Hi mufflerdragon welcome to the thread , rule of thumb ... As long as you check in often you should be fine.... But you may run for the hills when you have'nt read here for a week. Or take the opportunity to sit down with a nice hot cup o coffee, take up residence in that comfy chair, puff on which ever volt colour takes your fancy and enjoy the show ;)
Now i think ill go have some late lunch to lift my spirits on our crappy weather!! Megabee could u be so ever kind and send me some sunshine...

Twilight Zone
I'm not going to even try. There will be periods of time when I'm just not at the 'puter. It will be interesting to come back to all sorts of inside jokes that mean squat to me. Hopefully, I won't be the brunt of them. :D

Not likely at all Dragon. Hope you enjoy the thread and company.

sigh,,,,,,,,,:offtopic:

and TOTALLY not sarcastic,,,,,,,it's a sincere question.

but why do people always assume that someone who wants a cig sized unit now,, WILL ABSOLUTELY 100% upgrade to a much larger one later???? I mean, do most people actually upgrade? that might be why they assume it will happen,,,,,,but I just do not get it,,,,I really can't see myself wanting something much bigger,,,,,,,maybe I'm wrong,,,,,,,,I might eat my words in 6 months,,,,,,,,,IDK,,,,,,

Sweet Holly, no worries.

I always recommend the SI product line. I don't foresee myself "upgrading" beyond SI products. However, my advice is still, "Just don't end up like me."

Well, I have been vaping for 8 months and I still prefer the smaller units. The X2 is about as large as I will ever go. I am not saying I will never upgrade, but I will not be walking around with an 18650 battery ran device hanging out of my mouth. I do not even use the X2 outside the house or car... When I go anywhere the Volts are my out and about PV's... The X2 with the pass through function is great around the house when you are using your computer, but even when you are outside working in the yard the Volt is much better... and that is why I am not changing...

So far so good.

Look, Holly - I am going to tell you up front and you can judge for yourself if you fall into this pattern or not. Do you go big on everything? Do you have to have an 84" HD flat, surround sound, blue ray, 3D, TV. Do you have to have a dual 27" HD monitor powered PC running 12GB Ram with dual Quad Powered Pentium 7 with a 2 Terabyte hard drive and dedicated 2GB video cards and sound board to boot? Do you have to have the latest model of what ever comes out??? If you do - then you will upgrade... If you do not and you are satisfied with what works and these small batts in the Volts work good - then you will not upgrade... It is that simple. Some do and some do not. Now you decide - what type are you???

Now, I'm in trouble. It isn't a matter of having to have the biggest and best, but a matter of having it all. Ummm, that doesn't sound quite right...

...but I am a hoarder. I admit it. Completely.

:danger:

What I posted in another thread just a little bit ago:

eyebedam, your post of that case in another thread back when you were using the Volt is what prompted me to look for one. I had to go to the 'bay to find one. I didn't like it at first, put it away for the longest time, until now when you posted it again here.

So, I'm still using the Volt. I like my 65mm and 78mm batteries. I also like the new X2's. I don't have any desire to jump to bigger or fancier mods, I like the SI products so I'm staying with them. However, I am a hoarder, and I have to have all the colors, bling, etc. (/sigh)

Anyway, I grabbed the Maxpedition again, to give it another shot. I took the contents from my two Volt cases and added my home stash and a little more, plus my pcc. So...

Six regular Volt batteries (65mm and 78mm)
Seven X2's - the white one is a 650 with an XL carto, the X2 immediately left of it is a 1300 with XL carto, and the X2 immediately right is a 900 with an 808 to 510 adapter and a Phoenix tank carto (the other 4 are all 650s with XL cartos)
A lanyard
PCC in the right side zip pocket
Volt standard carto hardcase with 5 cartos
USB charger
Two 5ml bottles of liquid
PCC/X2 charging cable
Two XL blanks (under the lanyard under the pocket on right)

Zips up ok, though a little bulky. Not any more so than the two cases and pcc I was carrying separately, though. And, the cartos represent about six or seven different flavors of liquid overall. Not a small case, to be certain, but it does hold everything the hoarder could possibly want to haul around. Seriously, I think I have issues, here.

With any luck, SI will soon run out of product for me to want.

(Heaven forbid SI should hook up with a company like maxpedition to start producing cases - in colors...)

hi all, beautiful Sunday here in Queensland Aus, I am kicking myself for not stopping in here BEFORE I made another from SI lol, i put my order in using my volt points not knowing there was a sale on. Oh well looking forward to the order arriving in 3 weeks time anyway lol. I hope you all have a great weekend.
Oh, no, Megabee, you silly girl! You did it again! Contact CS. Maybe they'll still give it to you...but you should know better by now! How's married life?

I think old-timers recommend big, expensive PVs because of their experience with the crappy first-gen stuff that came out. Those were really bad. But they were OK so long as you didn't start chain-vaping, which most people ended up doing. Then you really started noticing how crappy they really were. Little do they know how much technology has changed, even just in the past year...
