Or maybe just phone in your orders from now on?thanks guys for the support. How do prepaid cards work ? dont you have to give them some kind of info to either a bank acct or other card to get the funds onto the prepaid ? I will lower 1 card to only $100 limit and use it. might be done with paypal after this. I used the Debit Paypal Card , and the only thing I have used it for lately is online ecig. might have to go back to checks and just wait on the stuff. uuuuggggh!

I didn't know they made wallets like that. Where did he get it?

I didn't know about these scanners they could use, but of course, my first question is how those scanners would get the security code off your card. You know, those 3 numbers on the back of your card that you have to type in when you order something online? They can't, apparently. And a cheap fix, according to an article I read at Credit and debit cards targeted by new scanning device : News : ConnectMidMissouri.com is to wrap your cards in aluminum foil. So, if the purchases were made where the security code needed to be used, then it's likely the card wasn't scanned. I think it's probably someone's getting into people's computers, maybe that way they can know what you type, as someone mentioned. Then they'd know the security code, too, wouldn't they? Probably the best thing to do is be sure your virus software is up to date. The Walmart card sounds like a good idea, though I resent having to pay for the privilege of spending money, even if it is only $3 a month. And I guess that'd mean trips to Walmart to put money into it every time you wanted to use it. For some of us, where Walmart isn't close by, that'd be annoying and time-consuming. But that article said bank debit cards are the most vulnerable of all, so that's not a solution either.
It seems every time I turn around, there's more theft via computers than yesterday! I guess the only solution is to be sure your computer is as secure as you can make it or to never purchase anything online or with a credit card in a store. What a drag!
...only if you can come up with a Voltie name for her!![]()
