We had our own version of dumbest crook here a couple of months ago. A guy who seemed little nervous walked into a store with a gun and anounced it was a robbery. The store clerk tried to reason with him and he wound up telling her he needed the money to help his grandmother. She talked him into applying for a job instead of robbing the place. He filled out an aplication complete with his real name and info then left. Took our SO about 20 minutes to find him and lock him up.
That is sad. It is bad that he tried to rob the place, but it is sad that he got to where he felt he had to... Obviously his heart was not into it...

I had a dream last night I thought I'd share
I dreamt that the FDA had discovered that people who vaped after quitting analogs, cleaned their lungs out faster than those who did not,,,,,,,that the vapor is, in fact, "cleansing",,,,,
Once that fact was discovered, insurance companies were forced to start paying for vaping equipment and 50 ml of juice per month
talk about a wild dream!!!!!!!!

I agree with Semi. So sad that he was so desperate, then actually tried to do the right thing. But bringing the gun into play was really bad, and someone could have been hurt.

I converted a smoker over the last few days to trying a Volt. She lurked, read, but would not join ECF... She ordered yesterday a basic kit, but I am worried about her being a success... She was so scared of nicotine that she ordered 0mg to start with... I hope I can talk her through this. I am still going to try and get her to join ECF and this forum - if she keeps talking with me - this is through one of my techie forums - most are shy about this type of interaction...

Morning Semi, and all the other Volties as well. All of you that are in the path of that cold front please stay vigilant and safe today. They're predicting some severe weather that goes along with it. At 0 nic she's going to have a tough time with cravings I'm afraid. If she winds up looking for solutions the ones I can think of are to get some nic gum or lozenges for that part of the addiction and enjoy the e-cig for the other part. If you can put her fears to rest she can order some 24mg and mix it with the 0 proportionatly until she finds her level. Even at 24 she'll get less than cigarettes. Wonder what her worry is about it. Hope she joins us and asks questions. We love helping.
Thanks Wuzznt - that is what I tried to convince her, but I will stay in touch with her and hope for the best...

It isn't as crazy as you might think. PG is anti-bacterial and I believe it has had a positive effect on my lungs. I went from having bronchitis 3-4 times a year and pneumonia 1-2 times to not being sick a day since I started vaping which is the same date I stopped smoking over 2 years ago.
Hope u have success Semi, I think this group is one of the many nicest I've come across, back in the beginning however there were a few i stumbled through and had a few troubles with. Your friend is in good hands having you around, and i would have to agree, having no nic will definately be a struggle but she's taking that first step to giving it a go. Take care with all the heat i hear about.
Tomorrow is nephew #3's b'day. He wanted a remote controlled tarantula, and so he will get it tomorrow. teheee i think we will be both playing with it for a while, as i know my sister is not to fond of 8 legged things, and my brother will run a mile
Well im going to watch the rest of bones, browse a bit and catch ya later. Hugs
Hey Konstantine, How's your Ry4 mixing going... I love reading about your creations. I have become somewhat boring in my mixing. All I have been using these past few weeks is banana cream(tpa) & vanilla custard (capella) and maybe a few drops of cinamon danish.

reptilr i prefer crystal clear flavors, cherry, strawberry etc, that vanilla footsmell, pineapple fart thingy it not my thing.
Besides my flavors kick ..., i only did some mixes which were successful.
It's fine but i'm not sure if i can get close to SI's RY4 but it will be ok.

I would stick with it, you could ask questions on her behalf and you can still learn a lot without actually posting.
One thing I'd make sure though is that she has quit smoking in her head. I think that's the hardest hurdle, once a smoker as decided in their head that that is it, they are going to quit smoking, then the transition to vaping will be a lot easier. They need to get to that place on their own though otherwise they might feel pressured.
I have a mate who has been talking about quitting for a while now. I bought him a starter kit in Imagine's Birthday Sale, I haven't pushed it too hard on him because he still isn't at that quitting point, but now the safety net is there for when he gets there. He isn't one for forums either but I think I know enough now to get him started.

Nicotine is not bad like many people think it is. They are using it to help Alzheimer patients. It is known to help users focus. You can't really OD on it because you would get a headache, nausea, or both and these side effects are very short lasting.
