I tried that already - ask Rave - it just is not the same... I wish it was...
It is for ME now!
You're relatively new and haven't heard this story, but I once had Blueberry Pie liquid and REAL blueberry pie in the fridge, and the real pie ended up going bad, because the liquid tasted soooo much better! :p

Yeah, I can relate to this. I would always ask "What would you like for dinner?" because I was reallllly hoping for a suggestion. Never got one. EleanorR is right - It's rough cooking for a family every night, and 90% of the difficulty for me was trying to think of an idea of what to make. *sigh*
Besides, if you don't answer, you might just end up with Tater Tots for dinner!

Okay question to the group. If someone has asked you the same question 25,404 times and 24000+ times you have given the same answer - do you think they should stop asking?

Every day my wife asks me "What do you want for breakfast?" - "Food"; "What do you want for lunch?" - "Food"; What do you want for dinner?" - "Food" -- Or "Do you want gravy for the potatoes?" - "If you make it" etc. etc. etc.... Every day for 23+ years... (LOL)...

I think she's looking for a more specific answer. Why not try something like, "Bacon and eggs" or "Just cold cereal will be fine, dear," or "The usual," if you eat the same thing for breakfast every morning. It may make you impatient, but it sounds to me like she's trying to please you, so be grateful that she cares enough to ask.

Now for me it shows she still cares and cares and cares - I am spoiled (probably to much) and the other 1404 times I did take her out to dinner when she asked what I wanted for dinner... Something like this - "Honey - what do you want for dinner?" - "How about crab legs? I am buying..."

Ha, I remember one time 10pm at night. My wife had a craving for crab legs - I went up to the store and talked the manager into pulling some out of the freezer for me... I spoil her too... :D

Okay so it is late at night and I am at it with the mods again. One of them said something

that really got under my skin! I know I need to choose my battles, but I will go down fighting

the good fight! Everybody is so damned politically correct that they don't want to look at

reality. I will speak my mind. So this might be my last post for awhile. You guys are great,

and so is SI. :)

I want to be a new SI customer but the site sems to not be tablet friendly. The site does not respond to scroll on my tablet touch screen. Any other tablet users had this problem and know the fix? I can't scroll, register, browse, or shop. Had my tablet since December and this is the only site I,ve had this problem with and if I'm at home, I AM on my tablet! :D

Ugh ---- Just take me out back and shoot me! Or better yet: Offer me a cup of coffee. :) My coffee maker is still possessed by an evil demon and difficult to coerce into being cooperative this morning. Maybe I'm just being paranoid, but I swear the manufacturers make these things with an expiration date. :glare:

Rave, last ditch effort. Only for emergencies. Pull your coffee basket/cone out of your coffee maker. Insert 1 filter. Add as much coffee as you need for 1 cup. Hold it over your coffee cup. Slowly pour very hot water over the coffee grounds. Makes one cup of emergency coffee.

I guess that woulda been easier than digging out my camping coffee percolator and giving it a thorough scrubbing. It's still campfire black, but it works.

I am very sad that I don't get to play with you guys every day right now, but I love catching up on all the stuff I have missed.

You guys are the very best people I have ever met on the internet!!!

I am not even sure that is a compliment, but it was meant as one.

To bolster that, I will submit that I have been on the internet in similar groups and settings for over 20 years now. My first BBS being a BASIC coding board I found in 1987 or 88.

Love you guys!!!
