I always felt this thread to be my safe harbor...I come here to relax and to discuss with people I felt to be friends from the beginning... Here, I feel loved and supported, and I can discuss about everything without any fears... So, if I haven't said it before, THANK YOU all!!

Not to mention the warm, gooey feeling of instant love you get from all the "likes!" I hardly ever get "likes" anywhere else! I barely get replies to my questions anywhere else! Seriouslly, you guys are awesome! :)

If this is just an occasional problem for you, you could try taking Melatonin at bedtime. You can take that for up to 2 weeks straight without negative effects. No longer than that though - you could screw up your own internal system for Melatonin production. I have a sleeping disorder (Delayed Circadian Rhythm) and this is what I do whenever I have to "reset my clock," or when I have to get somewhere early the next morning. The trick is to relax and not fight it. Once you start thinking things like "ugh, I can't sleep. Why can't I sleep?" it actually triggers a part of your brain to try to keep you awake (it doesn't discern the fact that you're actually trying to get to sleep). I also have looping DVDs of fun movies that I've seen a million times (haha, "Happy Feet") for nights when I have too much going on in my mind and my brain won't quiet down. Just lower the volume and concentrate on the movie (turn off all the other thoughts in your head) until it knocks you out. Then a couple of hours later when you wake up again, the movie's still on (it loops), so those thoughts that might be keeping you up don't get a chance to sneak back in!

Good luck! :)

This is exactly what I did to shut out the thoughts when my late husband was in ICU on a ventilator for three weeks and then for a loooong time after he passed away. I picked movies that I'd seen so many times with the kids that I could quote the script. I would close my eyes and focus on the movie until I conked out. It made my brain shut up, and I don't know how I could've gotten by without it.

Kia, try not to let this place we call the internet get you down. I know that is easier said than done at times. I hope you and everyone in Voltville have a much better day!

BTW - I'm at it with the mods again, so if I disappear then you all will know what happened.
I've been biting my tongue on this for a really long time, so I'm gonna try to quietly sneak it in, and I'm only gonna say it once:
I've always been headstrong myself, but I learned a loooong time ago that you really have to pick your battles, because some of them just aren't worth winning. No matter how much you know, no matter how much you think you're right, there's only so far you can go when making a stand against stubbornness and ignorance. Not to mention people out there that just loooove confrontation and know how to push your buttons. Then you really have to think about what you win when you do - what do you actually win? Is it worth it? Also, this is a really big world, and everybody is entitled to their opinion (including the people you're going head to head with). Sometimes you just have to resign to live and let live, shrug your shoulders and say "oh well" with the knowledge that you've done everything you could, then move on. Yeah, I'm a peace-loving hippie...

And of course, without knowing what's really going on (I'm in the dark most of the time ), when I say "you" I don't mean you personally. That's just my poor grammar, my personal experience, and only offered as food for thought. No offense intended.

Whew, is it hot in here?

You are right, and I know that. :) My problem is that when I feel that I've been wronged, I have a really difficult time just letting it go. I don't know why I'm that way, because whether I'm right or wrong, nobody is going to change their minds. I do know one thing: Voltville is great and I enjoy it a lot. I do have to growl every once in a while though. :)

Have missed quite a lot this week. concentrating on day to day stuff, trying to spend as little time on the internet as possible, working a lot of hours and fitting in ten pin training with my coach. I want to crack the 200 this year and im getting real close. Two of my friends have moved interstate and I can feel the hole that it has left behind. :(
Adjusting the kitty's to being locked up at night time ( in a big area) ( its law here to protect wildlife) and the male just has to make more mess for me to clean up in the mornings.... there is more kitty litter out of the box than in ??? LOL any hints for me to keep it in , please feel free to let me know.
Hi Imagine, nice to see you poppin in with worldy moon news!!! Kia don't know you all too well, but love ya voltie all the same!!!
Retriever .... try not to wander too far for that scratch.... stay here where you can get them without any fights!!
Rave - I sure hope for everyone, but especially you that nicotine doesn't become restricted.
Marlou - I mix as basic as you can get for DIY... I just mix 5 & 10ml batches of one flavour like caramel, or banana crème or vanilla with nicotine and vg, ( with the correct math to make it 10 -12mg. Its not excellent tasting, but its enough for now to satisfy both my curiosity and my wallet.
Cindy - I used to order a lot from Tasty Vapor, so happy for you that you got some awesome juice with prices to match!!! I never got to try their chunky or banana creme pie..... you must tell us about it!!! ....LOL well okay only if you want to ;p
Its been a long day for me today, well sure feels like it. a 0450-1300 shift and now chilling down with some coffee and RY4...
Have a great day all, sure miss you lots.... xxoo

Haha, my top bowling score was like 62. But with all the beer we could drink, it sure was fun!
TV Monkey Chunks is incredibly like the ice cream (B&J Chunky Monkey). Add in a little strawberry and it's the perfect banana split...but I think I'm still a little bit ODed with anything banana.
0450-1300 is about the time I normally sleep! (well, OK. it's been more like 0250-1050 lately.) Don't know how you manage!
Always nice to read your little updates! Keep 'em coming! :)

Life's too short to be going through all that aggravation. Just relax, let it roll off your back, enjoy the ride, and hang out here with us! :p

Reptilr is a Bowler - that is great. We used to be a family of bowlers.

10 pins are easy. It is more psychological than bowling technique in being able to get them regularly. Convince yourself that they are no different than a 5 pin and you will get them every time. I remember when my daughter got her first 200 - she still has the patch for it in a frame...
