapor? Taste? With the manual, it has better vapor. I also notice the drip tips help, too.

in fairness I should mention we have a new battery option in stock that we are testing extensively before we put it up for sale. We built these units from the ground up and are custom VOLT (no one else has these). They are not a "new innovation" but the internals are built specifically for us by our factory for the VOLT cartos. They will have a removable passthrough option. (no this is not the battery mentioned from another vendor). They will be available in manual or sealed auto option.

So you may want to stay tuned for that official announcement. They will not be replacing the current VOLT line of batts.. they are an alternative...

can't say much more but you will see them sometime this week or next week.

No reason not to but that's your call. If you change your mind just send me a pm. The offer stands. If you want to know why just check out my profile and look down at the groups I'm a member of.
Best Regards,

I apperciate the gesture , but I can not accept that. I do thank you for your post.

Yes , sometimes it is Hard doing what I do ( emotionally ). I have been Mr. Mom so to speak for over 17 years now. My Daughter , Shelby , is Autistic. And on the Extreme Spectrum. It wasnt until 3 years ago , I finally got her potty trained.
99% of the time she is in her own little world. But that 1% , like when she gives me a hug for no reason ..makes it all worth while. I tell myself everyday that things could be worse and I thank GOD every day for the blessings he has given this family.
( Sorry to Ramble )

Anyways, again I do thank you for the offer , but must decline.
All my best to you and yours.
Scott

the cord is about 3 feet... I would not recommend an extension...but you can plug it into a USB hub or the wall adapter which will extend it for ya :)
Oh, yeah, then it would be perfect for you! :)
Imagine, how long is the cord, and can it be extended if need be?

I would say the vapor hits like the first hit off of a brand new fully charged battery every time.

That makes sense. My manual seems to do the same. Is it even stronger than that? Stronger how? Throat hit? Vapor? Taste? With the manual, it has better vapor. I also notice the drip tips help, too.

Sandy, remember we were talking about that just the other day? And I did take your advice, and use the drip tip with all of them now, batteries and the passthrough. It is better, and I've made several posts about how I thought I'd hate those things. But, like you said, I ended up really enjoying them!
*By stronger, I do mean everything you mentioned. The TH, the vapor, and it lasts longer. But, I also found out that it's easier to 'burn the carto', so it's a learned balance. I really like them. :p

Wauzznt Me ,
Do you like Baseball or collect Stadium Give Away Bobble Heads ? If so , maybe we could make a trade ? I would feel better that way. But please dont do it if you have NO USE for it. Anyways, I have a Vernon Wells Blue Jays SGA Bobble Head Doll that I would give up in trade. If you are interested , let me know.

Welcome, Jays1fan! I started with the V2's passthrough, as I have bad knees and am pretty much tethered to the computer, anyway. When I saw all the battery color options that the Volt had, I decided to go with them, instead! I also couldn't resist the diamond tips! LOL!

To all those who have had their CC info stolen, I know the feeling. Luckily, mine was just a small charge, but still the hassle of having to change everything is a PITA!

Hope everyone is having a good one! Happy Vaping! :vapor:

I was having the same thoughts on modifying a battery to work both ways a passthrough and normal batt.
What are the SI's specifics for those batteries? What did you requested from the manufacturer?
I still can't find dead batteries for experiments, seems that i have to sacrifice good ones.

You can use extensions but with a THICKER extension cable to prevent voltage drops and losses and your PSU has to be able to supply a bit more than 1.5A

Did i say that wrong?
You have to excuse me for my English, i learned the language from TV and the internet. I'm not the brighest.

But i can speak the German language perfectly if you want :D :D
No, silly - I meant from the wall to the PSU, not the USB cable.
One of my best friends is French, and when she first came here, she watched a lot of the show Friends to improve her English! :)

This sounds interesting, and I'll be watching for people's reactions to it when they use it, but I have more than enough batteries now, and I'm not sure if I'd ever use the passthrough option, so I probably will not get one.

It amazes me how SI just thinks up new stuff all the time.
