Yippppyyyyy! Glad to hear it! Someone once told me having a Fur-baby is like a kid - except you get to spread the college tuition out over their lifetime!



OMGosh! Umm ... was it worth it? Sounds sooo fun!


OK - off to see about posting a few pics of the horses we currently have around here = including the lil stud colt I hope get's "left behind"!

Well that's a matter of perspective, for me it was fun at least up until I got handcuffed for the first and last time. My trip to the police station was in the back of the police car, which was no fun at all but once there I was the talk of the station and most of the cops made a big joke out of the fact I was 45 years old and still doing foolish things like that (their words not mine, foolish indeed). The judge I had to go in front of to post bail was not amused at all and gave me a real ... chewing which I'm sure he soon realized were wasted words. They threatened to revoke my drivers license but since I had a pretty spotless record they just decided to make me pay a hefty fine. The cop that pulled me over told me if I had kept going he would have not chased me because they have a policy I wasn't aware of that forbids them to pursue anyone doing 100+ MPH due to the danger it poses to other traffic (now you tell me). $500 of the fine was for towing my bike back to the impound lot and $300 of it was for storage for the 3 hours I spent in custody waiting for a Judge to come in and set bail. All in all I came away with an education (never pull over if under those circumstances again) Sport Bikes are allowed to mount their license Plates up under the rear fender where they are next to impossible to see, check, did that. Ride with a friend to go ahead of you and make sure the road is Smokey free before attempting to do it again. So it wasn't a complete waste of time and money. would I do it again? cant anymore. Did I do it again when I still could? I'll take the 5th on that.
This is my street rocket which is still in the garage but I can no longer ride it because I can't bend my back anymore. So I am relegated to my Harley Ultra that has a more conventional seating position. Oh well...

My favorite speeding story happened a few years ago, like about 40 or so. A friend had gotten a ticket for speeding, 60 in a 50, and wanted company in court so I went with her. The guy ahead of her, when the cases were being called, plead "not Guilty". The cop who wrote the ticket was in court, of course, and testified he clocked the guy at 135mph. The guy then got on the stand and said "it's not true I was doing 135, my speedometer only said 120!" Stupidity of a teenager, $500 dollar fine for him, priceless laugh for a courtroom of people.

Hi Lilac, I stopped in to say good morning to all, as well

Today's plan. I haven't got one but I do have about a zillion things to do like straightening out a shed, putting some concrete down where the wind is blosing the sand away from the shed foundations, washing and hanging up laundry [I don't iron it].

I would take the little horsey out today but I am a bit worried that we softened his feet up a bunch to have the farrier take them down quite a bit. His feet were a bit too long to start with. The farrier was quite happy about how soft I got his hooves. This is the second time we have had the farrier out and I do like him. Anyway, my little buddy has feet of iron and I take him on asphalt as well as road base gravel and packed dirt and looser parts with sand over the packed dirt. I think I'll let his feet harden up today and take him out tomorrow.

Nice looking bike.

If you didn't pull over you would have received a summons/ticket in the mail. The only way to get out of it would be to show up at court and hope the police officer didn't show. If it was in a different state than you, you may have an easier time, just don;t go into that state again.

Ever try to read the license plate on something moving 140mph and my plate number back then was 0101101. I was told this type of number is very difficult to read or remember, by a cop. I'm just an honest guy, I pulled over right in front of him before he even got his car in gear. He was a Virginia State Trooper just out of the Academy maybe 22 years old and the first thing he said to me when I took my helmet off was "Aren't you a little old for this kind of Sh**?" The nerve of some people...

Ever try to read the license plate on something moving 140mph and my plate number back then was 0101101. I was told this type of number is very difficult to read or remember, by a cop. I'm just an honest guy, I pulled over right in front of him before he even got his car in gear. He was a Virginia State Trooper just out of the Academy maybe 22 years old and the first thing he said to me when I took my helmet off was "Aren't you a little old for this kind of Sh**?" The nerve of some people...

I used to use springs under the screws holding my license plates. Had to give that up because the cheap metal kept tearing apart from the vibration, but they couldn't be read at anything over 1,000 rpm in my TR-3 (car, not bike).

Hi Marlou, just wondering how You & Emma are doing today?

Hey, Enzusa... Emma is doing fine. It was tough when I first brought her home, 'cause she couldn't eat till after 6:00 that evening. Anytime I walked she bounced around thinking she was going to be fed. If I sat down she sat in front of me with big, pleading eyes. All is back to normal now.

Probably like a lot of people on here I dont have anyone who gives me support, I dont know any other vapers & have never seen another person vaping. I talk about my vape gear a lot at home, I think my family are fed up with listening to me ramble on but I keep chatting and every now & then I'll make a big statement " Wow I need to pat myself on the back for doing so well & not smoking". I get a bit sarcastic at times but usually get some kind of mild response. lol.
I wonder who others chat to to give them support...I rang my Mother once but her memory is fading & she hardly remembers me even telling her that I didnt smoke anymore so that wasnt very helpful at all.....

Enzusa have you ever thought about being a psychologist? Does anyone in your family smoke? IMO that's the key, a non smoker doesn't know what it is to be addicted to smoking. My family and yours to it sounds like is supportive as best as they know how to be.
That was just a bad day,when I posted that I had to vent somewhere,some way,a bump in the road so as to speak.
I will say this, I love our chat room,everyone here is great and I never realized how special this room was until I ventured out of it.

On the upside with hurricane Issac, at least mudhill will be getting some rain, just hope it isn't too much for him and there isn't any damage of real significance on the Gulf Coast. Looks like the locals actually did their job this time and were prepared.

Hey Raynes! For 20 years I never had a cat that really got a kick out of catnip...until my current one. I limit her time with the catnip mouse, as I worry that she'll dehydrate. She drools and drools and drools--and I have to retrieve it with a pair of tongs, because it's that disgusting. She'll go to sleep (out of exhaustion, I think), with her face on it/stuck to it, if I allow it, then wake up and start rubbing on it all over again, until she's all sticky and yucky. My baby girl's a messy drunk! If all your kitty is doing is sleeping on it, I'd think the worst that might happen is she'll lose her love of the catnip (wear it out, in other words). So it's your choice, as the provider of all that's good and fun. I don't think catnip can be harmful, in and of itself.

Millie is the cat that you helped me with before,the one at the shelter that attacked them that I got suckered into fostering,last month she came out of her shell finally,has learned to play,there has been no further attacks on us,she gets in the floor now,all that good stuff.
Its been a long time coming but it looks like she is getting over the abuse that she suffered from. I got the catnip scratching board to get a break b/c she was like a puppy wanting me to play constantly.
Its doing its job,I guess but she is stoned out of her gourd,not drooling or anything like that just calm and its been a much welcomed break. If I had known catnip had that kind of effect I would have gotten it when we brought her home.

I think I will and see how she reacts when she gets off of it again. I don't want to get into a fight with her over it
