I taught my son and his gal how to make easy homemade doughnuts out of biscuit dough in a roll this morning. They made me a special one:

Here's one of the older boy. I like this one because Penny looks so good. I know, the helmet is too big for the boys -- it's mine. We left their ball caps on under it so it would fit better. If they visited more often, I'd buy a child's helmet for them, but this is the first time they've ever been on Penny.

Ok...at the risk of sounding like a blithering fangirl-I cannot believe how amazing the Volt products are. I recommend them to everyone I talk to about ecigs. But today put icing on that cake.

I forgot to take my Volt out of my pocket while doing the laundry, and about 15-20 minutes in I realized what I had done. I turned off the machine-which had already filled with water and detergent and been banging around halfway through the cycle-and retrieved my Volt. Automatically threw away the carto because even though it still probably worked I knew I didn't want to vape Tide. I figured the battery would be dead for sure, didn't really know if I should even bother trying but my curiosity got the better of me. I towel dried the sealed battery and let it sit on the counter for a few hours and IT STILL WORKS. Charges fine and vapes fine.

Can these things be killed or what:blink:? Mine in particular have taken alot of abuse and even the ones I got a year ago are still going.

Ever see a lithium battery go off? Do a youtube search if you're up for it. I've been using them in RC Aircraft since they first came out. Three and four cells wired in series. If I heard one clanking around in my dryer I'd worry lol.

Splenda tastes more like the real thing than any of the others, but can be bad for your liver in large quantity (because of the chlorine in it). NutraSweet causes severe memory loss in any quantity (among other brain disorders). Stevia to me has a weird licorice-like aftertaste that I don't really care for, but it's probably the safest one out there.

My diabetic mom used to drink a lot of Diet Pepsi and always got so frustrated and depressed when she kept forgetting stuff - she thought she was losing her mind to old age. I told her to stop drinking diet soda, and her memory (and brain function in general) improved within a couple of weeks.

I have had a constant supply of Diet Coke ever since I was in my 20s. Go through two 2-liter bottles a week. I also have a terrible memory. It has only been the last year or so I've started drinking more water and have discovered Gold Peak iced tea, so been switching between that and Coke in the evenings. I wonder if I cut out the Diet Coke altogether if my memory would improve too. Hmmmm.

I also have 3-4 cups of coffee in the mornings (couple at home and couple at work). Used to put 2 sugars in each, but when I started Weight Watchers I tried to switch to Equal, then Splenda but didn't care for either. Then I heard about Stevia/Truvia. I don't notice any odd aftertaste, and while isn't quite as sweet as real sugar I'm pretty happy with it. I think the jury is still out on how natural it still is after processing, but it has been in use in other countries for a long time. I read that Diet Coke in Japan is sweetened with it, so I wonder if that version will make it here.
