G'Mornin' Volties! Y'all have been busy, and it took me awhile to catch up.
I hope that those who are still suffering from the effects of the derecho get power back soon. As soon as I saw that monster on radar, I knew that folks would be having serious trouble. 13 fatalities as it made its trip from the midwest to the east coast. How awful.

Yeah, bunch of us were up late and hyper lol. I had trouble sleeping and logged on a couple of times a whole lot later than my norm. Still had to get up and cook breakfast for my wife. Getting ready for Church now.

I didn't get my order in till late last night and couldn't buy as much as I had intended. But I still ordered a white 78 auto, a blue 65 auto, some cartos and carto cases.
An unexpected expense came up. The vcr part of my vcr/dvd combo player stopped working. Because I still have a lot of movies on vhs I had to decide what to do. After spending yesterday afternoon researching my options I decided to buy a vcr/dvd combo that dubs vhs to dvd. More searching for a good price for one. I'll convert the vhs tapes I still have to dvd. Then when the new unit breaks I'll just need a simple dvd player. I say 'when' it breaks because that's more likely than 'if.'
I didn't know the vcr part of the player was broken till the vhs tape of Cinderella arrived. Don't laugh....I'm still a kid at heart and love those Disney classics.

It's still hot & dry here, though it's supposed to be a bit cooler today than the last couple. We had temperatures in the 90s, which is hot enough for me, though I know it's not as bad as those in the Midwest and South. I haven't even gone out to see Penny, though tonight I plan to -- and ride, if it cools off enough before sundown.
Thanks for that link, Rave. I wonder how my friend in Reston, VA, fared, where it said the wind was highest.
who's laughing????? DH and I are the ones that have annual passes to Disney World and go at LEAST 2-3 times a month. We are camping there with our camper for our 29th anniversary in October. We love love LOVE anything Disney!!!!!!
Hot here too, but no more or less than normal for early July,,,,,,,,about 93 degrees. The humidity will knock you over though,,,,,,which is why DH and I are waiting until evening to go to Disney today. Too hot during the day.
Feel bad for all you swelterers out there. It's 59F and overcast here in the PNW. Granted, I would prefer sunshine in JULY!
Wow. Haven't seen 59 since about Feb. here in the Sunshine State. AKA the Gunshine state by the Brady Bunch lol.
Just looked at my outside thermometer. 92 and climbing. About 3 this afternoon it'll get hot. Next chance of rain is 10% on Thursday. Gonna have to water grass or lose it.
That's too hot for me at the Center of the Universe. I guess I'm glad I'm somewhere on the outskirts.
