Cool Cindy! I'm sure you wrote where you bought this from but I'm being lazy & asking again lol I've been looking for this for a while now. I make my own laundry detergent using Fels Naptha or Zote but had heard that Octagon was really good....Leave some at the shop for me lol
Another great thing is just plain ole white vinegar as a fabric softener, (plus its many other advantages) I usually use a capful of scented pre-purchased fabric softener or essential oils to a full bottle of vinegar, cost effective, smells great, works really well & also removes any soap residue (which would help your skin)
Now if I can get my whites actually white that would be a huge bonus. I possibly need a new washing machine cos all my whites are coming out dirtier than when I put them in, regardless of using the homemade stuff or the expensive detergents!

Don't forget to add a cup of hydrogen peroxide to soften the water and enhance the detergent action as well as OxyClean does. We have a lot of iron and maganese in our water and before I found that one our whites were slowly going from white to pink to orange.

you are right there.

they want to protect you from your self,,,so every thing that use to be good is crap any more.

you never know when some dumb a%s will hurt them selves or some one else.
Your right about that, but there's a double standard thing going here to for example whoever invented the cellphone had a GREAT idea but what idiot ever decided to fix them where you can text and drive? I guess no one ever bothered to run statistics on the number of deaths caused by texting or someone possible baking with Borax.

Kico, Fels Naptha is the Dial version of this Colgate soap. Melted/pulverized soap bar, Borax + Washing Soda (Oxy clean from the dollar store optional). Add vinegar to rinse cycle for hard water. Less chemicals and no sulfates. Laundry detergent from the store has a lot of stuff in it to make it sudsy and smell nice, which doesn't do anything to actually make it clean any better. You don't get a lot of suds with homemade stuff. Plus clothes dry faster. Haven't actually tried it yet though.
It does dry your skin out on the outside, so you have to moisturize. I can't think of the term (and I'm not gonna google it again), but somehow the "lard" in the soap penetrates the skin to make it work from the inside. That's one of the things that makes it good for skin conditions. Haha, I don't think they use actual animal fat anymore...

I've started using it on my psoriasis, but they say it takes a couple of weeks+ to see results...
Wonder if you could use a little vaseline mixed with some Vit E lotion for a moisturizer? That's what I was told to do for cracked heels and chapped feet or possibly pure shae butter that comes in tubs. A friend cuts a chunk of that off and uses it for a moisturizer. Its 100% natural

Good morning Konstantine (or whatever the time of day it is in Greece - lol)

Just a note to make you guys laugh or cringe or gag or some other appropriate reaction:

I took Lexi out this morning for a short walk. I was looking around the woods distractedly until I looked down to see what Lexi was consuming. She had found a a pile of deer "pellets". Yum yum!! :p

Never really had a problem with my skin except for certain allergies (itching and some hives) during my youth . . . However, for about 30 years I've been allergic to all laundry products and use whatever is on sale that has nothing added - "Clear" . . .
plus I stopped using all fabric softeners awhile ago too . . . all those DAM scents . . .

AND - Now in the past 10 years it seems my skin is "too" sensitive to everything at times, especially during the summer months . . . Besides the fact that in just the past 2 years I have been diagnosed with Psoriasis and the creams/saves the dermatologist prescribes never works to clear it up either . . .

So - Please let me know how it works . . .

BTW: Just as an FYI - many of the Tablets can and do have "keyboards" available - I have a "Bluetooth" Keyboard & Mouse (Great to use when I have "My" Xoom connected to the TV with the HDMI Cable and can use across the room to "Surf" the Internet or reply to emails using a huge TV screen) . . . Also, you can also get a "Cover" that has a keyboard attached you can use for tablets too . . . Here is a Google Search: https://www.google.com/#q=tablet+ke...pw.r_qf.&fp=6595cab5be1782ef&biw=1060&bih=507

Wow! Can I relate - I laughed, cringed, AND gagged - I'm such a city person - while hiking in the woods of an old oil lease in PA I excitedly picked some up and asked my "local" co-hiking friends what type of berries these were
