There is some hope that the new battery colors and new clearos will be in today or tomorrow, isn't there?
I don't know about up there but here they're known as the "Florida Panther" and on the endangered list. They're the exact same animal. I used to keep up with how many were in the state but haven't lately. I've seen prints on the beach at the Canaveral Shores National Park but I've only seen two cats in my life. They've got a broad range here and it's getting harder for them to roam it with "civilization" encroaching. When I lived just south of Jacksonville we had one that would come by twice a year and let out a scream that would make your skin crawl at night but nobody ever saw it. I saw one in my headlights crossing I 95 between Titusville and Daytona at about 3 in the morning and got a pretty good look. Awesome animal. I saw another in Sanford by the river, again crossing the road, with a kitten in her mouth. Guess she was moving her litter for whatever reason. One of those Kodak moments when you don't have a Kodak. I don't need a photo except to show. I can close my eyes and picture it all over again anytime I want. Oh, and it's interesting to me Rave.
I hope you can get a photo to share with us.

Oh, I know what I wanted to say,,I think this is day 11 without cigs,,,,,and today, I walked all over disney WITHOUT huffing and puffing like I often do going up hills and up ramps,,,I was TOTALLY floored,,,,,,,I did not huff or puff EVEN ONCE.
Good Evening, been a while since I've been on here. Just wanted to give a bit of advice. If you ever have to throw things in containers to prepare to evacuate your home, keep track of your e-cig stuff. So happy to be in my home when so many don't have one any more, but wish I knew where the rest of my batteries and chargers were.

Today is day 7 or is it 8 without analogs ... i guess it doesn't matter. I'm in heaven. Walked nine holes this morning. Vaped a bit here and there while playing. It took the place of my old stinkies or a cigar. Shot a 38 and drank 40 oz. of water. Been doing a little bit of running and playing tennis (hadn't done that in 15 years). Lungs coming back. Energy coming back. Tomorrow morning I start my training for a 10k that is on Sept 8. To top it all off, my niece tried my Volt last night and after one drag ordered her starter kit from SI. What a weekend!
Burned over 900 calories this morning playing golf and had a decent shot or twoManaged to drive a par 4 in one. This has been a game changer in just a week. I can't imagine what things will be like in a month.

That is an amazing story to hear! They are fantastic animals, and I can't imagine seeing one in the wild. The closest that I've gotten is playing with a couple of cougar kittens at a wildlife art show where I was exhibiting. With the way that our deer population has exploded here, I would think that the local farmers would welcome them. Experience has taught me that this will not be the case. They will be shot on sight just as coyotes have been. I do understand that they are worried about their stock animals and pets, but our environment needs predators to thrive. They have been demonized.
Oh, that's not likely. I've only been able to get two pictures of coyotes, and I've been here for a long time. Predators are so secretive, and very difficult to photograph. And ... I'm none too stealthy these days.![]()
You've got that right.
Trail cameras aren't that expensive anymore. I think if I had a big cat around here I'd own one....just sayin...lol.

Wow!! Congratulations!! Now - Imagine what it will feel like in three years. *look at my join date*
It is sooo worth it, and it gets easier and better the longer you stick with it. I have absolutely no desire for a cigarette now, and haven't in literally years.
Thank you. I can already see signs of my body thanking me. With the four 100+ degree days we have coming here, I am sure I will be thankful to have clearer lungs and more stamina. Funny little thing too.... I haven't smoked at work or during the day in YEARS. So, when I took out my Volt last week to take a drag, someone looked at me like "wtf?" He said "When did you start smoking?" I said, "I quit last week." The quizzical look on his face was priceless.

I'm thinking about trail cameras, but I thought I might contact the Indiana DNR and see if they may be interested in setting some up. I got a lot of forest here.![]()

Excellent!there's ALWAYS blind hope,,,,,,,
oh my gosh, after reading a thread where someone said they were literally ATTACKED on a stop smoking support group, I decided to google,,,,,,
good lord a mighty,,,,,,that kind of treatment would stop anyone from even TRYING to quit smoking,,,I am so glad we are a bit more supportive over here!

I've always love that photo Sandy. That is so priceless.
I hear the coyotes every night here - and I love it. They keep the rodent population down. I've flushed a couple when I was morel hunting, but never got a photo. I think that we heard a bobcat one night when we were camping. It was pretty distant, but it sounded like a woman screaming. We were all so concerned that David even drove to the closest neighbor to see if everything was okay. You never see bobcats either (almost never), but they live in virtually every type of natural habitat.
Somewhere in my printed photo archives I have several pictures of a coyote that decided to follow us down a trail in Yosemite National Park. I was astounded at how bold the animal was. Sadly, I suspect the reason it was so bold was because it had come to expect handouts from tourists.![]()
